Friendly service with solid food, but the wait time for the food was way too long (50 minutes for two entrees and a side). We stopped by for lunch and ordered the Ramen ($15), Birria Tacos (3 for $15), and Onion Rings ($6). The onion rings were phenomenal - they came out piping hot and were perfectly crispy with an excellent batter:onion ratio. The Ramen was good, but I don't think I would order it again, as I personally found it too heavy/oily/salty. My friend enjoyed his Birria Tacos, though. As I mentioned above, the service was very warm and friendly, but the food took almost 1 hour to come out. The restaurant was maybe 30% full, so not sure what was going on. My husband went with the 3 barria tacos and I ordered the street tacos - one barria, one carne asada and one chicken. The barria was the best hands down! We left Shorty's with a new favorite taco and to hopefully find a recipe that matches theirs. The young ladies who took our order and served us were very friendly. Winslow is my hometown but I had not been back in 4 years and to my surprise, Olde Town Grill are the new kids on the block and my second family took me there for lunch. The renovated style and interior felt a tad out of place for the old, small railroad town compared to the bigger city feel I'm from now. My heart hurts seeing my small town slowly deteriorate so seeing a new business, bringing in new people to the city brought me so much joy. Aside from the modern interior, they had such a diverse menu. They have the expected sections of salads, sandwiches and burgers, but I found one item on their menu unique and that was their green chili steak wrap. This place is located in northern arizona and the region barrows the use of green chili from New Mexico and for sure green chili steak sandwiches with Navajo fry bread is seen at many food stands in the region and they made it into a wrap. It was delicious!! They also had rosemary fries which really elevated the meal. I thought the prices were comparable to Tucson prices for the same style restaurant, but I hope they are maintainable for the small town of Winslow. read more

Our food was totally forgotten about because we were outside with our dog. They brought us drinks. My iced tea tasted like water. I walked in to tell the girl and she said they just refilled the machine and gave me another that truthfully wasn't much better. 45 minutes later with us still waiting hubby went in to find out where food was. It was brought out about 5 minutes later and the girl said don't worry, we will take care of it. My birria tacos were like mush and fell apart as I tried to pick them up because they probably sat for awhile. His grilled cheese sandwich was really hot. He asked if the jalapenos were on the side and was told yes. But they were directly in sandwich. He had to go back in to get the check and we were given a 20% discount. The girl came out and actually asked how the food was after seeing 2 basically uneaten plate. Pass this place and look at other options in town if you want to eat in Winslow. A nice addition to Winslow, a cocktail bar with an eclectic burger to appetizer menu, most people leaving with a box, because portions are huge. The interior is fun with a high ceiling and picture windows out for a street view of tourists heading to stand on the corner less than a block away. Tables are well spaced and has open feel. Went with a party of three on a Friday night. They were pretty packed, so it was understandable that our service wasn't the most attentive. But they were trying their best. Seemed like they may have been short staffed. Two of us got the fish and chips, which wasn't on their menu, but when we asked about it they said it was available. As always, their fish and chips are amazing! Great rosemary fries, delicious fish. However, I wanted to try their chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. I'm not one to complain about food... but I was really disappointed. I've never thought about sending my food back before, but I was tempted. Instead, I just ate it and smiled. But I want to leave this review so that anyone else who loves chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes can order the fish and chips instead. I don't know if they were having difficulties in the kitchen or what, but the chicken fried steak was nothing more than a thin piece of flavorless ground beef, covered in gravy. I wish I was joking. It almost felt like they tried to cover up as much of the "steak" as they could with the gravy, like we wouldn't notice. The mashed potatoes is a small serving and leaves much to be desired too. And the gravy wasn't impressive either. I was just glad that I ordered rosemary fries. That was the one part of the meal that I actually enjoyed. For $15... it was a let down. I've been here multiple times now, as a local, and I love this place. But I will only be ordering the fish and chips from now on. My suggestion for them would be to become a fish and chips place entirely. But until then, that's what I'll know them as. read more

