Been awhile since we had been and the sushi was fresh and very good. They have added crab legs on the buffet now. Not bad at all sorta pricey for what it is.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Food was HORRIBLE, crab legs tasted like they were spoiled. There was a dead roach on the napkin dispenser, to top it off roaches started coming from no where right behind my daughter where they had an open drink container. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK, do not recommend! There are better Chinese buffets elsewhere!

It's really been six years since I was here last and I would say that not much has changed. The Chinese food options are still the usual chicken in sauce or fried bits of meat in batter, there are a few choice that are perhaps a little less loaded in fat. I did get a couple of dumplings (grilled, not steamed) and a small pile of wontons. The sushi display is fresh looking and in good condition. Tidy and with no loose bits scattered about as one might see in a lesser establishment. Some that aren't covered in sauce or fried, which was nice. Service was good with empty dishes cleared and water refilled. [Review 9949 overall, 1529 of 2018.]

So it's been 4 years since I came here last due to rude and snobby waitstaff. The food was good but the customer service was left wanting. Four years later I am relieved to say it's improved. The restaurant is busy so when we arrived after 7 pm it looked 'beat up' a bit. The floors were in desperate need of sweeping and the buffet was not as full of food as I had hoped. We managed to pick small amounts of what felt like were left overs. The soup wasn't hot enough for me . The temperature was only semi warm. Definitely not hot. The made to order sushi was the winner. It was delicious. Would I come back maybe in 3 years ....

Shrimp Mei fun, bbq short rib, and lots more

I liked my visit here this past weekend;however, I used to love it. It has changed. There's a large variety of items. However, the sushi bar used to be much better. Now a Hispanic guy is making sushi and the results are what you think it would be. They no longer have shrimp nigiri and that was my favorite item. The rest of the buffet is decent. The fried flounder is very crispy. They have white rice in a rice maker, but it's almost hidden at the end of the buffet in a corner near the kitchen. Their short ribs were very good and had plenty of meat. My favorite is their mei fun. I added shrimp to it from other entree selections available. They had chicken and broccoli, mushrooms, the little balls of dough that remind me of a doughnut, clams, buffalo wings, fried chicken wings, soups, salad bar, a few desserts... including an ice cream machine. Their crab rangoon is terrible and so is their fake crab meat, so skip those. The service is kind of strange. All the waitresses wait on all the tables. They ALL gather in the center of the restaurant to talk then break to get things for the customers. There's a goldfish pond at the front of the restaurant and I love it. There's plenty of comfortable booths to sit at. Price for buffet is $20 per person, plus beverage cost, plus tax and tip.

The food is always consistent, and that's what keeps me coming back here. I visited during lunch, and they only had two servers working, so service was a little slower than usual. To start, I ordered the spring roll, then had the Wan Fu Scallops and the Singapore Rice Noodles. The spring roll was crispy and hit the spot. The Singapore noodles were packed with flavor and had a nice spicy kick. If you're not big on spice, I'm sure they can tone it down if you ask. The Wan Fu Scallops were tender and just as delicious. I've been here several times, and the quality never disappoints. Consistency is hard to find, but Wan Fu gets it right every time. As far as atmosphere, it's super casual, no cocktails, not much in the way of ambiance. Think of it as primarily for takeout, with table service. No matter! You come here for the huge portions of Chinese comfort food. Service is excellent and friendly. I could've spent a half hour with that menu, as I wanted to make sure I ordered the right things. This is the perfect place to share, as with many Chinese food that's done right and well, you order protein dishes apart from vegetable dishes. So we had Beijing veg duck, dry pot, eggplant with basil (they were out of the string beans that I really wanted to try) and shumai to start. All of it was delicious. I knew the eggplant was a bit of a risk, as so many places will serve you rubbery, bitter horrors. Not the case here! It's sweet with melt-in-your-mouth texture and I appreciated that it had other veggies mixed in with the generous portion of eggplant. The protein dishes are full of taste and texture-- no need to add seasoning to the dry pot (perhaps a little more spice but they have red pepper flakes on the table). I'd expected more of a bean curd skin/yuba for the duck, but instead it's seitan (I believe) and chewy in a good way. The shumai was tasty but too starchy and full of rice when I expected protein. Not sure I'd order that again with so many other tempting apps, including other dumplings, on the menu. If this were in my neighborhood, I'd be over the moon, because I'd finally have a viable option for good Chinese takeout. As a vegan, normally I'm regulated to the same old Buddhist's Delight. Ma Ma is such a treasure.

It is busy enough that plenty of other people had also called in for takeout. The price was higher than I thought it would be by a significant margin; I thought something was off but then rechecking their menu I saw it was indeed $20 for a vegetable entree. On the upside, they did offer brown rice at no extra charge. Still, I'll get three meals out of it and as someone who eats a lot of takeout, this was not a great value. In terms of quality, I was thrilled to find that they offered a stir-fried okra dish. This is a ubiquitous Indian dish, and of course okra is common throughout the tropics globally, but I'd never seen this offered at a Chinese restaurant before. And the rapid cooking technique typical of the cuisine produced a delightfully crisp vegetable, which went great with a black bean sauce and some very hot dried chilis. On the other hand, their interpretation of ma po tofu had some fermented broad beans but minimal vegetables (sometimes you get mushrooms or peas or at least some leeks or something) and no numbing sensation. They had a bean curd roll dish that I enjoyed, and some quality dumplings. Overall, not huge portions and a mix of okay to great quality.

Thick and super stuffed. Forget that. It doesn't exist here. The mini egg roll was dry and you couldn't even tell what was in it. The pork lo mein, while also generally bland in the noodle and sauce department, had generous helpings of roast char siu pork that were decently flavorful. This was the only saving grace of the meal. ==The Bad== The wonton soup was lacking a bit in salt, which i understand may be a personal taste preference, but there also wasn't any particularly strong flavor from the wontons so the whole dish just felt dissatisfying. The sauce in the Mongolian beef wasn't very savory so it, too, came off a bit bland. To their credit, the cuts of beef were actually quite good and the vegetables were decent, but without a solid tasting sauce the whole thing falls a part. ==The Ugly== The teriyaki chicken skewers were just chicken with teriyaki sauce poured over them. It seems almost heretical that they didn't bbq these skewers in the sauce. This was the most disappointing part of the meal. Overall, pretty on par for restaurants that have long lost their passion for this game. If you've never had Chinese in Boston, LA or New York, you'll probably like this place.
