This is my favorite Chinese take out in Palm Coast. It really is NY style and that is indeed a compliment. The seafood meals are very fresh and better than what you would expect from take out. The meals are better than the appetizers which is opposite of most Chinese take out but the apps are OK. When you've eaten at one of the best fast-food Chinese restaurants ever, it's truly hard to compare one meal to another but here goes. We got 2 lunches to go (why they charge extra for white rice I'll never know), one was the Sesame Chicken and the other was Bourbon Chicken. For $6.75 you can get lunch consisting of brown rice (full of onions and peas), your main dish (in this one Sesame Chicken) and a can of soda. I have to admit his Sesame Chicken tasted pretty good. It was moist and had just enough sauce to make it tasty. The Bourbon Chicken, however, was a huge disappointment. There wasn't enough sauce on it and there was no coating so it wasn't deep fried. If they had put more sauce on it, it might've been salvageable, but all-in-all, it was pretty blah. Not enough sauce and just plain-tasting. They're still serving only at the window and believe it or not, no one was wearing a mask; not the order-taker nor the cook. Due to that reason alone we will never return. If you like blah lunches, this is your place. If you find this helpful, please give me a thumbs up. By the way, they call this New York Style Chinese Take out. Maybe that means "bad." read more

We have gotten take out there many times. Their chicken and vegetables is delicious. Great semi-healthy quick meal, with leftovers to boot! Have had fried rice a bit undercooked once or twice, but overall, great tasting food at fair prices. We recommend them. read more

I just ordered take out from here and it was definitely below average quality food. The online menu was completely wrong so they didn't have a couple items I wanted and the items they did have were nothing special. I definitely will not be ordering from here again. Bland and greasy are the two best descriptions I can give of the food over all. It was also over priced IMO considering the food quality. read more

I tried this place because I live locally and have tried several other Chinese restaurants I was not happy with. Unfortunately, this one is in the category with the rest of them. We had 3 separate orders and none of us was happy with any of them. Suffice it to say, if you're from up north, I guess it's just impossible to find good Chinese food in Palm Coast, even though there are a ton of them. IF you like dark, thigh meat chicken that's sometimes chewy, then this will be your place. I couldn't hack it. My bourbon chicken tasted nothing like I've had it before when I had it at other places. I had chicken fried rice and there were big pieces of chicken in there that I didn't like the taste of either. People at the counter were absolutely wonderful, but unfortunately I won't be back. We grabbed takeout on a whim based on Yelp reviews. Dinner was better than you're average Chinese takeout joint. The kitchen and waiting area appeared clean and the employees/owners were friendly. The chicken was 'clean' if you know what I mean. The breading was thin on the general tso's which may or may not be your preference. I love this place. The food is always fresh, fast and hot. The lady up front always remembers me. Favorites vegetable egg foo young, chicken kung pao, orange beef, beef and broccoli, chicken and veggies, the list goes on and on. I have yet to get a bad meal. China King in Palm Coast used to be the place to go up until 2 years ago something changed. Their food isn't very good anymore almost like they changed cooks. The food isn't good by way of flavor anymore. Also getting sick twice made me figure out it was them. They do not change the oil in their fryer as often as they should. They said every 2 days they do but it's not true. If your fried order comes out dark than it should be it's because of that. Not to mention they fry EVERYTHING in the same fryer...smh ... need a Health Inspection read more

Ordered a combination dinner from China King - asked for half of it to be Chicken Chow Mein and the other half sesame chicken. Also lo Mein in place of rice. Have ordered combination meal with two different things many times. Well, we did not get chicken chow Mein but got chicken and cabbage. Said because I got two different entrees, they did not give me chow Mein. I was splitting it with my sister and she wanted chow Mein not chicken with cabbage. Lo Mein was to go with sesame chicken. They did not care - I feel they should have told us we were not getting chow Mein. I would have ordered something else. Good-bye China King - go there 2-3 times a week!!! read more
