First off I like the new management here! I just want to explain an incident that transpired today and as I was eating I witnessed it all go down. I'm tired of rude people that start things and say they are going to leave a bad review because they just feel they have power over a business. Today a woman came into this restaurant and was immediately being rude and condescending to the female worker here. She ordered like normal then asked for extra crispy egg rolls. The worker said ok and told the kitchen to make the customers egg rolls extra crispy. The woman ordering kept telling her make sure they are extra crispy and the worker kept saying ok, then the woman ordering flipped out and said "why are you being rude" ? as I'm sitting her eating I am like what? How is she being rude? Then the customer went off and starting arguing with the worker about how she's being rude and won't full fill her order demands. The worker responded, by saying next time she will not help her again because of what transpired , All of a sudden the customer started saying .. "well your going to be denying an autistic child food?" SMH in my mind I was just dying this is just crazy, this woman just went there lol .. that lady is probably making a review right now and she's going to blow things out of proportion. Saying she's a victim . Don't listen to her, I saw the whole thing. She's nuts! Anyway , I had a great experience here , the food was fresh ! I had wonton soup and combo c . Everything great! And the worker was really nice to me. She gave me water everytime I asked . My order was accurately made and she even made sure my plate was overflowing with my food selections. The staff here is incredibly kind and welcoming, which already makes this place stand out. I'm giving China Garden Express 5 stars mainly because they seriously have the best hot & sour soup around. It's made fresh, so it usually takes about 10-15 minutes, but it's absolutely worth the wait every single time. The flavor is rich, perfectly balanced, and consistently delicious. Very yummy food! The orange chicken and the teriyaki chicken is super good! Please note the teriyaki chicken does come with the skin. They give you very good portions same size as if you were to walk in to get it and to order it on DoorDash or pickup. Which is nice since not many places do that. Friendly employees my husband and I enjoy this establishment very much and eating here does not have us feeling like we ate super greasy or heavy food after. The noodles are also amazing. Please note they are under new ownership but the menu is the same and amazing as always!!! Also super fresh!!! Love: 1)Chicken chow mein made fresh! The regular one is great as well. 2) Orange Chicken either spicy or not! 3) Teriyaki Chicken 4) Beef and Broccoli 5) Spicy Chicken 6) Black Pepper Chicken 7) Breaded Shrimp Honestly it is all amazing! I grew up in a family Chinese restaurant, so I'm very picky with my Asian foods. This restaurant was our go to place for pancit and lumpia for many years. We were craving it so we came to our favorite Chinese fast food restaurant, but saw the huge sign that said, "Under New Management". We were devastated because we've been coming to this restaurant for so long and they had the best pancit and lumpia for a Chinese fast food place. Since we were there, we decided to try them out. They did change up the inside. There are plenty of tables to sit and eat there. They have a refrigerator for can drinks. It was empty when we got there which was about an hour before closing, and all their hot food items were almost all out which was fine since we were going to order off the menu. It's not listed up on the menu, but they do offer pancit and lumpia when I asked them. There was one person working the front and I saw about three people in the kitchen. The lady who takes your order and packs your food lacks customer service skills. She told us the cook made our pancit with the wrong noodles, but it's still good, so she threw in two egg rolls in the bag to make up for it, and gave us our bag. She left and helped the next guests. I'm sorry, what? Didn't even ask if that was okay or if I wanted to wait for the cook to fix it. When we got home and opened the food, both noodles looked the same and the flavor wasn't even there. The lumpia looked liked little fingers which are totally different than the ones from the previous owners, and it lacked flavor. We will definitely not be going back, and are so disappointed we lost another good Chinese fast food place that serves Filipino food. read more

Wife went there today and asked me what I want, so I look at their menu here and see newly posted menu photos from just a month ago, posted by China garden Express themselves. I tell her what to order for me and they have none of it. Why post a menu when you don't have any of it available? Some of the combo options shown on the menu are apparently "special order only". She tells them I'm reading off the menu they posted just one month ago, and they say they have a new menu. THEN WHY NOT DELETE THE PHOTOS OF YOUR OLD MENU AND POST PHOTOS OF YOUR NEW ONE??? Needless to say, they lost a sale because they don't have any of the stuff I wanted from their menu. I liked it better under the old management. read more

I stopped by around 6 pm today after hearing the restaurant is under new management and wanted to give it another try. I ordered the Combo B and the salt and pepper chicken wings. The staff let me know there would be a short wait, so I walked over to the Ralphs next door while waiting. After picking up my order and getting back to my car, I tried the food right away and it was definitely worth the wait. Everything tasted fresh and the chicken wings were especially good. I came in at about 230 for takeout lunch and my food is cold. Not even warm just flat out cold. Took about two or three bites and ended up throwing it away because I'm not about to get food poisoning from food that's been sitting out at improper temperatures for who knows how long. read more

