This was the cleanest and best maintained Asian buffet in the area. Prices were more reasonable for lunch and dinner pricing. Service was good from clearing plates to refilling drinks. The food seemed fresher and the variety was decent. The parking is a bit tight and surplus parking is located in the back of the restaurant. I will be returning here soon.

Our family LOVES this buffet! It's always family friendly and they are always smiling and accommodating to our big family that goes to eat. While I love all the good basic dishes, I seriously only go to eat the clay pot chicken, coconut shrimp, fried calamari, sesame balls, nava, the soups, and their sushi. It's that good!! It's worth my money every time!!

My husband and I love coming here! It's always clean and staff are friendly! Some of the food could use some more seasoning but overall I haven't had any issues and the best part is I can get up and get something else! I typically get a little bit of everything.

We were so happy that we found this place looking for something else. So we came here by accident and I'm glad we did. We love the decor outside and inside and there's so many seating area. We were seated promptly after arriving by a nice host. Our server was the nicest lady. One more perk of coming to this restaurant. She also kept her area clean at all time. She was very attentive to all the patrons there. What about the food? We liked it. So much to choose from: sushi, seafood, soups, hotpot, hibachi, salad, kids friendly like pizza, nuggets, pasta, noodles, veggies, and desserts. I love seeing the Korean Short Ribs, crispy shrimp with head, and octopus tentacles. Those are my favorite and hard to find. They were well cooked and not overly salty. The hot pot option was in the soup area. If you are into crawfish, they had plenty of that. Sushi was good too. Didn't try the hibachi this time since we wanted something right away but there wasn't a long but the choices above kept us going. The dessert was decent. The flan was eggy, the scale sponges were moisture and airy. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be stopping a.

It's a buffet with americanized chinese food. What is one expecting here? For me, it served it's purpose. I know what I am getting in to every time I go to an asian buffet. And this place was no different. It satisfied my lunch hunger. And the kicker? They were serving actual McDonald's Chicken Mcnuggets. How did they get these? Did someone go to Mickey D's and bring them back? Did they get a bag from the distributor? Either way, I was happy. Ice cream was good, too. Cookies & cream. Yum. For $18.06, for lunch with a beverage.

I have trouble passing up Chinese buffets, so when it was lunchtime and I had an hour until I needed to pick up my wife from her nearby dental appointment, I headed here! Not too busy on a weekday at 11:45, there were plenty of tables. The food on the steam tables appeared pretty fresh (or at least as fresh as it can be in this situation). Pretty solid for straight carbs with noodles and rice dishes, the usual protein heavy trays were a bit lacking. You could probably do better if you wanted to do the hibachi where you can put in as much meat or chicken as you like. But where China Buffet seems to excel is over at the sushi section. A very good selection and not just the boring ones. There was mackerel. And more. Hey, I took a pic. Service was good. My waiter was back and forth often to refill my water glass (you should really drink a lot of water at a Chinese buffet). I liked it. I'll try and be back!

China Buffet is a new Chinese buffet restaurant (duh) in the University area. For me, it fills a void that was left when Chen's Bistro buffet closed a few months ago in the same general vicinity. Despite the uninspiring restaurant name, the interior of China Buffet is much nicer than most Chinese buffets. Most amazing are the entrance with its huge copper doors (which could rival PF Chang's entrances) and host stand area with the oval blue sky and twinkling lights on the ceiling. There are about 10-12 bars of hot and cold foods, plus a Mongolian BBQ area where a chef will cook up your selected meats, veggies, etc. fresh for you, a sushi bar, and a dessert bar with pastries and ice cream. The food is all good, but nothing really stands out as truly exceptional. For true sushi eaters, the sushi is just "meh." It's all very filling, though. There are a lot of foods here for kids and other picky eaters, too. The prices are very reasonable -- $8 for lunch and about $10 for dinner. The buffet area and dining room are all very clean, although the dining room could use a few more separating walls for ambiance. The decor is all really nice, though, and you can tell that they put a lot of money into the restaurant. We'll definitely be going back occasionally on those really hungry lunch days.

Went here last night for dinner. The food was flavorless. The "hibachi" bar had raw meat sitting out. Very expensive for low quality food.

It's a little pricey for a buffet ($9 for lunch, $13 for dinner) but they have a huge selection, including hibachi.

The prices were still $30 a head. I don't think there was a time limit for how long you could stay then. Now it's $40 a head (which inflation.... I get it) with a two hour limit. My main issue is the ambiance is horrible!!! They painted the big wooden booths with this cheap sticky black paint that's slowly coming off. I was wearing shorts and it was PAINFUL if I got up too quickly. The lighting is cold and uncomfortable. It's not a welcoming place to dine anymore. A completely depressing environment. Everything looks like it's in disrepair and being very poorly maintained. The quality of the meats has gone down as well. The sides were not fresh. Especially the cucumbers. This is no hate to the staff but almost everyone that worked there seemed miserable as well. They did a great job but it just seemed like they all were sad for some reason. I truly think it's the environment. I would hate working at such a depressing restaurant. The staff were attentive and consistently checking on us. They never left us alone for too long! There was one guy with glasses that was exceptional. He was great with the small details of serving. Always pre bused something from the table every time he came by. If you're smart you will bump his hourly and make him a shift manager/ trainer. The staff is the reason I'm not giving one star. Korean culture is vibrant and fun! Please hang up some art work and posters. Hire someone to remove that god awful sticky paint! Which I know you can't clean properly. Change the lightbulbs to warm lighting. Put out some fun decor on the tops of the booths. Make your restaurant into a place people naturally feel happy to be at. Paint over that black wall in the back and fill it from top to bottom with Korean art work as an accent wall! Or put in giant decorative shelves with plants and collectible Korean toys. DO ANYTHING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
