Don't let the outside fool you but, Warning wear loose clothes! You're going to get lots of food. The good thing is everything we ordered was delicious. Unfortunately we all ordered a plate not knowing how large the servings were. We could've have had 1 appetizer & 1 entree & it would've fed all 3 of us. The service was great & the people were kind. Stopped here for a quick lunch on our way east and damn, this was a great spot! Super nostalgic flavors, and excellent and friendly service! The egg rolls are delicious and the kung pao chicken had a delightful chili oil with lots of flavor and crunch. The owners are delightful people and made our lunch break amazing. We were looking for good lunch in Winslow, We had been in Winslow before during the height of Covid back in 2020. We reviewed most of the restaurants and decided to try Chinese. I have to tell you that we were pleasantly surprise with the service and especially the quality of the food. I would give this 5 Stars because they all were very attentive, food was delicious and fresh, and came out at the same time like Chinese food should. This is a family owned restaurant. The husband is the chef and the wife is in the front and taking orders along with their teenage son. My husband and I ordered mongolian beef, their lunch special. First, we were served with the egg drop soup, hot and delicious. Then our plate were served, big portion. They were also delicious. I would come back again when I am in the area. read more

We were turned away for showing up 45 minutes before they closed. The girl working there greets us with a, "Do you have a to-go order. I'm only taking to-go orders." She absolutely saved us. We went around the corner to Chang Thai and it was the best Thai I've ever had. Everyone was super friendly and greeted us properly. We were in and out in 40 minutes, tipped 25% and left happy. This was seriously the worst Chinese food ever. Maybe because I'm from the Midwest & have had excellent Chinese, but I was shocked at the brisk business they were doing. The egg drop soup was absolutely inedible--it tasted like dish soap. The crab puff was pretty good, but the rest of our lunch specials were awful. Service I must admit was good, but I wish I was someone who could just send back food, I'm not. There are plenty of good places in Winslow--this isn't one of them. read more

As far as the restaurant goes it needs remodeling pretty bad. Take out orders are 30+ min. We ordered kung pow chicken with a side of fried rice and chicken won ton soup . Got home and wow were we upset ! Kung pow chicken looked way off.. so many fatty pieces and looked like no sauce.. well it tasted that way too. No flavor and just weirdly put together. Fried rice was white rice !? Or they def gave us the wrong rice than what we ordered. Chicken wonton soup had no flavor at all I had to add a bunch of soy sauce and it still wasn't good. The partner-in-dine and I got to the restaurant just before the deluge of hungry travelers and locals alike who shared a hankering for cheap, delicious and filling Chinese food. We started off with a huge bowl of hot and sour soup. It was definitely packing a lot of heat (both temperature and spice-wise). We loved how the soup was aromatic and full of delicious vegetables, tofu and chicken. It was so good that we emptied the massive bowl to the amazement of our server. For our mains, we decided to share the combination fried rice. I then got the Sweet and Sour Pork and my partner-in-dine settled for the General (Tso's) Chicken. The fried rice was a winner with a potpourri of meats, shrimp and veggies in it. The General Chicken was tangy and tender. I couldn't help but steal a few pieces of chicken under the not-so-watchful eye of my partner-in-dine. The Sweet and Sour Pork fell below our expectations. The breading for the pork was too thick and a tad strange. Overall, we had a good and tummy-filling dinner. read more

We came from L.A. where there is so much competition between restaurants, and thus miraculously good food to be found with enough hunting, Yelp app in hand, of course. This is one of very few restaurants around here, and the only Chinese restaurant. This is better Chinese food than I've had in L.A., ever.
