The restaurant is very small, with only seven tables and two waitresses. We were seated quickly, and our meals came out fast. The service is efficient, but the décor feels outdated and a bit cheap. The food overall is very delicious. However, the gyoza was disappointing. We requested it fried, but it came out pan‑fried instead. The wrapper was thick--great for steaming, not frying--so we didn't enjoy that dish. One of our pet peeves was how tight they were with napkins. Each person only gets one napkin rolled with the fork and knife. When I asked for more, they handed us cheap take‑out napkins instead of the regular ones. If the restaurant is going to be tight with napkins, then I can be tight with tips as well. read more

I have been eating at dragon best for a long time. We eat in occasionally but usually get carry out or delivery. They are always accommodating with keeping fish and vegetable sushi separate and they always have fresh food. I only eat vegetable sushi and they always have great options. Food is really good here! I had gotten carryout once before, and this was the first time I had eaten in the restaurant. Surprisingly at 1 pm it was pretty busy and we got the last table. One of the tables was very loud and made it hard for my friend and I to have a decent conversation without yelling. The restaurant is small, the atmosphere is that of a strip mall chinese restaurant. The food was really good. The lunch specials we got, as well as them providing me with a mix of Egg Drop & Wonton Soup. I wasn't super happy they charged me an extra $1 for that as it doesn't take much effort to get a bowl of Egg Drop Soup and add 3 wontons to it, but so be it. My friend got an eggroll instead of the soup and it was so incredibly greasy. The oil dripped off of it, it certainly wasn't degreased before leaving the kitchen. I would have said something if I had gotten the egg roll instead of the soup. I ended up getting the Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, medium spicy and my friend got the Cashew Chicken, which she enjoyed. We also ordered a Golden Dragon Roll to share and she ordered two pieces of Salmon Nigiri, which looked and tasted delicious. This place used to be good but not anymore. I can't believe they actually expected us to eat this food. The sweet and sour shrimp was overcooked and burnt, chewy and hard. Definitely inedible. The egg roll tasted oily and stale, like it was premade and warmed up. The tofu was disgusting, like a big blob of tastelessness. Do yourself a favor and order from somewhere else. I threw away the entire order. I placed the order from DoorDash and won't be using their services anymore either. My order was almost $60 and they only gave me back a credit for $24. If I do happen to order from here again, it will be in complete desperation, with no where else to eat. read more

It seems a very popular carry-out destination, but we typically eat in. We often do carry out orders from Dragon Best.  Sometimes we eat in.  The food has always been okay until recently. On Feb. 24th at 6:15 pm we picked up our $95.00 carry out order of sushi and some Chinese dishes. The egg drop soup was absolutely tasteless. The Hunan chicken lacked flavor too. The sushi was okay. The tempura vegetables were tasteless. My mother thinks it's possible they have a new cook or perhaps on that day - no cook. Now I am hesitant to order again until I get some feedback from others or from the restaurant. I can see that the restaurant has not claimed this Yelp page - not a good sign either because it indicates a lack of care. If they had claimed the page, they would get notifications when people leave reviews. Somebody please let me know this was a freak situation. I want to go back and support this restaurant. read more

Dragonfly roll is prob a top fav and eel roll with added spicy mayo. I was excited to try the sunrise roll, but it tasted pretty fishy. Since I don't taste the fishy flavor in any of the other rolls we've ordered before my best guess is the yellowtail isn't good. I still think this place is a decent place and will likely go again. Small casual dining restaurant. The service was prompt and the food was alright. Not delicious but not gross either. Meh. The bathrooms were clean. The place looks really dated. General Tso's chicken looked delicious however it was a little tougher than I expected. The biggest thing was the fact that each and every time the delivery boy walked by me to or from the kitchen (which was a lot as it was the dinner rush) he tapped the back leg of my chair or brushed up against the back of my chair. Other employees did it too. They did so without so much as an excuse me or an apology. I was going to give this place three stars but actually that type of service is unacceptable. Maybe they could move the table towards the center of the dining room by an inch or two but the place is so small that I don't know where it would fit. Dragon Best became my favorite local Chinese food restaurant after trying many others first after moving to the area. It's actually the closest to me, but its tucked away in a shopping center where it's difficult to notice. Menu is extensive, including Japanese dishes and sushi. Good lunch and dinner specials. All the Chinese food staples are very good - make sure to order white meat chicken. My standby favorite is the Orange Chicken white meat. Sushi is as good as some Japanese restaurants with a good selection of rolls and a couple of special rolls that I really like. Try the Rock'n'roll or Double Spicy Tuna roll. I always get takeout here because it is so close by. Never have I dined in or ordered delivery so I can't comment on that, but my orders have always been filled in a timely manner and there's rarely ever been a mistake. read more

One of my go to Chinese restaurants. I've tried the generous tso's chicken with white meat, their lo main, shrimp chow mei fun- delicious! My only complaint is their spring rolls. When I think of spring rolls, I'm thinking of the smaller then egg roll wrapping as well as the filling. But they are as big as egg rolls and not that tasty then what I'm used to. This is probably my favorite take out in Pikesville! There sushi is so fresh and there Chinese food gives large portions! If you are looking for a healthy sushi option my go to is the Jennifer Salad. It is amazing and leaves you feeling satisfied. They have great miso and wonton soup as well. The only thing is that it is definitely a take out place. This place was phenomenal despite the other most recent review. They have really good duck, tofu dishes, egg rolls, wonton soup.... And other chinese food dishes. They also have a byob policy which is nice considering their is a nice wine shop next store. I usually get moscato but it all depends on what your in the mood for. There is also a nice yogurt place next door too which is good for dessert just in case you have a craving after your meal or maybe u would like something for the kids. The business has apparently changed hands. The quality of the food has declined and is, at-best, average. The fried rice? Over oily, no mixed-in veggies or pork, just limp over-greasy rice. The egg rolls are no longer crispy and a mice mix of green and pork. Just recently my take out order was incorrect, I understand mistakes happen, when I asked for a credit the manager said it was my mistake in a very rude way. Continuously have ordered take-out and have been absolutely impressed. I love their Sesame, Orange, and Lemon Chicken orders. The chicken always has a crispy, delicious breading on top of tender, moist breast meat. I haven't eaten at a better Chinese/Japanese or Sushi place on the east coast. read more
