This used to be our regular Chinese food place before we moved. It appears it is under new ownership. The server was friendly, but the food was lacking in flavor.

Eat somewhere else. 7.50 for plain white rice!

Eat Somewhere Else. I was back in the area yesterday and thought I would eat at China Moon again. Big Mistake. I thought for sure they had make a mistake on my bill. 22.95 for a Lrg boneless spareribs and 7.50 for a large white rice!!! We also order a small beef Lo mein and 2 eggs rolls. Total cost was over $50!! That's insane for food that wasn't even good. I know times are tuff but 7.50 for a container of rice is absolutely insane. Never again. There are better places that won't cost a fortune.

    Broccoli and snow peas.

This was the first time trying this restaurant. Although the food was hot, it was a very big disappointment. All of the vegetables were overcooked and almost soupy in a very very oily. Every meal had a strange red tint to the sauce. I really don't like to post such negative reviews.

The restaurant is very clean, beautiful plants and our severe was very sweet and attentive. The owner greeted us as we were paying our bill and thanked us for our visit. Very sweet man as well. We ordered two chicken plates and chicha water. The best chicken fried rice I have ever had hands down and the portion was very big. Enough for another dinner next day. The chicken was juicy, tender and flavorful. The special sauce it came with was also delicious. Strongly recommend.

The menu is a fantastic blend of authentic Peruvian flavors with distinct Japanese and Chinese influences that make this cuisine so unique. The atmosphere is modest, warm, and incredibly welcoming, and our server was absolutely terrific. I had the Bistec a la Pobre ($22) -- a perfectly-marinated hanger steak served over generous portions of french fries, white rice topped with a freshly fried egg, and a side of grilled sweet plantains. YUM! The flavors were absolutely spot on. My dining companion loved her Pollo Saltado ($19) -- a generous portion of tender, boneless marinated chicken sauteed with onion, peppers, and tomato served over french fries with a side of white rice. We will definitely be back! PRO TIP #1: Bring a bottle of wine or beer from home to enjoy with your meal. Peru Chikann is a BYOB establishment and does not serve alcohol. PRO TIP #2: Bring cash. Peru Chikann has added a surcharge for using credit cards to pay for your meal.

My dining companion and I stopped in for a weekday dinner on our commute back from Princeton. Even without a reservation on a Thursday night, the hostess was able to seat us immediately. The menu is extensive, featuring all the standard curries (Green, Yellow, Red, Massaman, and Panang) and various special entrées that can be customized with your choice of protein--including duck and mixed seafood--and your preferred spice level. I had the Pad Phet Paa with vegetables and tofu ($17), sautéed with bamboo shoots, long beans, onions, bell peppers, lime leaves, and basil leaves, served with rice. It's described on the menu as being sautéed with a dry curry paste and no coconut milk, but seemed a bit more like a traditional curry (that is, more liquid) than I anticipated. My dining companion ordered the Pad Kra Pao with vegetables ($17), sautéed with onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, peppers and Thai basil leaves, served with rice. Our food was served very quickly and we both thought our dishes were decent and satisfied our craving for Thai, but the flavors didn't quite stand out as anything special. The biggest drawback is the parking lot. Because it is shared with a supermarket, an apartment building, and several other high-traffic takeout spots, finding a parking space during peak hours can be a real struggle. Be prepared to circle the lot for a few minutes before you find a spot. Overall, it's a decent and reliable option for freshly-prepared Thai food if you're already in the neighborhood, but probably not somewhere I'd go out of my way for again.
