Spring rolls!! Yummy!!
L S.

This is my second visit in 6 mos. I leave in N. Phoenix so it's a bit of a drive. I had the Mongolian beef lunch.. so good. I got the Spring tolls too. So yummy! Real Fresh vegetables not that white pasty filling many Chinese restaurants are using to fill spring rolls. Everything tasted so good. I wish I lived closer I'd be here several times a week! The rice was fresh and very hot. The Mongolian beef had the rice noodles and lite garnish of green onion- the way it's supposed to be!! And the beef was so good. Too many Chinese restaurants are using the cheap glued beef but not here!! I will be driving over more often!!! Very clean restaurant. Very friendly and helpful servers too. China Grill is amazing. I will definitely be back with friends!! Please don't change anything because you have a good thing going here!! I HIGHLY recommend!! A Oh, prices are really affordable!! Please go try China Grill!!

Grabbed some takeout from China Grill for dinner one night. Service was quick, the inside during pickup was clean and the food was delicious! We picked up an order of teriyaki chicken, orange chicken and an egg roll. The chicken on both was great and not full of fat or weird. The flavors were perfect. The egg roll was stuffed and served with a house made hot mustard. It was so good with the sweet and sour. Overall, a great stop for a Chinese food fix. Great food, big portions for your money!

I score on the food first. Atmosphere is typical for a local Chinese restaurant. Most importantly it was kept clean enough. Food and service were great. That excites me since I don't know of many good Chinese restaurants. We only had two dishes off the lunch menu. I ordered the chicken curry with dark meat which came with soup and an egg roll. We tried the hot and sour soup which was very tasty. The egg roll was really one of the best I have had in a long time. My curry dish was so good that my husband ended it up wanting more of mine. He ordered the beef and broccoli bowl which we felt had very good flavor. For the same price ($8.99) I felt my lunch plate was the better deal. I look forward to bringing my family back.

My mom and 9 yr old loves it too

This place is the best in the west valley. Everyone here is awesome and the food it amazing. I am not a Chinese foodie at all and I am very picky. Even the eggrolls are on point. And they have Tsingtao. They also deliver to my house and its so nice to see the same delivery guy all the time.

Very good, very delicious, served fast. They are very attentive to their clientele and I never need to wait for my iced tea to be refilled. (I love that) portions are large and it's a quaint little place. Highly recommended to anyone who loves Chinese food.

Was in the mood for some comfort food after a day of work. Found they had decent reviews, so decided to stop in. Ordered a Kirin Ichiban beer and the chicken foo yuh dinner and swapped out the fried rice with plain steamed rice and a side of lo mein. Food was good considering it was in Phoenix.

Twice cooked shrimp, Fried Rice, egg roll, and sweet & sauce.

Not the best or the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. We only go there to meet with friends. They fed us off of paper plates today.

Very nice folks. If they had t-shirts we would have bought it. Great small business. Inside was clean. Chairs were very comfortable. Eating utensils are one of my pet peeves. Plates cups and silverware were clean. I highly recommend visiting Big Hengs!

I have given SO MUCH BUSINESS TO THIS PLACE! However their customer service is absolute TRASH!!!…read more I recently went to have dinner with my 70 year old mother, my 8 year old son and my husband. We walked into a COMPLETELY EMPTY restaurant. There was a man folding napkins and he said "sit anywhere!" Ooookay, so we sat at a booth, the RUDE waitress comes over to take our orders, "what you wanna order!?" Super aggressive! We order our usual. During that time I realized that it would be easier to eat at a round table so we could use the lazy Susan in the middle to easily reach our food. So we got up and we're going to move when the man who was folding napkins said "no! Wait for your waitress!" Waitress comes back and literally YELLED at us! Saying, "no!!! Sit at the booth!!" I tried explaining that the table would be too small and she continued to yell at me. I was on the verge of tears and didn't understand why she was so upset. Since we did not eat or drink anything, my husband said "let's go!" So we excused ourselves and left. The man folding napkins stood up and ran to the exit and started recording us. Not only was I scared, but my son started crying and my 70 year old mother began wheezing and breathing fast... they literally ran out of the restaurant as we were getting into our car and kept yelling & recording! I used to order $150-200 food EVERY MONTH!!! However we ALWAYS did pick up. Had I known how TERRIBLE THEIR SERVICE IS, I would neeeeeever have contributed to them!!! Absolutely horrible horrible hooooorible service! DO NOT GO HERE!! There are plenty other places to eat with better service!!! Huge pass and will never ever eeever return