We came for happy hour. 1/2 price drinks and their beer batter apps were also 1/2 price....or were they? The street sign tucked in the corner said yes, the waitress said yes...but why would the manager/owner(?) tell us they don't do happy hour food specials? At any rate it amounted to $4 so we didn't care either way and ordered 2 American Mules (made w Tito's) their special dip with cream cheese, sausage, peppers, tomatoes and onion rings. The dip was really good. Hubby liked the onion rings but I didn't care for their beer batter breading. Little too thick/chewy. Not crispy. Hubby also ordered ribs. Meat was dry and their cherry bbq sauce was weird. He scraped it off and ate around it. Elote (corn on the cob) was very scorched, not really roasted as the menu says and the flavor wasn't memorable. The decor is pretty but their was a very weird smell permeating the air that was off putting. One review says the restroom is spa like? Nope. 1 sink, 1 toilet....no separate restrooms for men/women either so there's nothing special here. Their menu boasts a fantastic chef but having eaten in a lot of fantastic restaurants all over the world, I'd say they must be comparing their chef to only those found in Winslow. Best part about OTG is their bartender. Those were the best mules we've had! For that alone I gave them a third star. Without that, 2 stars was a gift. Go to Relic Road and skip OTG. Great restaurant in this little town. I chose the salmon - it was great and very reasonably priced. My husband who is a New Mexico native and loves spicy food had the grilled buffalo chicken salad and surprisingly he thought it was really spicy . Went in for dinner. Tried to order spaghetti and meat balls first waitress informed me they were out of meatballs so I ordered something else. Ordered two appetizers the mahi tacos and caprese salad. The food came before the appetizers. Server comes to the table and says we are out of the cheese to make the caprese salad want to have it made with another cheese completely unaware of what cheese goes in it and that the mozzarella is what makes the salad offers me feta. She pretty much avoided us after that. Waited like 30 minutes for our check after we ate. The food was mediocre at best and the service sucked there was 3 tables in the restaurant too so no reason for bad service. Olde Town Grille has been a huge disappointment. I have eaten here on many occasions, from the time they've opened until the present day. I was dissatisfied with the food each time I came. I gave this place hope that they may improve, but since they've opened there's been no improvement. Now onto the pictures I've posted. The green chile sirloin wrap... the fries were decently seasoned, but the wrap itself was flavorless. All I could taste was the red onion, lettuce, and tomato. You could hardly taste any meat and when you did it was bland. Absolutely no seasoning was added. The part that made this wrap worse was that there was no green chile or that special aoli sauce in the wrap. If there was I couldnt taste it. On the second picture my cousin got the meatball sub. I did try some of his because he didn't like it and refused to eat it. I'm not sure if you can tell by the picture, but it looks like they melted string cheese on the top of the sandwich. It very well tasted like it too, with a hint of that "refrigerator taste." The meatballs were obviously frozen it had a mushy texture, that caused my cousin to stop eating it and I don't blame him. I rate this restaurant 2 stars. I wanted to rate it 1 mostly due to the food tasting as bad as it did for the price, but the aesthetic of the restaurant was very nice. It is very simplistic and modern, so I will pump it up 1 star just for that. I just wish they had food that tastes half as good as the restaurant looks. I also write this review not to bash the restaurant, but to make them aware that they need to address the problems they have in the kitchen. read more

Our group of four stopped into Olde Town Grill for lunch. The food was amazing and the restaurant is very nice. The Only problem we had was with the service. The two waitresses were as slow as molasses. A few side items were forgotten and we were done with our meals before outer waitress said that she hadn't forgotten about us. No worries, we don't need them anymore so never-mind. We asked for the check, that took another long while to get, then tying to take care of them taking out payment. Let's just say it got ridiculous. Upon looking around, and the place was not really all that busy, there were 3 different people that had been sitting at the bar waiting to be served for at least 15+ minutes. Personally I would have left. I'm glad we got there when we did. There was another family of 6 that had also been waiting that same amount and they hadn't even gotten their menus, let alone water. Like I said the food was amazing but the owner needs to figure out what the heck is going on with their wait staff. read more