I had removed my original bad review because the last 5 times I've come a very nice girl was always so sweet and accommodating and I realized they didn't deserve such a bad review, it was only the one young lady who is working now who is so angry. When I mention how everyone was so nice and I removed the bad review she started yelling at me saying they don't want my Bussiness and the owner was so mad they told her to tell me not to come back I only come here because my son who is autistic has been coming here since 4th grade he is now 21 the new owners took over I'm sorry to give such a horrible review again but she continue to yell at me not to ever come back and then started telling all the other customers stuff. Such an angry young lady. I had removed my bad review because how kind her sister was. I'm sadden to put this back up because I thought they had a sudden change of compassion in their hearts. I hope the owner look at the cameras and watch the video of how their daughter behaves in their place of Bussiness and treat customers she even went to the back and started yelling at the cooks about me. She could not stop yelling the whole time I was there is something mentally and emotionally wrong with this young lady. I had already discounted the restaurant based on the name thinking it would be your run of the mill $1 greasy Chinese food. A quick yelp search helped sway my vote when I saw the Filipino portion of the menu. The kids chose chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken, bbq pork, teriyaki chicken, veggie egg rolls, and an order of lechon. The lechon comes in one size for $18.99; the woman was nice and brought a large container brimming & piping hot to our table. Crunchy, meaty and delicious...needed a little salt but all in all I loved it! The bbq pork and teriyaki chicken was a little lean and still very tasty. Prices are more than reasonable & the staff was very nice. Will be back if I'm in the area. Glad to support the Lechon! ;) read more

My family and I have been going here for 29 years. In my most recent visit I was saddened, yet happy to learn that the original owners who had been so gracious and generous whenever we ordered, had retired. Our order was always cooked fresh, portions were generous m, food had taste and service was friendly. While most of those qualities seem to have remained the same under the new owners, sadly the one thing missing in tonight's order was flavor. The lumpia and hot n sour soup lacked flavor, the orange chicken was bland, spicy beef lacked beef.... Unfortunately, the family and I were left disappointed And now we will need to find a new local establishment to quench that need for good flavorful fast Chinese food. I will say that the service was friendly, accurate and fast. I wish them all the best and hopefully they will see this and make some changes. read more

I have never been here before so I was really relying on reviews. I had them cater the food for my daughter's outdoor birthday party. It was very very affordable! We ordered the chow mein, orange chicken and lumpia's. All the kids and parents enjoyed their lunch! (Along w/ the pizza I ordered at the Dominoes nearby) The location is great since the grocery store was also nearby. Cake, pizza and Chinese in one swoop! Easy party planning for me! This is literally the best fast Chinese food in Corona. Everything is fresh, and the kitchen is clean! The BBQ pork is great, as are the rest of the sides. One of their specialties are the egg foo young. It's a massive portion and will feed 3 to four people! The gravy is amazing, filled with beef chicken or shrimp or all three if desired. I used to be a loyal customer because i live nearby but lately their food has gotten worse. I ordered a plate of just orange chicken to go. I got home and took one bite of the chicken nugget. the orange chicken is was really crunchy but I didn't taste the chicken at all. I realized that the bite I took was basically breading. Pure breading, no chicken meat on sight. Took another bite after another, still felt like 90% of the chicken nuggets were breading and a tiny piece of it is old chicken meat. Thats just disappointing as I paid 13.99 for a plate of orange chicken. I understand that times are tough right now but it affects the customer too. The price isn't cheap either and I expected at least a real bite of chicken meat and a layer of breading. Not 90% breading and 10% meat. My all-time favorite spot to get Chinese food in Corona! I remember as a kid my mom would take my sister and I here as a treat and the quality and taste is just as good to this day. The price continues to be affordable and they're very generous with portions (I got three scoops of orange chicken- I mean what more can you ask for?) For a filling meal, I'd suggest getting their Combo B (chow mein and/or rice with two sides.) Even better, it cost less than $8?! My favorite sides to order are their teriyaki chicken and steamed vegetables (honestly thought they'd be bland, but I'm not sure what seasoning is used but they taste great! Could ~probably~ get your kid to eat some greens with the flavor.) The Lumpiang Shanghai (pork egg rolls) are ADDICTING. They come in an order of 12 and after you finish them you are going to wish you bought another order. I also got the garlic chicken which is actually a garlicky orange chicken with a slight heat to it. Absolutely delicious. Not sure what the quality is like when you get it off the serving trays out front but when it's made fresh to order it is wonderfully crisp and tastes amazing. I always find that orange chicken comes too sweet but the flavors here are so well balanced and I feel the savory is perfectly balanced with the sweet and that light touch of heat. read more
