Which led me to grab soMe takeout from China Feast. I started with the egg drop soup. Egg drop soup is a huge comfort food to me and theirs definitely hit the mark. It was rich and salty and yummy. There were little bitty pieces of bamboo and water chestnuts which I didn't mind and were bonus texture. For an entree I got the beef and broccoli with fried rice. The beef was tender and had a lot of flavor. The broccoli was nice and crisp, not soggy. The sauce was super garlicky and had a lot of flavor. I would definitely order this again. The fried rice was a fail. It was pretty much just regular rice doused in soy sauce. I didn't pay extra for it so that was good because I would have been a little miffed if I had. I was able to try the general tsos chicken and it was also delicious. Nice chunks of white meat. There was a lot of sauce which did make it slightly soggy but not enough that I wouldn't order it in the future. We also tried the crab Rangoon, egg rolls, and spring rolls. I'm not a huge spring roll fan but these were good. They had big chunks of shrimp which was a nice surprise. The crab Rangoon was really good. It was a bit sweet but not like dessert sweet. It has a nice flavor and they don't skimp on the cream cheese. The egg roll was my favorite. It was crispy, golden, and full of cabbage and other goodness. I think everyone is going to have mixed reviews on this restaurant because it doesn't look super inviting. However, I absolutely do love this business! I enjoy that the portions are generous for the price and the quality is great as well. My husband and I get 2 meals usually with crab Rangoon and it's under $30 and we have leftovers for 2 days. I love that you can use the drive thru to order food and they are always super fast and efficient. We will continue to support this business! Convenient, consistent, and pretty good! It's your classic Chinese takeout, nothing crazy. Pretty good prices ($28 for 2 entrees plus 2 egg rolls) and huge portions. All the entrees come with rice and a crab Rangoon, so for me personally it's a solid two meals worth of food. A favorite is the Curry Chicken, super flavorful with just a lil spice. If you want cheap and delicious Chinese food, then China Feast is the place for you! I absolutely love this location. The drive through only aspect makes it extremely easy to pick up some food on the way home. I always order the chicken fried rice, and I love that i don't have to park and go inside. The food is so delicious every time! The fried rice is always so flavourful, and the chicken is soft. Unlike many places, the food isn't greasy at all. Perfect place to go if you want some classic Midwest Chinese food. When I get Chinese food, there are certain things that need to be really good. Chicken fried rice is one. It needs chicken, onion, green onions, carrots/peas, and egg. This place does that! And the chicken is thigh meat so it's not dry or chewy and it warms up great. Dumplings are the next thing I judge a restaurant on. Now I will say their fried dumplings are deep fried, not pan fried which is not my favorite. But the steamed dumplings are perfect. Thin dumpling wrapper, perfect amount of cabbage and meat. Good even without the dipping sauce! Crab Rangoons are great too. Lastly, egg drop soup. This place's egg drop soup is fire. They use a lot of black pepper, lot of eggs, perfect amount of thickener, and they have a little something extra: tiny bamboo shoots and water chesnuts for crunch. I love it. read more

I just ordered some combination lo-mein which to me gives one of the best chances for a Chinese restaurant to showcase their quality. A simple dish, but when done right gives you an impression of what each of their meat products is like and preps you for future orders. This is one of the few locations I have tried here that manages to utterly make me regret my order on every level. The noodles are thick spaghetti noodles instead of traditional lo-mein noodles that are overcooked and the meat inside the dish tastes cheaper than what you'd find on a 6 dollar buffet minus at least having tasty sauce. The sweet & sour shrimp was alright. They batter and fry the shrimp, and then they give you a bowl of sweet & sour sauce to dip it in. That was really odd, but it wasn't too bad! The set it on green peppers, onions, and pineapples, and gave you a side of fried rice. We paid $20 total. For both of the entrees, they give you a crab rangoon! Don't be turned off by the fact that this place is a drive-thru Chinese restaurant!! They have THE BEST Chinese food in Kansas City. Everything is cooked fresh, but yet you never have to sit in the drive thru for very long. They give you HUGE portions of food, and most meals come with a crab rangoon. Try the fried chicken wings. They are HUGE. Each meal is usually never more than $8, making it cheaper than most Chinese spots around town. I almost always have leftovers because the portions are so big. read more

For a drive-thru Chinese joint, this place does serve some adequate quality American style Chinese food. They have cheap specials like 5.99 chicken fried rice which they give you a huge load of. Anything with orange sauce though I think they load way too much sauce in. Sometimes it leaks out of the container but I think they revamped their containers to make it look more nice and professional which is a nice upgrade. Despite having a hole-in-the-wall appearance, the food served here has never failed to taste fresh and delicious. I've tried a few items from here, but my favourite is the Curry Chicken and their Crab Rangoon is so delicious! General Tso's Chicken is always a little too sweet for my liking, but I actually really enjoyed it from here. They give you a piece of Crab Rangoon with every meal, as well as a fortune cookie and soy sauce. If you like your food spicy, make sure you ask them for their chili oil sauce. It's so good!
