Wasn't planning on eating here, but it was a rainy day on a holiday weekend so all the restaurants in brickell city center were super packed with 1 hour+ wait times and this was the only place where we got sat immediately. Upon arrival, the host immediately greeted us and sat us at the only available table which was right behind the host stand outside on the patio, which was fine. With so many restaurants with long waits we were just happy to be sat, no matter if the table wasn't the ideal spot. After we were sat, it took forever for our server to come greet us. When she finally did, she basically asked us what kind of water we want and said she would be back but I made her take our drink orders as well as we had already been waiting for a decent amount of time. After we got our drinks, she took our food order. When the food came out, it was a little messed up. 2/3 of the people at our table ordered nigiri but they brought it all out on one plate, which wasn't an issue but we didn't know what was what. When we tried asking the man who brought the food out to us what was what, he must have misunderstood and he just took the food back. He then returned and had plated all the nigiri on their own separate plate. We didn't ask for this, we only were asking what was what. As for the food, I got the crispy hamachi and the tuna nigiri and salmon nigiri. The tuna nigiri had a super weird ketchup-like sauce on it which was kind of nasty, however, the salmon nigiri was super delicious and buttery. The crispy hamachi was also super delicious. I also enjoyed my drink which was the La chula. I don't think my 9 pieces of sushi and 1 drink was worth $80 but that's Miami for you. My friend also got the bang bang shrimp tempura pieces and we didn't realize it came with blue cheese crumbles on it so that was pretty nasty and inedible. All in all, this place was not the vibe. We sat in the bar and we ordered a few appetizers such as the spicy edamame that some spice to it (we are used to spicy so it wasn't too hot at all), shishito peppers, miso soup, and kimchi fried rice. The latter of the three dishes was served without the requested egg but the food runner was quick to bring it back with it right away. The restaurant has adequate seating and it has a comfortable setting with excellent air conditioning. Used to frequent this spot several years back and I'm glad to see it is still around so gave it a try again this time around and overall I feel like the quality of the food has dropped significantly. In 2026, where consumers are looking at prices more closely than ever, Pubbelly misses the mark. It's not the worst experience, they do have some great cocktail options like the milky way cocktail. And the Japanese fried chicken is juicy and cooked perfect but tastes almost blank. Flavors are definitely not a thing here, prices for the portions you're getting you can get a better deal at several other locations, and lastly the service is questionable at best. The Gyoza was fine but not my favorite. It took a while for the server to come back over to take our actual food order. I did the Crispy Yellowtail Nigiri and Buffalo Rockshrimp Tempura. The Nigiri was good, but the shrimp had blue cheese that was not listed on the menu and was not great. The rest of the food at the table was also hit or miss. The night started off badly when I asked the hostess if they did anything for birthdays. She responded, "I don't know, ask your server when you are sat," which came across rude and disrespectful. Once we were seated, our server did not come over for about 20 minutes. When he finally did, we told him it was my friend's birthday and that we wanted to do something special before she arrived. He brought waters, disappeared, and came back about 10 minutes later so we could finally order drinks. When the drinks came, one was missing. He said he did not have enough hands and had to go get it, but it only came out later after someone else ordered another drink, so it seemed like he simply forgot to ring it in. At that point, we were a party of four, and there was only one other table in the restaurant. After getting our drinks, he disappeared again until we waved him down to order appetizers. He removed the menus even though we had not ordered our meals yet, and all of our waters and drinks were empty. No one checked on us. We had to ask two different people for spicy mayo and soy sauce, and it still took at least five minutes to get the soy sauce. About 30 minutes later, our empty appetizer plates were still on the table, we had no drinks, no menus, and still had not ordered dinner. By then, we had been there for about an hour. Our server only had about four tables, all in the same row, totaling around 12 people, and we were seated right next to the food-running station. Still, no one was paying attention to us. We had to stare him down and raise an empty water glass before he finally came over, dropped off water, and left before we could even say anything. We then waited another 30 minutes while he took every other table's order before ours. When he finally came over, we asked for menus and ordered drinks. The