Just iffy. The staff was great. The food was different. I have never been to a Chinese restaurant that is so skimpy on rice. I received a soup cup of rice and a dish with a lot of sauce. Asked for more rice so the waitress took my half left cup of rice and added some more. Huh? Hubby had Yui Shan beef dinner special and liked it. The special came with a mini eggroll and a fIat, no filling crab puff. I had the Sizzling Hot Chicken and they did prepare it garlic free, much appreciated. Pretty bad. I don't think I've had worse lo-mein, Mongolian beef or orange chicken anywhere else. Lower quality meat and ingredients than the counter serve chains. I thought my orders would be pretty safe but I was wrong. The crazy family was inedible it tasted so bad. Spent $50 and ended up throwing most of it away. My daughter loves orange chicken and would not take more than one bite of it from here. I had to make some frozen food to feed the family. I am a fan of Chiense Cuisine, in fact Chiense food is one of my favorites. We might not have a Chinatown in this city, however, that doesn't mean we don't have delicious and authentic Chinese food in Arizona. The entrée's at China Grill are absolutely delicious.  Without a doubt, one of the best meals that I  have had in a Chinese restaurant.  You won't find stodgy batter, or red dye stained food at China Grill, what you will find is fresh, tasty, made to order delicious meals. On my first visit I went with the Honey chicken, fried rice, egg drop soup, and eggroll. The Honey Chicken was crispy, plump fresh white meat chicken, perfectly seasoned not drowned in sauce. The Honey chicken was probably some of the best honey chicken I have had. The eggroll were crispy, full of flavorful vegetables, and the rice was cooked perfectly. When I finished my meal and pushed my plates away, my check was brought out immediately, along with take-out containers for my leftovers.  a perfect meal, great service, and delicious food. This place is awesome. We love the crab puffs , orange chicken , Mongolian beef. Tonight we had Peking duck and crispy duck. We both enjoyed the Peking duck. The portion was huge enough for both of us. It was delicious. We still had the crispy duck which was good but we liked the Peking best. So next time we will share the Peking. So I might be a spoiled American but I have to say I was definitely disappointed at the portion size I recieved when I ordered my BBQ Pork appetizer. While the strips did taste good they were gone just a little to fast. The eggrolls are decent, not the best ive ever had but definitely edible. My entree was delicious. I ordered the braised bean curd (tofu), which came with some steamed rice and it was very good. The pork fried rice was pretty good too along with the chicken chow mein. Overall I think this place was definitely worth visiting and I'll probably be coming back but its not the kind of place you rave about to all your friends. If your looking for good food and a small businesses family atmosphere this place is for you. I would have to say this is one of the best Chinese food restaurants in Peoria I've been coming here for a few years the food is always good and the employees that work here Know Who You Are and if you don't come for a month or two they give you all kinds of crap for not being around which means that they care that you come my favorite thing is the seafood noodle soup extra spicy. It has shrimp scalps mussels veggies and the broth is so good too bad it wasn't cooler outside or I would have got that today so I got my second favorite thing is there Mongolian beef I like it because it's on the sweet side with a little bit of spice I've never had it like this anywhere else it's wonderful and they're mixing drinks are pretty good too pina colada is really good they take their time to make you happy and give you the best service and pretty good food read more

This was my first visit. I ordered the food to-go. This is a small restaurant and bar. It had a friendly vibe and good smell. The service was excellent. The lady running the front of house was very kind and efficient and had excellent English (not her first language). The Wonton soup was excellent - tasted fresh and hot and the pasta was just cooked perfectly and made with love. The Chicken Potstickers didn't make the 8-mile journey back to my house in good shape. The potstickers were way too soft - not very crispy. The taste would have been great - but the texture was not pleasant. My daughter got shrimp fried rice - it didn't look appetizing at all. The rice looked mushy. She picked the shrimp out of it. The sweet and sour pork would have been A+ if the pork wouldn't have been overcooked. My wife said the sweet sauce was amazing! I got General Tso's Chicken (on their Chef speciality menu). Again - it was over-cooked too. But it was also pretty dry - meaning very little sauce. The sauce tasted good what little there was. The broccoli was super fresh and perfectly cooked. I would go again - but I think I'd prefer to dine-in. read more

This place is awesome! We had been to their old incarnation at the Metro center some 10-15 years back, but never had a chance to come here. So, picked them for the Mother's Day dinner tonight. We all enjoyed the food and a great customer service. They made special vegetarian food for us with no oyster sauce or chicken broth. Fried rice, veggie noodles, and Vegetable Tofu were very fresh and tasty. The tropical punch I had also tasted yummy. Hisako, who attended was very courteous, friendly and patient. Very very affordable. Wasn't a fan of the Mongolian beef or the kung pow, the beef was dry and the chicken was pretty small and didn't have much spice. But I did like the hot and sour soup and the egg rolls. My husband got the hunan chicken and that was really good. Service was amazing everyone here is very polite. They also decorated the place for the holidays, place looks very festive. Their lunch specials come with rice, soup, and a mini egg roll which a great deal! My kids loved it. My family and I have lived in the area for over 20 years and for probably 12 of those years China Grill has been our go-to Chinese food restaurant. The staff is so lovely and always happy to see us and recognize us whenever we walk in. The quality of the food is top notch and delicious. We haven't gotten to eat in store for years now because of the pandemic but whenever we did the food tastes fresh and is always hot and flavorful. The wonton soup is in a broth that I have tried to recreate myself many times and I don't think i ever will. Its just cozy and savory. Hands down, the BEST Chinese food in Arizona. The ingredients are fresh, their egg rolls are not frozen but hand rolled every morning for that day. I really enjoy the lemon chicken, shrimp fried rice, egg rolls and crab puffs. It is tough to find good Chinese food in Phoenix, and when we found this gem, instantly fell in love with the food. We used to live in the area near China Grill but moved and will drive 20-25 mins just to fulfill my cravings! Must Try! read more

We ordered sesame chicken and Mongolian beef. The lo mein was soggy and had no flavor the Mongolian beef was decent but not good. The sesame chicken was terrible it was soggy and it tasted like motor oil (no exaggeration) lol my whole house smells like motor oil now.
