Have had my last meal here. I have been a customer but it is always subpar and I bare it, but after tonight's meal I believe it is best to stay away. My shrimp fried rice and chicken lo' mein tasted like smoke and it was extremely dry, not to mention the funny after taste that I got immediately. I continue to request no white onions and they continue to put white onions on my food. I'm a regular customer at China Dragon, and I don't intend on eating anywhere else when it comes to chinese food. I have never been to their store and I always opt for delivery. There is a delivery charge but after a long day it's a great deal. We have tried the sesame chicken, orange chicken, lemon fried chicken, wontons, wonton soup, egg drop soup, egg rolls, spring rolls, and fried donuts. Every order we have ever placed has come hot and ready to eat. There have been two orders where we accidently clicked something wrong and they called us and corrected it. They know their regular customers and go the extra mile. The food is a little slow to arrive but now that we know that we plan ahead to meet our needs. That's the only trouble we have ever had with China Dragon. The food is fantastic you can get two meals out of it depending on what you order and it keeps well. The first time we ordered I placed the order online as a delivery but decided it would be faster to pick it up. I called and was able to change to pick up without issues. The food was ready on time and was so good. We ordered the crab rangoons, wontons, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken and the cashew chicken. The second time we ordered I placed the order online again and this time I requested to substitute lo-mein noodles for the rice. I got a call as soon as the order was placed to let me know the noodles would be more than the rice. Sometimes you just want good take-out, but this place just didn't do that for me. This was the first and last time I will try this place. I ordered the sesame chicken and the flavor was just so bland and tasteless. The sauce was watery and the chicken was just mediocre. I was looking forward to trying this place since I'm new to the area and the place had some decent reviews. Since the new ownership, the food is a bit better. Too Americanized. No fresh garlic, or fresh ginger in any dish...have asked. It's good in a pinch, but not my go to place. Their take out/delivery business is what drives this restaurant. Make sure to check your order...no onions, no scallions, yet there was a plethora of both in our entrees. Food gets cold spending my time picking out what was ordered MINUS those two items. The mu shu chicken is good. The wonton soup can be either bland, or very salty. If you enjoy the average, run of the mill Chinese restaurant, then this restaurant will satisfy you. My taste buds need more of an adventure, and for that, I recommend Tasty China....less than 10 mins. away, and worth the short drive on the S. Marietta Pkwy, @ the corner of Franklin Rd. I wish I could provide a negative number (-5). I placed an order through EAT24 for simple convenience. I was given a quote online of 45 -60 minutes. I looked at the order status and they provided a 60 ETA. Basically I called them after 1 hour and 15 minutes. They said the order was on the way. I made another call at 1 hour 30 minutes they told me the driver would be there in twenty minutes. After a two hour wait I was told the driver is still coming. Keep in mind they never apologized for my inconvenience. They just kept placating me with empty words. I told them to cancel my order and give me a refund. Still no words of apologies. EAT24 promptly responded. Would I use EAT24 again? Probably. Will I ever try China Dragon again? Absolutely NOT. read more

Ordered spring roll, won ton soup and Phoenix and dragon. Bland tasteless except for the tin taste of the bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. I left 90% as I found it to be inedible. We went there for take out and were very delighted with the quality and freshness of the food. Hot and sour soup was wonderful which included the usual tofu pieces along with some fresh mushrooms, delightful! Sesame chicken was top notch. The chicken was so tender and fresh. Also had chicken and broccoli, was good quality, As was the green pepper beef item we ordered. We did not eat in, but while it is a small place, the seating looked much more comfortable than most take-out places. Booths and tables. The restaurant was clean, and the service was friendly. Neither here nor there. I liked the fried rice. It was not too eggy like other take out places. I also liked that the lemon chicken had actual chicken breast chunks and not just dark meat. Other than that the food was a little bland including the spring rolls. The hot and sour soup had a lot of pepper in it and was just completely off. Ordered for delivery, the woman who took my order was rather snippy. I got the moo goo gai pan dinner special and the food didn't taste like anything! The chicken was rubbery and the vegetables were bland. The fried rice was more like dried rice, it was hard and chewy. The egg roll was just boiled cabbage in a soggy wrapper and the hot and sour soup was watery. Even my fortune cookie was stale! At least the can of Coke tasted good... Best in Marietta the Szechuan beef transcends the heavens, this is probably the best Szechuan Beef I've ever tasted in my life. It's a small place but the service and food are stellar... also try the House Fried Rice, and Won Ton Soup... I love it! read more

I have ordered here about 5 times and they have gone from great to just ok. Very disappointed because they had great chicken wings and fried rice. The shrimp does not taste like shrimp but a very strange texture of pink food. I am not sure if I want to try them one more time. read more

This is the best Chinese in the area the beef n broccoli is the best the beef just melts in your mouth I eat here about 2-3 times a week

Ordered takeout for the first time. Pickup was fast, staff was courteous... Sichuan beef was not bad at all and I'd definately order it again. Hot and sour soup didn't have enough bite for my tastes. Inside was rather average...slightly below average I'd say. Kinda what you expect for Chinese in a strip mall. I will go back and explore some other menu choices to see if anything wows me. I haven't been motivated to write a review in a very long time, but my experience with China Dragon was enough to get me to break my dry spell. We ordered delivery through GrubHub. The food arrived about an hour after ordering, but without rice for the entrees. We called in to ask why there was no rice with the entrees, and were told that we "didn't ask for rice". This was our second time ordering from China Dragon. The first time, all entrees came with rice. At every other Chinese restaurant I've ever ordered delivery from, the entrees came with rice. I'm not sure what changed. We objected, and they backtracked and said they'd send out the missing rice "immediately"... An HOUR and 15 minutes after hanging up, I called back to ask about the status of the rice. I was told that the driver just left and would be arriving shortly. About 20 minutes later, we got the rice. Of course the food is cold my now and needs to be reheated. It was stomach-turning. I've had better quality from a mall Panda Express. Even if eaten hot, the quality was absolutely bottom-tier. Bad food. Terrible service. Avoid. read more

Wonderful soups (hot and sour my favorite), enters are nice. Best fried chicken wings around. Kung Pao is good, so is egg Foo yung.

My hubby and I enjoyed the food here!! It was our first time sitting and eating Chinese food that wasn't a buffet. The ppl are nice and the environment is so welcoming. The crab regoons were so GOOD! I'm from MS and I'm use to cheese wontons that are awesome, well these lives up to what I was use to. The general tso chicken is great!! Oh yea...the wonton soup is crazy good!! Try them out! The food is actually good. It's fresh and well prepared. The fried rice is bland though. The dinner was exactly like the lunch, only $2-3 more. The workers/family? were working and eating in the restaurant. An older woman/worker was sitting in the next booth eating and watching a video on her phone--it was blaring! No respect for the patrons. I was there for 30 minutes of this nonsense. The booths and chairs are past their time. The waitress never asked if everything was okay. Three high school boys... boys... were very immature. Boys in the hood giggling, cursing, on the phone, etc. Even throwing things at each other. I'm not sure I'll be back. Took forever for my check! I was very disappointed with this place. I placed the order and received a general time frame for delivery. That time frame came and went with no updates or calls. I called and asked where my delivery was - I was asked to hold and eventually the call was hung up so I called back - this time I was told the delivery driver was there and they were busy...it took them almost 2 hours to deliver our food and when it got to us, it was cold. I was told my order would be refunded (which was a lie) and a manager would call me (another lie). I am still waiting for a call, I doubt it will happen.
