The Singapore noodles were packed with flavor and had a nice spicy kick. If you're not big on spice, I'm sure they can tone it down if you ask. The Wan Fu Scallops were tender and just as delicious. I've been here several times, and the quality never disappoints. Consistency is hard to find, but Wan Fu gets it right every time. If you're looking for Chinese food in Charlotte that's worth coming back for, this is the spot.

In terms of quality, I was thrilled to find that they offered a stir-fried okra dish. This is a ubiquitous Indian dish, and of course okra is common throughout the tropics globally, but I'd never seen this offered at a Chinese restaurant before. And the rapid cooking technique typical of the cuisine produced a delightfully crisp vegetable, which went great with a black bean sauce and some very hot dried chilis. On the other hand, their interpretation of ma po tofu had some fermented broad beans but minimal vegetables (sometimes you get mushrooms or peas or at least some leeks or something) and no numbing sensation. They had a bean curd roll dish that I enjoyed, and some quality dumplings. Overall, not huge portions and a mix of okay to great quality.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, and I come here a lot. I think they care about their customers' reviews because they have added a liner to the fried dishes that come in the styrofoam containers. Also, you can request no MSG on most dishes,because I requested that before. I like how they can alter the spices and sauce amount to your personal preferences. read more
