I set out wanting nothing more than *passable* "Chinese food". I ordered general tso's chicken and several other things for my family, including moo shu pork. Everything arrived quickly and was hot. The General Tso's chicken is indeed passable, exactly as I had hoped. The only problem is that the pancakes for the moo shu pork is a traditional Chinese dish from Shandong, typically made with sliced pork, scramb are covered in mold. I took a picture in case I needed to post it but I don't see a way to do that here for this review (this is my first Yelp review). In any case, expect a non-exceptional chinese-food experience and you won't be disappointed. I just hope it's safe to eat, given the moldy pancakes... I don't fault them for it *that* much, considering the pancakes are not made by them anyway and that they were probably sitting there rolled up in plastic wrap waiting for someone to order moo shu, for who knows how long. read more

I have been fighting every urge in my body to not throw the food at the restaurant. everything utterly was terrible and disappointing doesn't even bring justice to my experience. There was more hair in my shrimp roll than shrimp and brown cabbage. no condiments whatsoever not like it would remedy the meal anyway. wonton soup was so oily and beyond disgusting that I put it outside because I couldn't fathom it being in my home. crab Rangoon's (2 orders) tasted like someone ripped them out the freezer cooked them in the sun for 4 days and then packaged them with disdain. white rice was two days old at best and sweet and sour chicken was flavorless but possibly the only edible part of the meal that I still chose not to consume. I'm not a fan of take out Chinese food but today I had thier food for the first time and I was surprised how fresh and great the good was . It was excellent beyond my expectations. Coming from me as a chef it has to be good. If they continue cooking this way iwill order from there every time iam in town. I ate the whole dinner. The delivery girl seemed to be so sweet and polite. I hope they stay constant with thier recipes. My first time having thier food and like I said I blew my mind how good it was. read more

DO NOT EAT HERE !! FOOD POISONING WARNING!!! Chang's China was a decent spot for a while. Their food always tasted and looked fresh. Or so we thought...after ordering for delivery from here one night my wife got very sick the next day. She lost her appetite, start vomiting, and later found what looked like worms in her feces. After a few days she is feeling better but we are very disappointed in this outcome and will never be coming back here for food. I caution EVERYONE to not come here. First time here and they did not disappoint. They have good precautions in place for Covid. The food was well cooked, hot, tasty and large portions. My shrimp we're large and crispy and they even included a little side of tartar sauce. Everything tasted great and was up to par with my favorite Chinese food in South Jersey. This is excellent food for Chinese takeout. We ordered the Singapore style mei fun, boneless spare ribs, moo goo gai pan, chicken lo mein, and crab rangoon. Each was on point. Meifun was not overly greasy and not too spicy, very good flavor. Spare ribs was very flavorful with a honey sweetness to it (it can get dry, so we requested juicy). Moo goo gai pan was perfect with lots of veggies--I do not like water chestnut, they had bamboo instead of water chestnut, which is the way to go! One minor point, the pork fried rice is quite good. It would be next level with some peas, diced carrots and some more onions for even more flavor. Strongly recommend, will come back. Service is fantastic. Good people work here! read more

Honestly, Im surprised this place doesn't have more reviews!!! Moved to Hillsborough in February and have been eating Chang's since March. First off Chang's is VERY clean. I found other places in town, that had semi tasty food, but seemed unkempt in a way that I just couldn't work with. Chang's in a nutshell is standard Chinese-American fare done right in a clean kitchen, which I found is a rarity in this area. My only issue is I wish they had more vegetarian options, but thats pretty much every place I visit...lol Chang's workers are very polite and the food moves in a timely fashion.I mostly order takeout but I often see people eat there.Free Wifi also. read more

Tried this for the first time last night. The food is decent. The flavors were pretty good, but I thought the meats were a little dry, got boneless spareribs and general tsos and I felt like it was overcooked and a little hard to chew. The food is typically good buuuut...The counter woman never comprehends the order given to her. I'm not sure if she really can understand English, she's on drugs? Or her mind is just elsewhere. I go here every so often and I'm not sure when the "new" management took over. The food here is generally OK and the prices are pretty good. The last order I placed was for vegetable lo mein. All I could taste was soy sauce and the bottom of the container was swimming in it. Probably just a bad day but it was barely edible because I'm not a big soy sauce fan as a flavor. This is my office's go to Chinese place and it rarely disappoints (except for that one time I ordered curry chicken... I don't recommend). I've tried all of the Chinese restaurants in the area and Chang's is easily one of the best. The food, for the most part, is the typical Americanized Chinese fare that most Chinese restaurants in NJ serve. They do have some standouts such as their Mango chicken (which has been on their special menu as long as I have been going there). Hillsborough residents for several decades and disappointed with chinese takeout until now. Chang's is very clean and the staff are friendly. My husbands egg foo young sauce was so good and plentiful that I used the extra to marinate turkey legs. I asked for sauteed bean sprouts and the chef used ginger and carrots and it was delicious. If you can stomach dealing with the unfriendly & unpleasant woman at the front desk then you will probably enjoy the food. Despite my pleasantries (hi's, thank you's, please's, & have a nice day) the woman made it clear she did not appreciate my business especially once she dropped my change in my hands as if she would detest any human contact.
