This place was popular 20 years ago with sushi rolls so I paid a visit. The beef dishes were awesome and tender but the chicken were overcooked. I had a crawfish for the first time and it's the last red cockroach I will eat. They had a great assortment of fruit but no salad. Lots of salad dressing so maybe someone forgot to lay it out. The food was OK. Pretty standard fare. I knew I was in for a "treat" however when the hostess went to seat me at the table. Using her foot, she swept out the remnants of some other diner's meal with her foot. This included the, less than appetizing, crayfish shells and other nameless morsels. Awful! I don't even know why we bothered to come here in the first place. We were next door looking at some glasses and thought why not stop in try a bite to eat it may not be horrible after all. We walk in and it's disgusting! The doors are all finger printed no one has bothered to clean those doors in maybe 3 weeks. They print everywhere how they have cameras to watch you eat- hmmm, uncomfortable. We literally had one plate and left. The sodas tasted awful! I bet if the South Carolina health department entered this location they'd shut it down immediately!!!! This place is awful. When we walked in we were greeted with an uneasy vibe. I requested to change seats when they rushed us to a corner and I was giving a side eye from 2 servers. The food was stone cold on my end (whole fried shrimp, white noodles and small steamed shrimp) the shrimp had a strange taste to it, like it was undercooked and old!!My granny's chicken and rice was fine so I'm glad she enjoyed it. My daughter and I stopped there for lunch. It was very busy, due to it being Mother's Day. The food was horrible. My daughter tried their mac & cheese, and it was soured. The meat in the pepper steak was almost raw (extremely pink/red inside). The chicken was undercooked in the chicken & broccoli. Their fried rice was disgusting. I've never seen fried rice that was slimy. My daughter ended up eating fruits and veggies from their buffet. The only items that were half way decent were the egg rolls and sweet & sour chicken, and those left a horrific taste in your mouth. The first time we ate here In 2015 I remember I hated it. But since we lives close by at the time my husband always wanted to go. He said they are not the best but still good. I have gone many times and have been very selective on what I eat because I really am not crazy about their food. Two of my favorite chinese foods are the eggs rolls and the coconut things at the buffet. The egg roll must have been one of their nasty deceptive House roll mistakenly placed in the regular roll bin. It was not cabbage inside, it was stuffing! Yuk! That was an easy fix. Just grabbed another. As for the coconut.. Well I didn't know coconut could taste so bad. I bit into one and started gagging. It tasted like vomit. I thought I was going to puke and ran to the bathroom. The heaves subsided however. My son was puzzled and tasted it himself to see why I reacted so strongly to one of my favorite desserts. He spit it out in a napkin and said while he didn't taste vomit something was clearly off (He is an adult btw). The waitress comes over and asks if everything is okay. I told her those coconut puffs were horrible. That something was wrong with them. She takes my plate and comes back with another plate with a new coconut puff and asks me here try.. uh.. no thank you. They also changed the chicken wings somehow. It is fair to say I have eaten here over ten times and I have never walked away with a "wow that was really good" feeling. It is always "eh, that was okay. Typical Chinese style food found on every Street in town. Nothing special. I found a bug crawling across and got the waitress attention. She grabbed a napkin and picked it up. Then just walked away. Several minutes later, she came by and said what sounded like 'manager coming'. Another wait and a slightly older lady came to the table. It was extremely difficult to understand what she said, but I think it was something like 'so sorry. Discount for you'. The raw meat in the cooler for the hibachi station was all completely covered in an unnamed yellowish white creamy film and looked like it hadn't been properly stored or been sitting out all day. All the food was too salty, not salty enough or just plain unappetizing. The only saving grace was the fresh fruit but I even fear that even the fruit may not be stored the most hygienically I have been going to this location for more than 10 years with my mother and I remember it used to be much better. This place is good during busy lunch and dinner hours. The only real complaints I have is (like most buffets) if you come in during a non busy time the food is cold and stale and there's not a discount for this... lol. So try to come in during a busy time. Also when I went the bathroom, It was one of the dirtiest I've ever seen. The sushi selection went around an entire preparation area and had its own room. I was shocked how much they had to offer from tuna to eel to tofu and beyond. Last night we celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday at this place. As soon as my mother-in-law walked in she was told that the last time she was there that she didn't pay for her food. This is the first time that she was ever there. Not only did she have to pay for the room that we were in, but they also took her ID and said if anyone does not pay you will have to pay for them. As we all started to arrive, they began questioning the children about their age and when the child answered they told them that that was not their age. I got fed up and simply stated do not speak to another child in this room. Only speak to the adults or no one at all. Drinks took forever to come and refills never happened. All during dinner we were watched and followed anytime we walked out of the room. At one point we had to guys standing in the door way with there armed folded watching us like they were security. The came to pay so that we could leave and it was a mess. None of the checks were correct and they had the nerve to argue about the number of people in their party and the ages of their children. The food was pretty gross and the service was worst. Don't waste you time or money unless you like being treated like a criminal!!!! We will never go back to this place again. read more

The only thing that was bad about it, was that I can't eat meat on Fridays (thanks to Lent), and there was a lot of "meaty" options.
