Not bad. Our regular orders are kung pao chicken and shrimp egg foo young at most Chinese restaurants. Clearly this place is made more for delivery than eating in. Service was mediocre, but food was good. Partner is pretty picky about food, especially his kung pao. He said this was better than most places, definitely not bad. Very fast, hot, and tasty delivery! Straight-forward Chinese food with fresh ingredients and yummy sauces. Had a hankering for egg rolls and cream cheese wontons and they did not disappoint. The chicken with vegetables had a nice array of veggies, not just the cheap ones! And the sesame chicken was yummy. Thumbs up! You know? Not bad. There cream cheese wontons are like everyone else's but thats fine. I got roast pork egg foo young, it was crispy on the edges, and packed full of yumminess. I also got the steamed dumplings and they were really good. I also ordered for delivery and was here within 30 minutes. And it was super piping hot and fresh. They put the gravy on the side which I appreciate, and was so happy because it wouldn't be soggy and gross by the Time I get it. The order took 2 hours to process before I called to get updates, and they haven't even started it.

I would give this place a zero if I could. We called to verify that they did deliver to our location, we then place our order. We were given a time from of 45 minutes maximum for it to be delivered. Two hours later we were still waiting, when we called to find out where our order was, they had no idea where the order or where their driver was. I ordered delivery to my hotel room. Prices were reasonable and while it wasn't fast delivery it wasn't unreasonable. When food was delivered I couldn't wait to eat but they didn't bring any plastic forks or any sauces or condiments. Luckily my hotel had some but still frustrating. Egg drop soup was good but nothing amazing. Cream cheese wontons were gritty and almost sour tasting. The true disappointment of the evening came when I opened my pork lo mein-- they had given me pork fried rice. Still good but not at all what I ordered. The egg roll and cashew chicken combo was terrible. Way too salty, fried chicken, and terrible veggies that were somehow not fresh but also undercooked. Overall, not a great experience and would not recommend. Other places deliver and have better, more reliable food. read more

I ordered around 6pm, was given an estimated delivery of 6:51pm. Our food didn't arrive until well after 7:30pm. When the food did arrive, it was lukewarm at best with cold being a more accurate description. It's single digits outside but that's still no excuse! Late night in the South Minneapolis/Richfield area, I needed something to eat. So I was thinking chinese. Drove along 66th St. I found this place. Time showed past 9 already. Thank God, they were open. Actually they open until 10:30 pm. The service was prompt, I ordered chicken broccoli and pepper steak with onion for take out. Both of them good quality food, good portion and less spices. It was ok for me. The rice came out cook perfectly. Definitely will be back if I wanted chinese and in this area. read more

