We go here for the seafoods and sushi. Been here a couple of times now. Service is alright and people are generally just doing their job as you would expect in an All-You-Can-Eat place. The kids enjoy the ice cream.

You should stay away from this restaurant for a number of reasons. The first reason is that the food is not authentic. The restaurant is managed by Asians but all the food is cooked by Mexicans. During lunch time, loud Tejano music was blasting in the restaurant from a cheap radio at the sushi counter. Sorry but the ambiance sucks. The food is horrible. Observation...when a Chinese restaurant doesn't have Asian customers, that's usually a red flag. No matter what time I've visited in the past, the meat for many of the chicken dishes came from bad parts (gristles, etc.), is old, and covered with heavy sauce to mask the problems. I've also noticed that the cashiers will cheat you if they suspect you're not paying attention. I was upset that I was charged for a tip the last time I was there. Especially since I had take out and on the copy I signed for, I made sure that I didn't offer one. I saw the problem once I got home. Although I wasn't happy, I figured I'd give the restaurant one last time a few months later. The results? The food was even worst and a different cashier charged me with dinner prices even though it was early lunch time. After being cheated twice, I'm guessing this isn't an accident and I don't have the patients to argue over a few dollars. I highly suggest you avoid this place.

I was craving Asian buffet for a long while, and they cravings were definitely satisfied at China Buffet. It was super busy, and a little chaotic, hinting at this place's popularity among the locals. We had a lot from salad, to fried chicken, wanton, fish, sushi, and more. Most, if not all, of the foods were at the right temperature (warm or cold). The savoury dishes were great, but the deserts were surprisingly pretty good too. We really enjoyed the whole meal.

Come hungry, China buffet does not joke around when it comes to buffets. The variety of dishes was impressive, with a mix of classic favorites like sesame Chicken, Mongolian Beef, chicken and broccoli, alongside seafood options like flounder, clams and crawfish just to name a few. The dessert selections were mediocre. The flavors were typical of buffets like this, as not everything was a winner and some dishes were not seasoned well and some dishes were only luke warm. The staff replenished the food quickly when they were running low. One of the highlights was the made-to-order stir-fry and soup noodle station, where you can customize your own dish with a wide range of vegetables and proteins. There was also a limited sushi selection which was surprisingly good for a buffet. The service was great and they cleared used plates quickly, and drinks were refilled without needing to ask. Now for the price you pay either for lunch or dinner, the value is unbeatable.

The restaurant is very clean, and the servers are extremely attentive. For me, the options were not as fresh or tasty as I would expect, and as I've experienced that other Asian buffets in the area. The sushi options, even considering the fact that it is a Chinese buffet rather than a Japanese buffet, were still extremely limited. Every single option was imitation crab, with no options for fresh real seafood. The General Tso's chicken was just OK as were the egg rolls - just tough overcooked or over fried pieces. I wasn't terribly impressed with the chicken wings, but they weren't bad. Overall, I felt that it was a bit overpriced for what I got.

I love going here if I'm craving for seafood and real crabs. I also love their sesame balls and ice cream. Wide selection of food items. You'll get your money's worth if you know what to splurge on eating in a buffet restaurant. Aside from the usual Chinese food, they have sushi, hibachi, fruit and salad bar, soup, etc. Service is good. Staff by the sushi bar are super friendly. Plenty of tables and can accommodate a big group. You can also order takeout food which you pay by the pound. Come hungry!

I came here recently with my wife to get lunch and upon entering greeted by a friendly and professional staff member immediately brought us to our table. The entire restaurant was very clean tables and chairs. The food was all fresh and a great variety of items available. Hot food, cold salad bar and dessert. My favorites were the sesame, chicken, Korean chicken, yellow vegetable fried rice . Everything tasted great and was not bland. They also have a variety of sushi which was obviously made fresh and tasted very good. The guy making the sushi was very friendly upon entering that area and asked if we had any questions about anything. Exiting the restaurant we had a thank you from the hostess on our way out. China buffet is a hidden gem tucked away on big tree way. I would highly recommend!

