I got the general chicken and it was sooo gummy. There was not one piece that tasted like a firm chunk of chicken. It's also so stringy that you can even get it down. I also ordered a crab Rangoon and they didn't even include it. They were quick with getting my order out though! read more

Came here for lunch with co workers. Was seated right away and drink orders were taken. Once we received our drinks our food orders were taken. All the food was great, nice and hot and seemed fresh. The only issue was that they didn't bring everyone's food out together so some people were done eating almost when others were just getting their food. This place was recommended to us. So we ordered take out. I got the shrimp, hubby got the spicy chicken. We weren't overly thrilled by his, mine had more flavor. It's not like some places that are super greasy. Seemed like they used more broth/flavor. The veggies were crunchy and fresh. Decided to post because I've never reviewed it and honestly, it should be top 5 in the greater KC area. This place is so fresh, so clean, and I won't eat any other Chinese in the northland. The service is stellar, they treat you like family. We ate here for Christmas dinner one year, my whole family loves it. They have sushi and traditional Chinese food, there is something for everyone at this restaurant. They give out the most fantastic lime creamsicles for dessert! Did you read that? Read it again, these folks are like the Chick-fil-A of Chinese. Order Ramune sodas for the kids, they'll love them. My dad is the quintessential Chinese food connoisseur and this is one his favorite places to eat when in town. Give this place a try before they move into a bigger location and you can say you started going there when....the place is almost always packed, except on Christmas, that's our day so stay away. read more

Well, I had to be out and about this evening, so I decided to stop at a place that is new to me. Real close to home is a Chinese place that I've never tried. Parking the car, I stroll up to the door and step inside the China Hut. Looking over the menu I decide on an appetizer of Club Rangoon and an entree of Cashew Shrimp. The Club Rangoon was crunchy with a creamy center and a lot of good flavor. The Cashew Shrimp was savory with perfectly juicy and tender shrimp, the vegetables were fresh and crunchy with a yummy nuttiness provided by the cashews. All in all, a very good and tasty meal! My first time I went here I noticed as I entered The inside of restaurant it needed a cleaning/vacuum the floors & rugs were very dirty! Which I should have took heed and left then! I ordered the shrimp fried rice & crab Rangoon which is only cream cheese & has no crab meat. The food was hot! The rice was berry BLAND & not all fried dark color to it a lot of it was still white so you have to add soy sauce & some seasoning at home. It comes with veggies like onions peas carrots supposed to be 10 large shrimp & egg but it was only 7 shrimp & a couple small pieces of egg which I asked for and paid extra for eggs they ripped me off on that! crab Rangoon were overly fried and wayy too crunchy! we called & placed a DELIVERY order on Friday 4/5/24 this was our last time! a long dark hair in the shrimp fried rice with NO EGG & horrible General Taos chicken very disgusting, hard huge chunks of meat and Pepsi with an expiration date of 4/8/24 it was flat hot & nasty.... called them IMMEDIATELY & they gave me a whole attitude "so your just going to complain" yes I am we spent $40 on trash food come back and pick it up they told me bring it back NO YOU DELIVERED IT SO COME GET IT! they said nothing was wrong with the drink or food lol how you gone tell us what we seen & tasted, if that was the case josh who hung up in my face would have not returned my $40 the next day 4/6/24 & picked up the food untouched still box full of trash food & I'm sure they heated it up & sold it to another customer they didn't throw it away nasty people like them don't want to lose any $ & I left it out all night on my counter as they told me they would come pick it up the next day & did! I would rate this restaurant a -20/10 it's not worth talking about! Rude customer service food is TRASH they definitely have a certain type of fan base with no taste. Their waitstaff is wonderful as is their large menu. They have both Chinese and Japanese items. I don't know the difference between gyoza and potstickers but the research would be delicious! A Christmas Eve tradition continues! Easy online ordering makes takeout a snap! Website is easy to navigate. Menu and ordering process was simple and fast. Staff were friendly and attentive as we arrived to pickup our order. The ordering site didn't share a time to get the order. But it was hot and ready when we arrived 15-20 minutes after placing the ticket. Ordered General's Chicken with fried rice, chicken lo mein and one order of steamed dumplings. Servings were plentiful. We had more than enough for leftovers. Dumplings were magnificent. Fresh, hot and flavorful. Served with a teriyaki dipping sauce. Chicken lo mein could have used more veggies. General's Chicken was more mild than other Chinese restaurants, even with two chilis in the order. I would definitely return or order takeout from this business again. At pickup, there was plenty of open seating with the co-business, China Hut Sushi Lounge. A expansive sushi menu was at the register. Another business we'll want to explore. read more

Ordered pickup off their website through the link provided, and they claim that they didn't receive my order. They still charged me almost $20 and yet I left with no food. Instead of helping at all they just kept asking to charge my card again. Their customer service skills were absolutely useless and I could not get a refund. My only option was to reorder the food I had already paid for (I didn't do so I left hungry). Don't order food off their website, or maybe just don't order their food at all. There are many better places you can go for shitty greasy chinese food that won't double charge you, or refuse to give you the food you were charged for. read more

So, you'd never know it, but this place is a Chinese-Japanese fusion restaurant. Half of it is takeout, the other is a sushi bar. You can get either or both! We walked in about 9pm on a Saturday night and there were 2 other tables in the restaurant. We were seated by a child whose mother was working there (owner?). About 20 mins later, a disinterested teenager came to take our order. About 30 mins after that, we got our food, courtesy of the same small child. She was probably 8 or 9 years old. The food was good-we ordered sushi and were not disappointed. The waitress dropped the check with half a smile and walked away. I was pretty weirded out that this kid was serving tables while her mom was making sushi. This isn't the first time I've been here, but every time, I wonder why I keep coming back. Is it the overpriced sushi rolls? The ability to get Chinese lo mein with your gyoza? I dunno. I'll probably be back. I'll let you know what happens. read more

My waitress was wonderful and so was the sushi chefs. Before I had even received my Miso soup, the chef was handing the waitress a complimentary small plate of pepper tuna to give me. I'm not sure if this is done with all customers, but what a great way to start a positive interaction. The soup was good but the pepper tuna was out of this world with flavor. I then ordered the Philadelphia roll and 3 piece scallop sashimi. All very fresh and tasty. I kept the pepper tuna marinade for dipping instead of using soy sauce. I will be back soon. read more
