Meh. I'm still on the hunt for our go to Chinese delivery. The day I find one, I will be sure to write a wonderful review. The food here was definitely better than dot wo, who we ordered from last week. The food arrived nice and hot. The egg rolls were ok. They seemed to be missing something with the filling. The vegetable lo me in I had was a little salty. The sweet and sour chicken and the sesame chicken we fine. Not spectacular but, just fine. If we had to chose between dot wo or China House... I always base my new restaurant eats off of the reviews but i guess i didn't go down far enough. This place time was nasty. I couldn't eat the Lo mein because of the odd taste. This clean and friendly little place was used by most customers for take-out, but there were about six tables for dine-in also. The menu read like most Chinese restaurants. However, what we found outstanding was the freshness of the vegetables and the unique flavors to each dish. The portions were very reasonable also for the price. I ordered beef and broccoli lunch combo and it was really good!! The price was pretty cheap too. The combo comes with egg role, entre, and friend rice. I ordered from these guys all the time and have never had a problem with delivery. The food isn't the best but it gets the job done, it's never been bad enough to stop eating there. However after the service I got today, I'm afraid lack lustre food won't be enough to keep my business. I can only assume that they hired a new person to answer the phones who can just about speak English and also has a bad attitude. I placed my usual order and she tells me they can't deliver because it doesn't meet the '$20 minimum delivery fee'. Well I've never had this problem before and it's always been a $12 minimum. Then, as I am trying to explain this to her she gets an attitude with me and says 'do you want to order or not? I have other customers, hurry up.' (Oh and I should mention suddenly that her English got much better while she was rude to me). So I did the normal thing and asked to speak to a manager so I could place my order and clear up the miscommunication, but she hung up on me so I couldn't complain about her. Good fast cheap, what's not to like? Garlic chicken with a little heat and plenty of veg was solid. Good pork fried rice and a crunchy eggroll all for a little over 5 bucks is outstanding. Place is clean and you can watch them cook your food. Will be back. read more

I ordered the lunch special roast pork with broccoli with fried rice and an egg roll. For 4.99! It's a great price but keep in mind that you don't get as large a portion as other places. I though the lunch portion was a perfect size. It's filling but not so filling as to put you in a food coma in the afternoon. I'm not a big fan of the roast pork egg rolls. I could do without one next time. The roast pork itself was great! Nice and tender and juicy. I've never seen it on a menu before at a place that doesn't primarily cater to the Chinese. Good evening. Today I come to you from my apartment, a place where I find no challenge in gathering my thoughts and coming to a final conclusion on matters such as this. In my apartment you will find a small brown in color clock hanging on the wall adjacent to my dining room table. The clock seems to be broken, the big hand never moving away from the 3, and the little hand holding it's ground on the number 9. The two hands form a near perfect straight line, sparing the small divit at the point where the two hands meet in the center. The positioning of these hands may seem to hold no significance, simply a 'broken clock' some might say, one that may need it's batteries replaced. I could replace the batteries, it would be no challenge for me. You see, I hung the clock up myself, marking a spot on the wall that was not too high for me to reach, but at the same time not too low for me to meet eye level. The clock was placed symmetrically in the very middle of the wall, within the room that I consider to be the very middle of the apartment. Symmetry is important in life. You see, no one appreciates a clock that is placed a little far to the left, or a little far to the right. No one stops and stares in awe at a clock that is placed too low to the ground, or too high to the sky. However, a clock that is placed perfectly in the middle of it's backdrop is a clock that will draw attention towards it. The reason why I refuse to replace the batteries in this clock is the very same reason why I continue to commute to China House on Sooner for my Chinese food cravings.. Perfection. Entering through the front door I am consistently greeted with the kindest of smiles. The atmosphere is always extremely inviting, the name "China House" can almost be taken quite literally, this place is a home. The cashier is always happy to take my order, I always seem to notice the quirky little pins all the workers wear on the right side of their shirts, a pin that says "Momento Mori". This pin is placed perfectly in the middle of the workers right breast pocket. As I said before, symmetry is important and this place takes pride in the symmetry of not only their food, but their work uniforms as well. Much like the clock in my dining room, positioned perfectly, and the hands striking the 3 and 9 forming a perfect line, this restaurant continues to impress me every day with it's near perfection in service and quality, and I will not be taking my business elsewhere anytime soon. read more

First visit to this restaurant. The lunch special here is very cheap! It was around $5 for an item and it goes from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. I ordered the Shrimp with Lobster sauce. I was thinking of Lobster sauce as just a sauce. It turns out to be a soup-like dish with rice. That wasn't what I was looking for, but it was pretty good either way. During this particular visit, there were a couple kids sitting at the table playing with their toys. I guess the workers didn't have anyone to babysit or take care of the kids for them so they had to stay at the restaurant. I felt a bit bad for the kids having to be at the restaurant all day. I don't think this restaurant have any AC. I was planning to dine in but then it got too hot so I told them I wanted the food to go. That explains why most of the orders I saw here was to go. Came here for lunch. They have an app where you can order from and is very easy to use. I was definitely impressed with the ordering system. You can pay their or pay online. When I got there I didn't have to wait, they had my order ready to go. The food was pretty dang good for the price. The lunch combo is around $6 bucks and a large soup for about $4. I want to be specific that I'm reviewing the China House on Sooner Rd, in Del City. I never ate there before, but I called in for delivery last night and had the Seafood Delight with steamed rice. It was superb!!! I also got a small order of the Beef Lo Mein and it was very, very good, also. I actually woke up dreaming about the leftovers in the fridge. :-) The delivery was very prompt and much shorter time than they quoted and I live on the opposite side of Del City from them. I don't know anything about authentic Chinese food, I just know their food was delicious and the service was great! I will definitely order from them again. And they deliver after dark! read more