We were staying at the nearby Fairfield Inn when we noticed all the cars at China Buffet and decided to try it out. The intricately carved cork artwork in China Buffet could easily be overlooked if you were really hungry and focused on the food. I liked that there was a nice mix of people and noticeably 3-4 tables of Asian customers. The food was a nice mix of Chinese-American options, Sushi, and Mongolian BBQ style grill. I was pleasantly surprised by some very Chinese dishes that I didn't expect to see at a Chinese buffet. I liked that there was a buffet attendant that monitored the food that was out. My hubby was impressed by the big white rice cooker that he had to take a picture of it.

My husband and I have a quarterly date night at this place- he LOVES the squid salad. I am not one for seafood, but I enjoy the hibachi bar. It's a great way to balance out the Chinese food! I don't know about you, but Chinese food can feel a little heavy. The hibachi bar is a great way to add some fresh veggies to the meal and balance it out. But of course, I had to finish dinner with a small plate of desert. The service is quick and the prices are reasonable for having a buffet, sushi bar, and hibachi bar. I only wish the buffet was a little bigger.

I had been craving multiple types of Chinese food, so I decided to pick up a friend and go to a chinese buffet. I felt overwhelmed by the number of people once we walked in and should have left right then. We stayed, though, and were seated quickly. It is lovely decor, but that was all the ambiance I could enjoy. Trying to get food felt like it was an Olympic sport, dodging kids and trying to get the good seafood before it was gone. It was an impossible task. People piled multiple plates at once with crab legs, leaving the rest of us with sad, salty, little leftover pieces. Everything was dirty and in disarray. I felt bad for the staff. It felt like they had given up trying to keep things clean or replace food, dishes, and silverware, and i don't blame them. Most of the food looked steaming hot, but by the time you doged and weaved your way back to the table, it was ice cold and soggy. The only good things were the hibachi rice and the butter shrimp. However, I will say I did not make a plate of raw food to be cooked like some others did, and I should have because everything else was just disappointing. This is why I have left three stars instead of one. Because they do have a fresh food option, but I felt too overwhelmed to make it and wait for my food to be cooked in the midst of the hustle and bustle. I just wanted to get out of there. I have not been to a buffet in at least 3 years, and now I remember why. I won't be back. I'd rather have more limited food options and pay a bit more for some peace and quiet and fresh food.

About to grab some Chinese food with my lovely better half!

I'll preface this review by saying I've not been to a Chinese buffet since 2018, and all I could remember was "meh food but it was all you could eat." Also, I'm reviewing this place as what it is, which is not P.F. Chang's or an eatery in Macao, Honk Kong, or Guangzhou. The Bad: The booth tables are weirdly tall. Not unusable or even uncomfortable to use, but as soon as I sat down, I knew my seat was short or the table was tall. It might have just been where I was sitting, but take that for what it's worth. The Good: The selection! Lawdy lawdy, it's huge! I posted some photos. I tried to post some videos but can't. There's the same fare you'd expect, such as orange chicken and fried rice, and of course the dessert and salad tables. But there are also other selections such as steamed flounder, which was so delicious. Nothing I had was bad, actually, and I quite enjoyed the food I had. Sushi. To be fair, it's as good as any typical Japanese restaurant you might go to. Plus, they will whip you up something special if you ask. Nice! Hibachi. There are 4 meat selections (beef, pork, shrimp, and faux crab) plus noodles, peppers, and such. There are also several sauce options posted on the glass where they cook your food. Just let them know what you want. Service. Not more than 5 minutes went by at any time before the server was back around, making sure we were good. We were there at around 1:30, and the place was empty, so that was nice.

Another average pan-Asian buffet. The sushi variety can be a big draw, yet sometimes it is limited and not very fresh.

