Nice restaurant with plenty of seating. Food was hot and fresh. I had the sweet and sour soup with Shrimp fried rice and chicken wings.

We decided to order take out from this restaurant. We wanted something quick and easy. It was very easy to order. We ordered General Tso Chicken with white rice with Crab Rangoons. The General Tso Chicken had good flavor and there was lots of chicken. I believe it comes with a pint a white rice. The low star review was solely for the Crab Rangoons. They were literally empty. There was no filling inside any of them and it was a huge waste of money. I wouldn't order them again sadly.

Shrimp fried rice with chicken wings, always good and excellent service

Fast and friendly service, fried rice and chicken wings are really good. My go to Chinese when I'm in Pineville.

Crab Ragoons. Not my favorite but there ok.

Always friendly and quick! I lived in South Charlotte almost 20 years and they are definitely my go-to take out. Food is great and fresh. They also sell shrimp sauce which is a plus!

We were so glad that this place was open for take out despite COVID-19! They have a wide variety of options at great affordable prices. We had Shrimp with Lobster Sauce dinner combo ($8.75) and General Tso's Chicken dinner combo ($8.25). The dinner combos all come with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The egg roll was large but a bit soggy and lacking in flavor. They were very generous with their portion sizes. General Tso's Chicken was not spicy at all, which I was actually glad for. Their Steamed Dumplings (8 pieces for $4.95) were delicious. You can request that the dumplings are either fried or steamed. We weren't sure when our food was ready for pick up because our name was never taken and therefore never called out, nor were we given a number to be called when our food was ready. They just left the food in a bag on the counter and walked away, as if we were somehow supposed to know it was ours. Other than that, we were pleased with our experience.

This is what came out of the plastic bag my order was in!

The paper bag with my order was in a plastic bag, so I did not notice the greasy mess until I took it out of the bag. The food was otherwise just okay.

Shrimp in garlic sauce lunch special.

Delicious! Crisp veggies, great sauce. It was quick and we were surprised because we just happened upon them on a trip to run errands. We tried the vegetable lo mein and the shrimp in garlic sauce lunch special. No complaints other than - make sure u get napkins, soy sauce, etc.

The food is always consistent, and that's what keeps me coming back here. I visited during lunch, and they only had two servers working, so service was a little slower than usual. To start, I ordered the spring roll, then had the Wan Fu Scallops and the Singapore Rice Noodles. The spring roll was crispy and hit the spot. The Singapore noodles were packed with flavor and had a nice spicy kick. If you're not big on spice, I'm sure they can tone it down if you ask. The Wan Fu Scallops were tender and just as delicious. I've been here several times, and the quality never disappoints. Consistency is hard to find, but Wan Fu gets it right every time. If you're looking for Chinese food in Charlotte that's worth coming back for, this is the spot.

The soup was bland and lacked flavor. But the worst part was the portions. The portions are small. The beef came in one of those round black containers and it was less than half full. The soup was $5 and in a small container and even that was not even full! Like broth costs nothing but yet it was about 3/4 full. Very disappointed. Paid $27 for Chinese takeout and had to find a snack within 30 mins. Most likely will not return.

As far as atmosphere, it's super casual, no cocktails, not much in the way of ambiance. Think of it as primarily for takeout, with table service. No matter! You come here for the huge portions of Chinese comfort food. Service is excellent and friendly. I could've spent a half hour with that menu, as I wanted to make sure I ordered the right things. This is the perfect place to share, as with many Chinese food that's done right and well, you order protein dishes apart from vegetable dishes. So we had Beijing veg duck, dry pot, eggplant with basil (they were out of the string beans that I really wanted to try) and shumai to start. All of it was delicious. I knew the eggplant was a bit of a risk, as so many places will serve you rubbery, bitter horrors. Not the case here! It's sweet with melt-in-your-mouth texture and I appreciated that it had other veggies mixed in with the generous portion of eggplant. The protein dishes are full of taste and texture-- no need to add seasoning to the dry pot (perhaps a little more spice but they have red pepper flakes on the table). I'd expected more of a bean curd skin/yuba for the duck, but instead it's seitan (I believe) and chewy in a good way. The shumai was tasty but too starchy and full of rice when I expected protein. Not sure I'd order that again with so many other tempting apps, including other dumplings, on the menu. If this were in my neighborhood, I'd be over the moon, because I'd finally have a viable option for good Chinese takeout. As a vegan, normally I'm regulated to the same old Buddhist's Delight. Ma Ma is such a treasure.

It is busy enough that plenty of other people had also called in for takeout. The price was higher than I thought it would be by a significant margin; I thought something was off but then rechecking their menu I saw it was indeed $20 for a vegetable entree. On the upside, they did offer brown rice at no extra charge. Still, I'll get three meals out of it and as someone who eats a lot of takeout, this was not a great value. In terms of quality, I was thrilled to find that they offered a stir-fried okra dish. This is a ubiquitous Indian dish, and of course okra is common throughout the tropics globally, but I'd never seen this offered at a Chinese restaurant before. And the rapid cooking technique typical of the cuisine produced a delightfully crisp vegetable, which went great with a black bean sauce and some very hot dried chilis. On the other hand, their interpretation of ma po tofu had some fermented broad beans but minimal vegetables (sometimes you get mushrooms or peas or at least some leeks or something) and no numbing sensation. They had a bean curd roll dish that I enjoyed, and some quality dumplings. Overall, not huge portions and a mix of okay to great quality.

I ordered the sesame chicken dinner, wonton soup and an egg roll. The egg roll was soooooo small...super lint and little. I co my s from a place where one egg roll can be shared by two people. Thick and super stuffed. Forget that. It doesn't exist here. The mini egg roll was dry and you couldn't even tell what was in it. The wonton soup broth had a great flavor but the wontons were not fresh. They were gummy in a creepy kinda way. Frozen with freezer burn was my best guess. The sesame chicken was super super super OVERFRIED. Dry as a bone inside. This had clearly been pre fried and then fried again and dipped in a sticky sauce with weird texture. Kind of tasted like sesame chicken but the texture of the sauce and the dry chicken were disgusting. I spit it out. This place is a nicer version of Panda Express. The pork lo mein, while also generally bland in the noodle and sauce department, had generous helpings of roast char siu pork that were decently flavorful. This was the only saving grace of the meal. ==The Bad== The wonton soup was lacking a bit in salt, which i understand may be a personal taste preference, but there also wasn't any particularly strong flavor from the wontons so the whole dish just felt dissatisfying. The sauce in the Mongolian beef wasn't very savory so it, too, came off a bit bland. To their credit, the cuts of beef were actually quite good and the vegetables were decent, but without a solid tasting sauce the whole thing falls a part. ==The Ugly== The teriyaki chicken skewers were just chicken with teriyaki sauce poured over them. It seems almost heretical that they didn't bbq these skewers in the sauce. This was the most disappointing part of the meal. Overall, pretty on par for restaurants that have long lost their passion for this game. If you've never had Chinese in Boston, LA or New York, you'll probably like this place. More well-traveled patrons should look elsewhere.
