UPDATE: I dont know what happened to my other review of this place, but I wanted to update my experience from today as it was very different than the first. The last time I was here I had a decent experience so I decided to give it another try. I order the Garlic Chicken which I have ordered before so I was confident with my selection. When I got home and opened the bag, Garlic Chicken was not what I got. It was pail white chicken that was covered in a milky white nasty looking slim. The sauce was gelatinous and physically displeasing. My husband encouraged me to at least give it a try and I was punished for that effort. Not more than 10 minutes after eating I had this horrible pain in my stomach and felt physically nauseated. My husband hasn't had a reaction but I should have known better. Very discouraging experience. We will not be back. read more

I called and ordered my food for pick up. Got everything home, fixed my plate and had no idea that the underside of the egg foo young was burnt. It was salty on top of that. I called to make them aware. I didn't ask for a refund, I told the woman I just wanted them to know. She screamed at me and then hung up. Ordered a take out for New years and and was over all impressed with the quality of the food, accuracy of the order of more then $60, store cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff. My only disappointment was the orange chicken which is normally my favorite choice on the menu. The flavor was not the issue, rather the chicken itself was hard and dry. I wouldn't order that again unless I could get a sample prior to purchase that showed that as a one off and not their normal quality. I used to work at Pats Pizza in Middletown next to the Shing Kwong. Fast forward almost 7 years later and I was asked if I ate this place. I didn't even know it existed because its tucked away in a corner of a shopping center. I came to try it out one day and the people inside recognized me. They are the same people from Shing Kwong. The employees are very friendly and the food is awesome. I wish they served pizza rolls like they do in Middletown. They actually started to serve them for me but since it wasn't on their menu they didn't sell we'll. It may not be "to die for" food but the friendliness is well worth it. read more

Completely mediocre and predictable Chinese food. I did get sick there once--I think. Felt unwell the day after eating there. The former owner was a retired exec chef from NYC but had to return to China due to family issues (big earthquake hit his family's city.) Sadly, the new owners apparently have a string of mediocre American-style Chinese food and this is no different. The usual General Tso, Kung Pao, etc. No better, no worse, no ambience. Cheap enough. Really happy with the quality of the chinese food here. Is it super "authentic" - no, but I'm sure if you asked, they're pleasant enough to probably customize any dish you want. It's seriously decent standard American/Chinese food that exists all over the US. But the food is fast and tasty. My favorite chinese food? It's Sang Kee in Philadelphia or Peking Duck in Chinatown/NYC. On this side of town? It's the best chinese - not too greasy, served quick and 'just right'. You're treated well as a customer - something I wish there was more of in Dthe Dover area. I probably eat here 2-3x a month, having tried No 1 and Jade Garden? FULL of MSG - They do not understand or care about their using MSG in their food. After just having a stroke I thought I was safe asking no msg? answer: no msg! Was full of MSG. He got chicken with broccoli the chicken was so grisly he couldn't eat any of it. I also had crab and cheese wontons they were so sweet you couldn't eat them. If I could give zero stars for this place I would. This is the single worst Chinese food place I've ever been to. I ordered the Curry Beef and Onions and the Mongolian Beef. When I got home and opened the food both of the dishes were 90% vegetables. The majority of which weren't even part of the dish descriptions. The Mongolian Beef didn't even look like the picture they used for the online ordering system. What little beef actually made it into the dishes was slimy and didn't even taste like actual beef. When I went back to the restaurant to get my money back (not even 10 minutes later) they had locked their doors despite all their lights still being on. I tried calling and was sent to voicemail even after it rang meaning they declined my call. I'm almost positive that most of their reviews are fake. I wish I had seen a truly honest review like my own before I wasted nearly $40 on practically inedible food that had to be tossed. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

We ordered the beef and broccoli and I am extremely confident when I say that did not taste like beef. I have no idea what the meat was but it was disgusting. Completely inedible. It was fatty and had a strange taste. We also ordered Lo Mein and I believe the cabbage they used was old or there Lo Mein was old. We spent almost $50 and could eat hardly any of it.
