Our regular go to closed down and our runner up was also closed for the day so we tried China Tiger. This may be our new go to place. Absolutely impressed and hit every mark. Pork Mei Fun was delciious with huge chunks of pork and a lot of it. It was definitely enough for three meals. Pork fried rice and egg rolls were also plentiful. The egg rolls were not my favorite, but still okay. Wonton soup delicious. Can't wait to try more of their items. Great place with quality tasty food and reasonable prices. Best garlic chicken I have had in this area. It is a typical dish I like to order. I use it as a standard to compare different restaurants.

They're always great there. I've been going there for 25 years. They have a wide variety to choose from, I remember back in the day when they had a lunch buffet, which was pretty darn good at a reasonable cost. Wish they still had that going. read more

The display of the Koi fish in this restaurant is appalling. There are over 15 very large fish in a 200 gallon tank meant to hold 4 to 5 Koi fish. The last time I was there, there was a dead fish floating and they ignored my complaint. I'm hoping people will have enough of a conscience to make a complaint or to stop going there. I will never order food from there again. It is too depressing to see those poor fish in that overcrowded tank. read more

I ordered take out for a family get together. I saw good reviews so took a chance on China tiger. Ordered A Lot of food. The Sesame chicken was burned and dried out- chewy nubs. I wanted to cry because I ordered 3 of them because it is a family favorite. No one could eat it. The mock duck chow main was "Squishy" and tasted like water and no flavor. The vegy pad thai was ok. The only thing that was delicious was the szechuan Beef- wonderful flavor, great spice. The nice thing was the staff offered paper plate and utensils which nice. It also did not take an extensive amount of time (30 min wait). Sadly, I wont revisit them. I cant risk having burned, dried up sesame chicken read more

Their food is amazing. I've liked everything I've tried. Egg rolls are flavorful and not mushy inside like other places. Their moo goo Gi pan is delicious, so is sweet and sour pork, chicken almond ding, and chicken with pea pods. I even like their chicken lo mein, which I don't usually care for. But theirs has lots of flavor. Oh yes their fried rice and the pork egg foo young is delicious. Lots of veggies and meat in the patties. Finally found my go to place north of 694. Spotted this place while driving by and thought we'd give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised as Chinese food places in the area are more of a miss than a hit. The orange chicken wad delicious and garnished with 4 large pieces of steamed broccoli. The szechuan beef was ok, though had good flavor and full of fresh vegetables, texture of the beef was not my favorite, tender, small pieces, probably would choose another before ordering again. Bo bo platter was tasty, though I didn't care for the ribs. The shrimp, chicken wings, eggrolls and teriyaki chicken was delicious and all very filling. Love their cream cheese wontons, full of cream cheese and lightly fried and crisp. Definitely will try again! read more

Never knew this place was here! Tucked away in the corner of a strip mall stands this tiny restaurant. Placed my order online and when I arrived, a bubbly lady came bouncing out with my order. When we got home, I was surprised on how big the portions were! We ended up getting 3 meals out of our order! Flavors are a lot better than other take out options. Not changing the star rating yet, but I went back to CT sooner than I thought I would, because of how much I enjoyed the basic pork egg roll from the first visit! I ordered the egg rolls, chicken chow mein, and Singapore chow mei fun. Egg roll was very good once again, and is right in line with the idealized American Chinese egg roll that is burned in my mind from when I was a kid in the '70's. If the offered house made hot mustard for these, it would be awesome. Luckily, I make it myself and often have some on hand. Chow mein was totally fine. It seemed pretty fresh, rather then the steam table glop a lot of places serve. You know, like when you get a scoop of dark brown goo with a bunch of bland shreds of steamed protein of your choice? This was a medium brown, and not all celery-which was still pretty green by the way. The rice include was again a wet clump of poorly cooked and/or held rice. This is one reason why no additional stars. The Singapore mei fun was enjoyable. More heat than I anticipated based on the previous experience with "spicy" dishes. Kind of light on non-noodle ingredients for the price, but it was a pretty good sized serving. A tad greasy, but nothing unusual. I will return. The egg rolls alone will keep me coming back. I intend to try the egg foo young and lo mein, and one of the spicy chicken stir fry dishes. Gotta cover the classics! read more