Have ordered from China Garden previously and the food was alright. Today I ordered Shimp Chow Mein and it was by far the worst Chinese food I have ever had. More celery than anyone would know what to do with, a tasteless and slimy sauce, and a handful of shrimp mixed in, if even. Food was lukewarm and I couldn't stand more than a few bites. 2 hours waiting for the food. And that's the second time it happened. The distance from the restaurant to the hotel is 1.5 miles. 20 minutes if they walked the food and 20 minutes to make 40 to 50 minutes. But no it took 2 hours I even cancelled the order. A representative call me back to find out why after I told her she apologized and said she's going to compensate my account but apparently that was just some kind a calming technique and gather had no attention to compensate me or even care. Had the shrimp roll and curry beef. I think I saw one shrimp in the shrimp roll and it was otherwise lacked much flavor. I really prefer spring rolls so perhaps I'm not a good judge. Ordered food in hopes it would last me until Monday. Frankly, it's now in the trash. 30 bucks + down the toilet. Money I could have spent on food to cook (but so lazy and uninspired right now) or more present money for family. It arrived luke warm if that, and cold by the time i plated. The meat tasted two days old, stale, y'all know that taste. Blech. I ordered my favorite dish from them, Beef with Scallions. This is supposed to be savory and sweet, NOT spicy. I like spicy. But. Wow. I couldn't even eat it. I don't know what happened. Did I miss something here? The meat was dry and leftover tasting. Did they change the dish? I didn't realize they put all the chili oil and chili's in it. The House Special Chow Mein was so unappealing and also tasted like leftovers. Stale is the key word here. Meat stale AF. The pork egg foo was the only saving grace, but arrived mushy, might as well have saved the plastic container and poured it over. The flavor was there, so there is that. My expectation for it to be mushy was expected. So disappointed in 99% of it. I want my money back. Seriously. Yelp review will do nothing. I will take this as a loss. I ordered for delivery completely blind - I hadn't read any reviews, didn't know anyone who had eaten here and I didn't have any coupons. I'm so glad I found this place. Delivery was SO fast. I don't like to badmouth restaurants because I know how much work it is to run one, but I feel like I need to warn potential diners so they don't waste their money. I've been trying to find something in my area where we can get some decent, cheap Chinese takeout. I've tried Fresh Wok, Red Pepper, Cathay Chow Mein and Xin Won and came away from all of them with a resounding "Meh....." This was much worse. I ordered egg rolls, fried dumplings, wonton soup, pepper steak with onions, and vegetable lo mein. Egg rolls were edible, as were the dumplings and lo mein, but just barely. The other two dishes were not. The soup was a bunch of flavorless wontons with weird grey lumps of meat in the middle floating in yellow saltwater. The pepper steak had strange tasting green peppers and overcooked onions with some flappy pieces of grey mystery meat in a thin, salty sauce. No flavor whatsoever. If you must order something here, stick to the deep fryer. Just don't let them break out the wok because the results won't be pretty. I'm not asking for Grand Szechuan, Little Szechuan or Teahouse here, just some cheap, fast food with a modicum of flavor when we're too tired to cook up a dinner. $50 of disgusting food straight to the trash and a pizza ordered. Nothing was right with this place. Waited an hour for 3 foul entrees and two terrible appetizers. The steamed dumplings seemed to be straight from the freezer section at the grocery - not Chinese, but Japanese Goyza. I swear that I've bought them at Trader Joe's (and didn't like them there either.) We ordered pork, but these were definitely chicken. One bite of these was enough. Asked for a Spring roll, but got a greasy, nasty egg roll - which was by far the best thing we tried. The breading on the orange beef was totally soggy, who knows when it was cooked. My wife and I tried one piece each and YUCK! About that time, my daughter pulls some fuzzy, hair from her rice. I take a test bite of the gray and awful looking Singapore Noodles. NASTY! No one was brave enough to try the Happy Family, the smell and the giant, mutant "baby" corn turned our stomachs and freaked us out. We usually order from Fresh Wok and had thought it was going a bit downhill lately, so we thought that we would try something new. This is probably the worst Asian food I've ever tasted. It has that nasty musky flavor to it. Almost makes you question if it's real meat. No crisp to the wontons, no spice to the hot and spicy chicken. Chicken doesn't even taste like chicken nor does the beef soup. I don't even trust the bottled water! I would not recommend this. I have ordered from here a few times (mistakenly) and my go to for Chinese is sweet and sour chicken. Well I did not like that from this place. And I only have ordered from there multiple times because I used different ordering apps and didn't correlate that it was the same restaurant. When I got my food the chicken was dry and overly cooked and the sauce is just a very off taste. Not like sour like it bad and not like old tasting it's just not a good flavor. I'm not sure if it's commercially bought of fresh made but it isn't good and it's very loose. It does not hold onto the chicken no matter if I just sunk the whole chicken inside. Which is highly dissatisfying when it's your favor dish. The white rice is okay but nothing special and they didn't even provide chopsticks with my meal, (which I prefer to eat with chopsticks) so this was also disappointing. Given the restaurants location, I think they did an excellent job at keeping the inside of the facility clean, inviting, and comfortable. The sesame chicken lunch special was phenomenal, served hot and delicious. It was also a great value for the price. Service was hospitable and fast. I waited for almost two hours for luke warm, sub-par food.I ordered delivery through grub hub. The order had not been delivered 20 minutes after the qouted time, so I called the place. They told me the driver was on his way. 20 minutes later the driver arrived with a luke warm bag of mediocre chinese food. The cream cheese wontons werent terrible..... but would have been alot better hot. The sauce that came with them had a nice, sweet flavor. I also ordered the Crispy Duck. We were the only people inside the restaurant on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon. There were several take out orders while we were there. The food came out within a few minutes of us ordering. The fare was the usual strip mall Chinese food. The Orange chicken with fried rice was so-so. Sauce was tasty, but the fried rice was bland. The Kung Pao chicken was spicy, but I always compare it to Roseville's Willowgate and it just doesn't compare. Both lo mein dishes, beef and chicken, were OK to good.
