Decided to give the new spot in town a try and I can sadly say I won't go again. Went in with my girlfriend to grab dinner to-go and the place was empty. We were greeted right away which was nice but told the lady we just wanted it to go so she guided us to the register to place our order. I was craving sweet and sour sauce and the sweet and sour shrimp picture caught my eye so that's what I ordered. I usually get chow-mein when I get Chinese food so I asked for it and turns out they charge almost $6!!! For chow-mein. I spend a lot of money on food but $6 for probably one of the cheapest things to make is crazy. I still got it(made it a $20 plate). Girlfriend ordered beef and broccoli w/ chowmein (yes another $6 added). We didn't get any drinks but we did get cream cheese wontons. Our order came out to $55. Didn't really care because I thought it was going to be big plates of food similar to all other Chinese restaurants in the city. Got home and took out the food and was soooo disappointed. 1st of all the portions were okay but definitely way less then expected, Also they put everything separate and not in 1 plate which I didn't really like either but hey some people do. 2nd the sweet and sour shrimp came not mixed with the sauce I had to mix it myself which is the weirdest thing. Like serving orange chicken with dry chicken and sauce on the side!? Finally got to try and could not be happier! The interior decor is fresh, modern, and clean. I love the mint color of the seating paired with the natural wood tables and chairs. We ordered Thai tea, kung pao chicken, sesame chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and Xiao long bao. We were so impressed with the freshness of every element of the meal, the vegetables were nice and crisp, the meat was tender. Nothing felt drenched in oil. Went here for lunch and ordered the lunch special General Tso's chicken - $9.99 and Xiao Long Bao. - $9.99. The lunch special was a good portion for a reasonable price, but I would gladly pay $1 more to include a small egg roll or a crab Rangoon. The lunch menu included standard Americanized Chinese fare. The food I received was tasty and hot - too much sauce though, and the chicken was fried to the point that it was a little hard. The fried rice was really bland - could have used a little more seasoning. Garlic? Pepper? Overall, a decent lunch for a decent price. The Xiao Long Bao was not as good. It was likely a frozen product - the skins were thick and there was no soup inside the way handmade ones are. The meat inside was more like a meatball and there weren't any seasonings or spices. 2 stars on the dim sum - please consider making from scratch or purchasing a better quality product, especially for the price. read more

Fist time trying China Fun for lunch. Place is amazing, good set up inside and plenty of seating. Food was okay. I got the king pao tofu and when my plate came out, there was a dead ant on my plate. Once I told the very sweet waitress, she took the plate back and asked if I wanted it to be remade. I told her to just change the plate as I was in a hurry and needed to leave by a certain time. I wasn't able to fully enjoy the meal after that. Probably won't come back as I don't live close by and food was below average. Good service though read more

The place has pretty good Chinese food. I had the egg drop soup, lunch combo, and spicy egg plants. The egg drop soup was 10/10, very simple yet very delicious. Could use more corn tho. Lunch combo was nicely portioned for the price and tasted as expected. Spicy egg plant had really nice flavors but a few pieces of the egg plants had skin that was under cooked. As a side note to the ambience. The place felt like it was trying to be an American and Chinese restaurant at the same time. It kinda sends a mixed message. If you just want fresh, well-seasoned Chinese food that's a bit more standard fare (ie. Kung Pao Chicken, fried rice, Mongolian Beef), then I think China Fun actually exceeds most places. As mentioned, the food is very well-seasoned. The spicy dishes don't skimp on the spice, and the food is served hot and fresh. I especially liked the chicken wing appetizer.
