Any smaller of a table would've been a tight fit for all our food. It is very aesthetic inside with modern decor with a casual feel. Service was attentive, and ordering was quick and easy. We ordered a Thai tea, pad Thai with chicken, and yellow pumpkin curry with beef. The Thai tea was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. From our table, we saw the drinks being made to order. As for the food, the Pad Thai was delicious! The chicken was juicy and tender, and it looked like they used chicken thigh instead of the typical chicken breast. The sauce was perfectly balanced without being too sweet or salty, and I loved that the vegetables were still fresh and crunchy. The yellow pumpkin curry was just as good with rich flavor! The beef was tender, and the chunks of pumpkin added a subtle sweetness and great texture. I also liked how it came with a generous side of rice. By the end of the meal, we were completely stuffed. My absolute favorite is the Soft Shell Crab Curry, I highly recommend it! Everything here was so amazing! It's the best Thai food I've ever had in SoCal! I was in the area and we got a couple things to try. The pad thai was so flavorful and the calamari was crispy with a really tasty sour sauce on the side. The Thai teas were also the perfect amount of sweet and creamy. I'd also recommend the green curry. Basically everything we got. Oh especially the chicken satay! I loved that it wasn't on a skewer and it felt like they gave more than I'm used to getting at a restaurant. First time visiting here after hearing many great things about this place. Pad Thai: One of our favorite dishes. The noodle is chewy and the flavor is great (not too sweet and salty). Highly recommend this. Chicken Satay: This is our other favorite dishes. The chicken is tender and well seasoned. This is a great alternative for their popular crying tiger in terms of the portion and pricing. Papaya Salad: I was a bit disappointed with this. The papaya salad is lack of flavoring (specifically the garlic taste). It's not very marinated. Tom Yum Soup: We got a small bowl of the seafood tom yum soup. The portion is great for 2 people, but don't expect too much seafood from it. The flavor is good, so it's still a great soup option. Non-Sweet Sticky Rice: Unlike other places, their sticky rice is served as a dessert, you can still taste the coconut flavor. Most other traditional Thai places serve sticky rice as unsweetened and plain (i.e., jasmine rice soaked overnight). Not really mad about this. The service was absolutely amazing. We made a reservation ahead of time to avoid waiting in line. I'm glad we did because there were already people waiting when we arrived at 6pm. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Cute thai restaurant in Diamond Bar. It definitely gets busy, so they will ask you to leave your table in a timely fashion to allow others to be seated. So if you're planning on a long dinner or catch up sesh, this is probably not the place to go. We have definitely been asked to leave before the 90 min are up on a few occasions. Long term customer here, I am still inside the restaurant while writing this. I was really disappointed with the pineapple fried rice. It was extremely bland and honestly tasted like plain white rice with a little bit of color added. There was barely any seasoning or flavor, and it definitely wasn't what I expected from a pineapple fried rice. What made the experience even worse was the staff's attitude when we politely shared our feedback. Instead of listening or trying to address the issue, they came across as dismissive and unfriendly, which left a bad impression. This place is honestly so good! They've been at a few events that I've attended in past. Location is conveniently close to family, who live nearby so when we are in the area we frequently dine here. Salmon Panang is delightful and comforting; rich, creamy, slightly spicy and packed with flavor. It's served with a side of white rice. Also, Red Curry Beef is terrific, curry flavor is on point and perfect. Their special Garden Trout is very good. It's basically fried fish topped with mango herb salad which everyone loves. Let's just start with WE WILL BE BACK! The establishment is inside a very busy plaza. There are many options to dining around this little spot. However, I am very happy that we chose this one. The staff is extremely friendly, and you can tell that they are constantly busy. We regretted pretty much immediately. We were meeting up with some friends so we had about six people all together. They seated us in the corner which was perfect! We were able to have conversations and didn't have to speak any louder than our normal voices. The food was very good overall and they always came to check on us. Many of us ordered hot teas or hot water, which we were very happy that they would come and rewarm them. We ordered several dishes and truly enjoyed them overall. Wonton soup: 4. Broth was light and there were a good amount of wontons. Shrimp and veggies were yummy. Just wished that it came out hot. It was a tad cool. Spicy catfish was yummy, but seemed to be very westernized. It seemed that it was more like batter fish tossed in sauce and veggies. At most restaurants, the fish is more of a deep fry technique with a little bit more flavor. The pad see ewe beef (4) had the perfect texture. It was very well seasoned with a good amount of beef slices and veggies. It is a little bit more on the sweeter side than what we are used to but still very good. Chicken wings (3) We will probably not order this one. It was basically plain fried chicken wings with sauce on the side. It was