drinks came before the menus, and we waited at least 15 minutes just to get the menus. He finally brought them and disappeared again. When our food came out, our server was nowhere to be found. We had rice and four sushi rolls but no spoons. Thankfully, we still had soy sauce and spicy mayo from the appetizers, because otherwise we probably would not have gotten those either. After waiting about 10 minutes with nothing to eat the rice with, we had to get up and go to the bar to ask for three spoons. After about five minutes, someone who was not our server brought one spoon and asked if we wanted a warm spoon. I said no, we asked for three spoons. Then we waited another five minutes for the other two. We ate dinner, and still no one came over. For about 20 minutes, no one checked on our food, asked if we needed anything, or refilled our waters or drinks. Finally, someone came over, and we asked for boxes, water, and the check. I mentioned again that it was my friend's birthday and asked if they could do anything. We explained that we had already told our server, but we had only seen him about three times, and at that point we had been there for three hours. That person brought the check and filled our waters, then took the check back. Suddenly, our server appeared with a birthday dessert and candle, along with the person we had asked. After that, we waited another 20 minutes and had to ask the bartender for the check. When the check came, we were charged for waters even though we asked for tap water, charged for the birthday dessert, and charged an automatic 18% gratuity for a party of four. I saw the bussers and food runners more than I saw our actual server. He was probably at our table for less than 15 minutes total the entire night and barely did anything beyond taking our order, bringing the check, and dropping off a carafe of water once. I asked to speak with a manager, and the server asked why. I told him respectfully that the service had been very bad. Instead of getting the manager, he took the check, came back after removing one water and adding a 10% discount. I again said I wanted to speak with the manager. He started arguing with me, and I told him I was not going to argue and just wanted to speak with a manager. When the manager came over, we tried to briefly explain what happened because we just wanted to leave, but after hearing everything, she finally adjusted the bill by taking off the appetizer and removing the gratuity. This was honestly the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I am a server myself, and I have been to many restaurants. The food here is very expensive, and this is supposed to be a higher-end restaurant, but unfortunately, the service was far from that. With so many sushi spots in Brickell I am usually not a fan of fusion style sushi with tons of sauce and cream cheese in the rolls but I decided to go into pub belly for happy hour to see what they offer. When was liking in you definitely get those asian vibes with the decor and the low light atmosphere perfect for a date. Above all I can say I was not disappointed with anything I ordered even though I didn't have their sushi. The octopus was cooked to perfection which is not something said lightly. It was tender and juicy and wasn't over cooked and chewy. The short rib dumplings legit blew my mind. Topped with Parmesan cheese to give it a blast of umami that I wouldn't have thought paired together but man was I surprised. The pork belly gyozas were also a big hit in my eyes. Pan fried just enough to have a crispy exterior without ruining the interior. Sitting at the bar the service was great! I like the ambience here... the outdoor seating is cute, but it's generally hot and muggy (they do have some fans but I'm not a fan (pun intended) of my food and I being blown on during meals. The ambiance inside is nice and this place is generally easy to get in and seated quickly, it's the wait and service once you're seated that tends to be a little slow. The drinks here are good, and they do have a decent happy hour, offering a little discount until 7pm on a selection of food and drinks which is nice.. though make sure to check your bill after as the happy hour pricing wasn't reflected so we had to request it be updated. The food here is fine but nothing special really, so I generally just come here when someone else asks to try it when we're already at the mall. I do think the kids meals here are really good though-- the portion is a good size and the options are great. My kids are picky eaters and both ate most of their food, which were healthier options than most places, so that's a win! read more