The building is older and you can tell not much has been done as far as renovations in a while, but everything was clean and comfortable. There isn't a front door facing the street but you enter on the side. On the front page of the menu there were some Specials, that seem to be an every night thing. I was excited to see that their dinner entrees came with the usual soup, salad, veggies, and rice but also noodles. Who could be mad about noodles? I went for the Hibachi Chicken and Shrimp for $28. We went near closing time so got a whole table to ourselves. Our waitress was very attentive and quickly brought our drinks and appetizers. I selected the ginger dressing for my salad. One of my favorite things about these places are all the sauces. I happily replied yes to all of the options. I like to mix the hot sauce in the white. Cuts the sweetness a little bit. I also don't know what they do special to make hot mustard but it's better than any I have bought in a grocery store. And I have tried! Despite a small audience, our chef was lively and gave us a good show. Strong kudos on his onion volcano! Quite a big flame. He noticed my husband's Washington Commanders hoodie and they had a nice conversation about football. He was very personable. The entree portions were huge and very flavorful. We each got a big helping of fried rice and noddles to start. Next was the vegetables (onions, zucchini, carrots) and my shrimp that also came with broccoli. Finally the chicken. Everything was delicious and I had plenty of leftovers to enjoy for future meals. I think we may have found our new teppanyaki place!

No. Seriously. 5 adults and 2 high chairs. I was hoping to slip in with a group and have fun. This seating is depressing. Oh let me not forget I waited 10 minutes at least to be seated. That wasn't so bad as I figured u had to wait on an odd numbered party to show up. I shoulda just waited into 4pm when the spot I really wanted to visit opened up. Our drinks & app service was decent. Never got our severs names but my Coke Zero was refilled without asking. Listening to the family at the table beside us chat and eat has been enjoyable while we sit here looking crazy. I've been here many times throughout the years. This has been the shortest wait to be seated. The longest wait to eat. And the most fumbled I've seen. Like who turns the table off? Loads of people in here. Plenty of people in the lobby waiting. But almost an hour between my arrival and the chef isn't even cooking? Nah. I'm good on Kabuto. Update! My medium ribeye was over cooked. I had medium. The people beside me ordered medium well. We are not together. This is why I don't order the filet because more often than not the steak gets overcooked. I typically order medium because I know the carry over will make it medium well. If you have a large group 6-10 then yes. Give this a whirl at least once. Solo dining night? Meh. Totally kid friendly too. I wanted to give this 4 stars but overcooked steak and the extra long wait took the fun out of it for me.

Kabuto is a pretty run of the mill hibachi steakhouse. The food is as good as the next place, and I…read morereally don't have too much to say about that. The rice will be fried, the meats will be cooked, and in the end, I will smother everything in enough of a mayonnaise-based white sauce that the finer variations from one hibachi place to the next don't really matter. What I do care about is the service and the entertainment. If someone is cooking in front of me, I expect them to be on their a-game. And, on my recent visit for dinner, our chef absolutely was. Though it was around 4:30 pm, so pretty early for dinner (and with smaller, quieter crowds), our chef pulled out all the tricks and was funny and engaging. Sometimes you get the sense that a chef hates his job and is just going through the motions, making you feel guilty for wanting to see an onion volcano -- that was not the case here. He was a total pro. Our waiter was also great, and struck the perfect balance between attentiveness and giving me space to enjoy my food and conversation. My drink stayed full and I never had to wait for something I needed, but I also didn't have to pause my conversation to speak to the waiter every 30 seconds, between mouthfuls of food. Like the chef, he was a total pro. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 only because my dessert bananas at the end were cold and not even caramelized, which was super disappointing. I think the chef was in a rush to get out of there, because our table took longer than the average for him to cook the food... a couple people we were seated with kept throwing food back on the grill (ew) and asking him to cook it longer. And I mean every single food they got, not just a steak. So, his timing might have been off in terms of getting to his next table, and ultimately it came at the price of cooking the final item correctly or really at all.