This is one of my boyfriend and I's fave Chinese food places. We discovered it when we were looking for nearby places that were open on Christmas. Jesus' birthday? Let's gorge on Chinese food and all the carbs and meats. We have ordered both takeout and dined in. Dining in cons: Service was very slow during our last visit, we even considered leaving. And the interior honestly is... not great. There was a table that was never cleaned of unfinished dishes, another disheveled table, and some baby toys/crib. Pros: getting the food fresh out of the wok - hot and crispy!!! So you must know, that China Tiger offers the best Orange Chicken and Sesame Chicken I've ever had. The chicken is tender is juicy and the batter they use makes it extra crispy. The sauces are perfect too. My boyfriend's favorite dish (so far) is the House Special Duck - an incredibly crispy duck with big ol' shrimp and super tender chicken and shrimp. It's served in a savory sauce with fresh veggies and rice. We also love their egg rolls, cheese wontons, and BBQ spare ribs. Plus, the prices are totally reasonable. We were in the area for lunch, and decided to stop here. Now this was a place, we had wanted to stop at for awhile now, and so glad to stop here. Now even though we walked in for to-go order they didn't rush us as we both looked over the menu. I decided on the lunch menu, not only because it was cheaper, but it seemed to have various items from different parts of their regular menu. I had decided on the tiger chicken with a side of egg rolls and chicken fried rice that happened to come with it as well. I even thought to order some cream cheese wontons as well, since they are always one of my favorites to have. Yet, even though we didn't preorder they were really nice and our order only took 20 minutes to get our food. Considering that we were just were walk-ins was not a bad deal. Yet, once we got home I was so looking forward to my meal. Even though this was my first time having tiger chicken I'd have it again. Not only were the pieces nice and big, but it was nice and crispy as well. Plus, the wontons were a nice touch as they were nice and crispy as well. OK, so this review is based on my first post-lockdown meal of fresh Chinese food since February, and please understand that I'm not a foodie; I suspect my palate is more hyena than high-class. If you speak Traditional Minnesota Understated, I can tell the difference between bad and not bad, but I start to struggle with nuances as we pass not bad and head toward pretty good. Food was take-out, ordered on the web site at 5 p.m. on a Friday. Stated time for pickup was 45 minutes, and I think they hit it pretty close. One pork egg roll, a "large" hot & sour soup, and the "Happy Family" off the Chef's Specialties part of the menu. I got there a few minutes before the order was up, so everything was nice and hot. I don't live far away, so it was still hot when I got home on a June evening. The egg roll was... pretty bland, pretty standard. I don't even know why I order the things - I'm not all that fond of them. I'm inclined to like Vietnamese egg rolls better, but had overlooked them on the menu. The hot & sour soup is pretty good, and a "large" is a *quart* of soup (I think) for $3.95. Lots of good stuff in it, including some large chunks of chicken, which was a new experience for me. The white rice was mushy. Yeah, I know, rice texture varies, but this had congealed into a solid block that had to be carved, then carved again. It had no "crumble" in it, and held together even when drowned in sauce. This isn't a show-stopper in my book, but noteworthy. Return visits will reveal if this consistency is consistent. The Happy Family entree was tasty, and could easily have fed three. Hello, Saturday lunch! The flavor was good, lots of good stuff in it, but the lighting was poor in the spot where I ate it, and so don't have a good sense of the visual impression. It was good, but not good enough to tempt me to establish it as "my usual" - there are too many other things on the menu I want to try. Conclusion: In a part of the Twin Cities that's a little bit short of interesting eateries, China Tiger is all right. The prices are good, the take-out service was fine, portions large, flavors largely what one would expect. However, after three-plus months with my fondness for Chinese food kept at bay by Marie Calendar and a microwave, it was pretty darn good. I'll be going back soon. Recommended. read more

We had take out before and it was good the last 4 times. This last time on Thursday 3/9 the food was horrible. Dumplings were over cooked, vegetables overcooked, rice was old. Onions on the soup were old. We are done with this place. read more

My first time here, boy was I glad that I found this place, I ordered pork egg rolls. The best I have ever had. My meal was the 4 Season (C09) asked for spicy. Once again I was very happy with the taste. Everything in the dish were cook to the perfect texture. WOW I eat Oriental at least once a week. With many of their dishes there is nothing special. On the other hand there are a whole lot of dishes that they seem to have added an extra little something to. One of my family's favorites is the Szechuan Dumplings. I don't believe the restaurant has in home dining, we always get take out or delivery. The CUSTOMER IS WRONG. We've had decent food here, but during our most recent phone order, after having it repeated, one of three items we ordered was incorrect and we didn't realize it until we arrived at home. When we called and asked about it, the call taker immediately raised her voice and we were told that we received what we ordered. End of discussion. There was no customer service offered. It doesn't do much to encourage customer loyalty and there are other Chinese restaurants in the area. It's generally okay food. read more

Typical Chinese restaurant, the fried rice is like panada express with meat. The sesame chicken is very good, the right amount of sauce and chicken is crispy. The pot stickers are pretty good. I would recommend this restaurant. read more

We order from China Tiger at least 2x a month - lunch for the office. Order is always correct and food predictably delicious.