My friend and I sat at the bar on a Tuesday early evening and were met with some great deals. All the handrolls were $12 and they also had happy hour deals. It was great! My friend couldn't drink any alcohol and asked for a mocktail, when I tell you I wanted to give back my beer and order the same refreshing cucumber concoction is an understatement. Came for dinner with friends to celebrate our friends engagement on a Friday night. We did not have reservations but were accommodated outside as it did not seem so busy that night. We started with a lychee martini which was stiff and perfect. We ordered a few rolls and dumplings to start such as the crispy salmon roll and the short rib & truffle dumplings. The dumplings were amazing. As for service, not sure if it was an off night but the second round of drinks never came, our crispy salmon roll never came as well. For the roll, I had to ask the waiter and even so it took an additional 10 minutes. We had an avocado allergy in the table as asked if one of the rolls can be modified and were told no as they're pre-made which seemed odd the roll took 40 mins to arrive to the table. No biggie though as many of their other rolls do not contain avocado which is nice. As we sat outdoors, it was nice to people watch and feel the cool Miami breeze that night. This sushi spot is one of my favorites, especially on Mondays when all rolls are discounted to $14. I usually order the butter crab roll--it melts in your mouth--along with the Kobe tartare, which is amazing dipped in the egg yolk for an extra boost of protein. For appetizers, I go with edamame, and for dessert, the bread pudding is a standout--unique with just a touch of sesame on the side. The only thing I wish they offered is parking validation. It would make it easier to stay longer and enjoy browsing around City Center without the pressure of high parking costs. Service is average , not great. We might have ordered wrong. The Japanese Fried Chicken was the highlight of what we had. Good portion, fried just right so not dry or over fried, but I wish it had either a spicy or different kind of sauce since the miso mustard sauce didn't really hit the spot. My roll came in second place for overall good taste, but it did take forever to come out and given all the deliveries I saw go out while I was waiting, I think maybe delivery might have been faster. The big eye tuna roll isn't actually a roll - it's tuna on top of crispy rice. Crispy rice is always hit or miss and this time it was too chewy so a miss for us, but the amount of tuna u get might make up for it. I wouldn't recommend the Japanese eggplant - it was plain, not seasoned well and not worth the money. I did enjoy my cocktail but it was pretty small. If I go back, I'll be ordering completely different items to see if we have better luck. Lastly, I really didn't like being seated right next to the cashier because it felt like there was constantly someone hovering over us, so I would recommend not seating there unless there's no other tables available. read more

So, let's start out with the location on Brickell. If you're staying at near Brickell center, there are tons of shops and restaurants inside the outdoor mall. The sushi restaurant is next to a Cuban and Tacoboy location. You definitely have lots of food choices if you visit this location. My service from Andrea was good, the atmosphere was good, the overall vibe for Miami, good. Now let's get into the food! I started off with a Kobe carpaccio, solid very tasty and well worth the $ being charged, even though not egregious, very fair! The Bok choy, was meh. Not a lot of flavor to the dish. If you were to add a little slice roasted garlic and some chili sauce, you'd have a fantastic dish. Moving on to the roll. The roll was mediocre at best. The sushi rice was undercooked and needed more rice wine vinegar. The filling was average at best, and average I mean by going to your local grocery store to grab sushi average. My final dish was the sashimi. I was hoping to have something fantastic to try and elevate my dining experience, but, was above average sashimi. While the presentation and taste was good, the sashimi slices were very small and thin. It would've been much better with a better portion of sashimi for the $ spent. All in all, I don't feel the food was worth the $140 bill, I can get a lot better for less at other locations. If you are looking for a cool spot to hangout and have a great Miami vibe, sure go here, but the food was 3-star and the ambience couldn't make up for it. read more

We ordered three rolls two of the lobster rolls which I would definitely go back again for, it was my absolute favorite and the other one I believe is one of their specialty tuna rolls which was also delicious. I love walking in Brickell and trying new restaurants. We were in the Brickell City Center and saw Pubbelly Sushi. We never tried sushi in Miami so this was a first. This place seemed like a high-end chain restaurant. I am not a Miami local so take my advice on restaurants with a grain of salt. I was able to order it for pickup on Uber Eats. I am not a sushi expert by any means, so I had to base it on the highly rated reviews. The Butter Krab Roll was the highly rated special in Uber Eats. It came on Goma soy paper, kanikama, ponzu, and clarified butter. It was very delicious. You could taste the imitation crab in the roll and enjoy the flavor by dipping it in the sauce. The butter adds a nice bonus to the overall texture. I wish I had two or three more of these so I could be filled up with a large meal. Don't make my mistake and only order one roll. read more
