As someone who is a Miami native and went to both South Beach and Ft Lauderdale original locations this new Bal Harbour opening holds a special place to me. I finally got my Crackling Calamari Salad fix that I've been missing for so many years and it is just as amazing as I remember! The high standard of China Grille is still there as is the amazing runner of the show Martine who as always was so thoughtful and amazing as well as the rest of the staff that holds this establishment above others. So happy China Grille is back!

10's across the board!!! WOW, bite after bite was spectacular. Service was top notch! We sat inside, comfortable and lux seating. Most dishes are shareable, family style. I literally wanted everything on the menu. The vibe was FUN while feeling elevated. Great music, bringing me back to the 90's and early 2000's reminiscent of the times China Grill was in South Beach! I can't wait to go back!! DELISH.

I have now been two China Grill twice since their opening. Both experiences left me with more to be desired. First experience, I will keep it brief. We ordered a $300 bottle of wine. Server broke the cork inside the bottle trying to open it. The wine glasses they served it with are basically $5 Jethro stockware. Disappointing. We were a party of 4 and had been sitting for 75 minutes when we were asked how everything was going. Not a single dish had come out. Embarrassing. After 90 minutes, and all dishes being served, they left the check at the table without asking if we wanted dessert. Manager came out and asked us to please excuse them since they had only been open 8 days. You are excused, I suppose, but for $900 you need to do better for your guests. Second experience, decided to give them another shot since the first excuse was they had just opened. Brought friends for a birthday. We sat down and ordered, and within 3 minutes, we were bombarded with food. Nothing was paced at all. At one point we had 5 plates sitting on the table and were barely able to keep up. This time, no excuse. Dishes: dumplings are all good. Lamb ribs are okay, very very fatty. Beef Szechuan is not going to be what you think for Oriental food. It's a steak with sauce over French fries. Weird. Duck salad was ok, nothing like it used to be back in the day. The fried spinach is excellent. The steak & eggs was mediocre. The tuna crispy rice even worse - why reinvent the wheel? Just knock it out of the park with a classic. The peking duck dish to share was very good. The main fish dish I did not try but the people eating it liked. Overall, I was hoping for this to be a great comeback but it has missed the mark for me to return or recommend.

I stopped by for the brunch preview with friends, and it definitely did not disappoint. This was my first time visiting, and I was excited to check it out. The restaurant is located in the former Le Zoo space at Bal Harbour Shops. It was a busy Sunday afternoon, creating a lively atmosphere, and the decor has been completely transformed to match the restaurant's new ambiance. It made a great first impression from the moment I walked in. The food was outstanding. We started with the cod crispy rice and the crispy calamari salad, and both were excellent. The cod crispy rice had the perfect balance of crispy texture and fresh, flavorful fish, while the calamari salad was light, crisp, and beautifully prepared. We also ordered the steamed dumplings and the lobster pancakes, which were just as impressive. The dumplings were delicate and flavorful, and the lobster pancakes were rich, perfectly cooked, and packed with lobster. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, making it easy to see the attention to detail in the kitchen. Overall, it was a fantastic brunch experience, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more of the menu.

We had a wonderful dinner at the new China Grill located in Bal Harbor. The restaurant is beautiful and our service was excellent. During placing our orders, we were told to place all appetizers and entrées at once so that the timing would be handled properly. The food is served to be shared so we shared the lobster pancakes, the pastrami egg roll and the truffle & avocado crispy rice. Everything was delicious, but the most interesting app we enjoyed was the onion soup dumpling. It was super creative and delicious. We then ordered a protein per person or to share with one other person which included the duck, ribeye, sea bass and chicken. Everyone enjoyed the protein options. All the sides were delicious, but I could not stop thinking about the crispy spinach. It was absolutely amazing and actually somehow dissolves in your mouth like cotton candy. One of the most memorable items that I will go back to have again. Finally for dessert, we shared for the table, the chocolate lava cake and banana pudding. Both were delicious. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Checked out the new China Grill in Bal Harbour and the food was excellent across the board. The standout, though, was our food runner Fabiola. She was warm, personable, and genuinely made our evening -- honestly surprised she's not already waiting tables. If a promotion is on the table, she's earned it. Management should take note. Ambience was fine, though the space is smaller than I expected. Overall a strong experience, and Fabiola is the reason we'll be back.