okay and the flavor wasn't anything that stood out. All the other dishes were very tasty and we would say a 4 rating. It would probably would have been better if those dishes came out a little bit more warmer. Basil & Co is a modern restaurant boasting traditional thai flavors. It is located by the freeway in Diamond Bar and tucked away in the corner of a plaza. The food here is good, nothing too remarkable but it gives you that warm, hearty feeling you want from traditional cultural cuisine. The tom kha (coconut) soup with shrimp was the highlight of my visit. Absolutely delicious and comes out hot and ready to eat. I can say that the spicy fried rice with chicken was enhanced greatly by the addition of juice from the lime that they provided, but was a bit lacking in flavor at first. Those first two dishes along with the stellar service and beautiful interior warrant 4 or 5 stars easily. However, the pad thai was not my favorite bite of food ever. It came a bit overcooked, the noodles being mushy and soft instead of chewy like I expected. The flavors and taste were solid, with the pad thai being a bit too sweet for my liking, even with the lime. But I did not enjoy the feeling of the noodles in my mouth. Overall, I think this place has lots to ride home about. A beautiful interior design, modernized dining areas, with big glass windows that let in a lot of natural light. The soup here is phenomenal, and the fried rice is good. I think if I came here again and ordered different dishes I would end up giving it 4 or even 5 stars, but that day was not today. I had previously tried their sister restaurant, Ari's Thai Eatery in Azusa, and was satisfied with it. We arrived around 11:00 a.m. and noticed that several tables were already occupied, even though they had just opened at 11 a.m. The place was welcoming with modern decor, and the seats were comfortable. We ordered Red Curry with rice (mild) chicken ($17.99), and Shrimp Pad Thai ($20.99) for both of us. The presentation of both dishes was great, but the Red Curry with chicken was the true standout. Boasting a perfect balance of heat and creaminess, the curry was remarkably savory. The restaurant offers customizable spice levels, allowing you to increase the heat if you prefer a spicier dish. I'm glad I opted for the mild spice level, as it still delivered a satisfying and noticeable kick. The Shrimp Pad Thai was also impressive, featuring a well-executed balance of savory and sweet flavors. Came in on Mother's Day around dinner rush, so I want to give some grace because I know how brutal restaurant holidays can get, I'm a server myself. Unfortunately, service was rough from the start. We sat for about 10 minutes without being greeted or even acknowledged. Honestly, even a quick "I'll be right with you" would've gone a long way. Instead, our server (young woman with tattoos) continued helping the tables to our left and right before finally coming back to us. Drinks also took a while to come out, and although she took our order, she never once checked back on us afterward. To be fair, other staff members did step in and help throughout the night. Howard the busser was extremely attentive with drink refills, and another server helped bring requested sides like peanuts for the Pad Thai, the chili platter, and our to-go boxes. Luckily I remembered that this place existed and it wasn't too far from all of us (all coming from different areas - LA, the Valley... okay it was far for those from the Valley LOL), Rowland Heights). There were 2 other parties about the same size as ours so that took up most of the restaurant. But once we were seated, our waitress greeted us right away getting our drinks order and asking if we wanted any appetizers. We were ready to order since we've been looking at the menu during our 30 minute wait. We got the crispy egg rolls for the tablr and pretty much ordered a bunch of dishes to share family style. The tom yum soup, pad see ew, and banana rolls were solid, and prices were reasonable. I was hoping to try the mango sticky rice, but it wasn't available, so we opted for the banana rolls instead. They tasted like a fried banana pie. Although they were very busy on a Sunday evening, we were seated right away. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. So glad we took a chance on this place! The moment you walk in, you're greeted by the most amazing aromas. We were seated quickly on a Sunday evening, even though the restaurant was packed. The service runs like a well-oiled machine the servers truly divide and conquer, so you're never left waiting. Someone is always nearby for a refill or to check in. The papaya salad was fresh and light, the pumpkin curry was incredibly flavorful, and the pad see ew was loaded with chicken. The noodles tasted like they were made in-house. Love that you can make reservations online through the Yelp app! The restaurant was hopping and we waited about 20 mins for our table to be ready. We had a group of six and we ordered a number of curries, noodles, rice and vegetable dishes. The food came out quickly and was flavorful and delicious. We went low spice to accommodate the kids but their hot sauce with bird eye chili's packs quite the punch. We ended with a tasty order of mango and sticky rice. The noise level is a little high so one of our older guests had trouble hearing across our table. But overall we had a great experience at Basil & Co. read more

A friend invited us. The food was tasty and fresh. I don't think we have anything like it in Encino. Service was excellent and a good ambiance. There is also plenty of parking as well. Salads were amazing. read more