Their food is consistently the same no matter how busy it is, most recently during a heavy dinner hour - prime time. Yes, expect to wait, we started the 30 plus wait time out side and then inside in the small waiting area. It's not fancy by any means. TVs with a game on, servers moving about, and a steady stream of to go orders. We had King Pao Chicken, Beef with broccoli and Mongolian Beef. Also Wongs fried rice & appetizer plate and soups. I had hot & sour soup, absolutely delicious, a little spicy as it should be. My Mongolian Beef was probably the best prepared, very tender beef and flavorful I've had, and always consistently the same each visit. The other entrees severed were equally flavorful, tender meats and served fresh & hot. Servers are kind and knowledgeable of each dish and offer suggestions of their favorites. The seating area is in need of updating but very clean, as are the restrooms. But it's about the quality, quantity & consistency that keeps me returning. Just go!

The chicken in our dishes was masterfully moist and very tender. The food is a very good value if you like it. We ordered the yui shan chicken and the garlic chicken combos (only around $1. more to get soup, crab puff, egg roll and an upgrade from white rice to fried rice.) Based on only trying two dishes my conclusion is that they serve Arizona Style American Chinese Food. It is far less complex, less flavorful, and much less spicy than east coast American take out Chinese Food. It's not bad food in anyway so if you are from Arizona it is very good food. We started eating at the restaurant but I got the idea that I could take the food home and improve it for my taste. The food stayed piping hot and it did taste much better with just a spoonful of chili crisp added more flavors and some needed heat. The people working there seemed very nice and the restaurant looked sparkling clean. 3 stars is a positive review and means A-OK on Yelp. I ventured inside on this lovely Sunday, noting a delightfully serene dining room with only a few select patrons present. I was instantly received by a charming young woman at the counter who extended a remarkably friendly greeting. While my initial impression of the layout was conservative, the hospitality quickly evolved into something genuinely impressive. They also feature a beautifully appointed small bar that crafts cocktails, which adds a sophisticated touch. I escorted myself to an excellent table and requested a bowl of Egg Drop Soup to enjoy while engaging in a brief, lovely conversation with the attentive staff. The preparation was entirely satisfactory. While the interior architecture and decor are not quite as grand in scale as I had initially envisioned, the aesthetic is tastefully curated and not bad at all. For my main course, I selected the Mongolian Beef from the menu a splendid choice, and beautifully priced at $14.85. The gentleman assisting us throughout the afternoon was an absolute credit to the establishment, executing his duties with flawless precision. When the entrée arrived, the flavor profile and presentation left me completely satisfied. Between the exemplary service and the delicious culinary execution, it was an absolute treat. For whatever reason, Chinese restaurants in Arizona serve egg hockey pucks and cover it with various items and call it egg foo young. I even asked about it before I ordered it. Alas when I got home and saw what I had, I was disappointed. It's faster to make it this way but the egg hockey puck had no taste - zero. They could have at least added oyster sauce, a little soy sauce, maybe nam plah, and perhaps sesame oil. It was tasteless. A complete miss. I also ordered something simple, shrimp spring rolls. They were delicious! I inhaled them and will order them again. I'd go again just for the spring rolls. Maybe they have other dishes that are good and I may not entirely give up but the egg foo young is a no go.