We had a great meal and the service was perfect. Silvio was attentive and helpful. I saw a review about gratuity. It is included 20percent and that is split over the staff. If you leave more it goes directly to the person serving you. That is not something you are forced to do and it is standard in miami at this point. Clearly the diners giving a bad review about industry standard in miami do not go out much. Food was great and the service was worth the 20 percent.

When you enter you are immediately greeted at the front and quickly seated. Our waitress came to bring us water and take our order within a few minutes. I only came for the soup dumplings. They come 3 to an order for $5.95. They come out super fresh and steaming so let them cool down. The broth inside is delicious and really hit the spot. My husband ordered the pan fried pork dumpling. Also come 3 per order. We loved both and were happy with flavor, seasoning. Especially how fast the food came out. I would call this a small restaurant. The space is very casual with ample seating. On a Monday afternoon they were pretty busy so that tells me locals also really love this spot. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu.

As soon as you're seated, you get offered hot tea and water. The hot tea is good. The waiter provided some great suggestions. The only thing is that we did have to request the chow mein noodles, when it was offered to the other tables. To eat, I tried the fried shrimp taro cake, fried crab rangoon, pan fried pork dumplings and special lomein. The fried shrimp taro cake was the best thing I've tried that day. It was delicious and I could eat this all day, everyday. The fried crab rangoon was also delicious and I will definitely order it again. The pork dumplings were tasty too. The special lomein had pork, chicken and shrimp and it was very good. It also came with white rice, which was had no seasoning, but that was expected. The special lomein is definitely a shareable dish. Overall, the service was good and the food was very tasty. I was also very surprised how affordable it was. This is definitely a place I would return when I'm craving Chinese food.

Hands down the best restaurant for dim sum specifically in the Pembroke Pines area…read more China Pavilion is located in a pretty chill shopping center not too far from Pembroke Lakes mall. The restaurant feels very authentic to how Chinese restaurants are, the restaurant has a fish tank at the entrance which is very on brand and over all it's a pretty casual space. The food is really good and there are so many items on the menu, that I definitely recommend coming with a few people so you can try all the things you want without it being way too much food. There are a few waiters/waitresses and they all attentive. Even though one person takes the order, the other servers may bring your food, get you another drink, or clear things off of your table. This is also another restaurant I will definitely be back to and highly recommend, especially if you're looking for Dim Sum in Pines.

The baked roasted pork buns are a must but order early as they do tend to sell out and then you'll miss out! They also have an amazing menu with authentic Chinese dishes to choose from. But oh did it fill my craving for dim sum. This place definitely fulfills a dim sum and szechuan food craving. An extensive menu is available and the food that is executed is... above acceptable. I ordered the shui mai, which was good but lacked in filling. Also ordered the shrimp cheung fun or ha cheung (shrimp noodle roll) and it was impossible to eat. The way that it was rolled and sealed made it so the roll fell a piece in parts and it was difficult to eat. Full disclosure, perhaps it was the mode as delivery that compromised the quality. Still, bottom line, I was disappointed. The hot and sour soup was good, with a nice variety of mushrooms and I really liked the pan fried noodles. I want to try dine in and definitely get the pork spare ribs in black bean sauce as well as the har gow (crystal shrimp dumplings)! Will report back when I am able.

My family and I have been coming here for years, I mean YEARSSS. Possibly over 25 years. We have come here to celebrate our baptisms, school graduations, just because, during Covid times when it was only take-out, etc. Not only has this become our comfort place, but their quality in food has remained the same and delicious throughout the years. They truly take pride in their cuisine and their customer service. My favorite go-to is their shrimp and shrimp parsley dumplings. It's a succulent, lightly seasoned shrimp ball, and they are wrapped in a translucent wrapper. It is divine! I've started to order one whole order (brings 4) for myself lol. They have an extensive dim sum menu and it's available at any time! Check this place out, it will become your new favorite, and you'll be a forever customer.
