This is usually one of my go to spots for Chinese food and normally the food is spot on...I'm not sure what happened today but the food wasn't good. The whole order was off...the Gen Tao chicken was soggy, the breading was mushy, the white rice seemed like it was split from hard and mushy in two different containers and the egg rolls were off, definitely not the quality I'm used to. Ordered take out last night, got their Kung Pao chicken dinner special with fried rice and an order of rangoons. Got home, tried to take the box out of the bag but couldn't because the food was so hot that it melted the styrofoam, spilling the contents all over my kitchen counter. Finally got what I could salvage onto a plate and started looking for my rangoons. Missing, replaced with an entire thing of rice. Food got stone cold after sitting out for 10 seconds, tasted microwaved. Called to let them know what happened and said I'd come by tomorrow to get my replacement, lady on the phone said she wrote my name down and my order. Called today and got a different lady who said she didn't know anything about it, no note, nothing. Needless to say they will never have my business ever again. Chicken chow mein for lunch today. Egg drop soup was good but chow mein tasted like Chung King out of a can. I was disappointed.

Quality of service has been declining. The customer service at the counter is horrible. The food is still not bad for you buck but I'm a service girl. The ceiling tiles so drippings from different leaks. The door is nasty. I'm not sure when was the last time the door has been clean. The floors could use a good steam cleaning. I have eaten at a few Chinese food restaurants in the immediate area and this one rates at the top for two reasons, cost and taste. The restaurant is very basic looking, not the most decorated Chinese restaurant I have eaten at, but the food exceeds expectations. Lunch specials are priced very reasonable and the portion are large. If you order a two entree combo for a few dollars more, you will need a to-go box. read more

The staff is rude and do not know how to provide good customer service. We've been eating here for years and have experienced the decline in customer service and quality of food. After this evening's experience we will never go back. We live a little ways away and placed a large to go order. My husband repeated his order and had her repeat it back, when he got home he realized there were a few items missing. I called immediately, I was first called a liar then asked what I wanted her to do about it. No apologies or offers of replacing, pretty much told oh well. Went in for lunch, we loved the food portions for the price. For $5.95, I had sesame chicken, fried rice, wonton soup/ egg roll. Thats a great deal. I didn't finish my food as the portion was huge. I think it is a big deal, but i was disappointed to know that they didnt have sirracha hot sauce, no biggie. I gave them 3 stars because the food was SUPER greasy! I have been here twice. The food is not very good. My biggest complaint is that they were extremely rude.

My Dad has been going to China Moon for over twenty years. Yesterday, he was given the wrong order and he did not discover this until he had driven across town. He called the restaurant and was asked if he could bring the food back. He told them that he couldn't bring it back because he was across town. He was asked when he could come in so my dad thought that China Moon was going to make hus order right or provided a refund. He was then asked for his name and number which he provided. Today, he went to the restaurant and was told that, because he didn't drive all the way back to the restaurant, he couldn't get a refund or his original order because they would "lose money." The manager would not come out to speak with my father. My Dad was sad that, after twenty years, he was treated so poorly. China Moon just lost a customer who has brought friends into the restaurant. read more

Our family ate here tonight & experienced the worst service. I had to get the high chair for my daughter myself. I had to get our to go boxes. Our server also kept reaching over my plate practically putting her elbow in my food. The food was average. I felt sorry for a woman who was in line to order food to go. When she placed her order the guy at the counter told her the kitchen was closed even though she had been there waiting in line well before closing time. Me and my family have been coming to China Moon for years, before and after the renovations. We always get amazing food. We do not eat in, always take-out, so I cannot talk about the dining service. But we have always been treated wonderful when we pick up the food. We always get Generals Chicken... which is AMAZING :) .. This time I also ordered broccoli and beef. Very good. The fried wontons are always crispy and the soups are fabulous. I have and always will order from China Moon. It is unfortunate so many others have had bad experiences. Minimal ingredients in all dishes. Hot and sour soup - mostly soup. Fried rice - baaaarely any egg and no veggies. We've been going to China Moon for years but will NEVER go back. We ordered two dinners which included soup, eggroll and rangoon. We do this all the time and our bill is always $20.46. We leave a cash tip in the jar on the counter when we pickup and never put the tip on our card. We had our receipt showing no added tip but it cleared the bank for exactly 20% above the bill. Someone decided they needed a 20% tip which they added after we left even though we had to return to get the two soups we had paid for as part of the dinner. When we got home a second time we realized they had left out our lemon sauce to the Lemon Chicken there by rendering it lemon-less. Days later when we discovered the charge which had cleared for 20% higher, we contacted the restaurant and talked to the owner. She was initially appalled and refunded the difference in cash and said she'd get back to us after research. When she returned our call she said it was our fault because we had added food (after we left?) to our bill and were now denying it. She chose to believe her new employees instead of her long-time established customers to the extent of accusing us of being untruthful. We don't need to steal $4 from China Moon. We will never return and if you choose to go, watch your bill and keep your receipt. read more

I really like the food here. The service is fast, and the restaurant is never overly crowded. The portion sizes are HUGE. The thing that stops me from giving it more stars is that I can't order all white meat for anything except sweet n sour chicken & lemon chicken. I am a repeat customer. I go there several times a week, and today when i had it picked up for me, the food containers had holes in them, the soups were half empty, and one of the entrees had spilled out. When i called to make the complaint, the owner said that i would have to bring the order all the way back up there in order for her to do anything about it and that pictures were not good enough. I didn't have my car today that is why someone went to pick it up for me and she stated oh well to bad for you and hung up. I concur with the others, I would leave no stars if possible. The food is not worth the price, and if left to the owner/cook the customer would come last instead of first. When asked to replace the fries with white rice (already cooked and should have made things easier for him) he said substitutions were not allowed??? I would say the only positive of the night was the waitress who gave us the rice anyway with hope to provide damage control. Good amount of food for the price. Only one vegetarian option. Lunch menu is served from 11am to 5pm. We arrived around 4:15pm and got our food quickly. My boyfriend ordered the sweet and sour chicken and it was a lot of chicken. The fried rice was rather plain with only a little egg in it and no vegetables that I could see. Quite a bit of vegetables in the veggie delight: snap peas, baby corn, bamboo shoots, fresh mushrooms, carrots, and water chestnuts. Exterior of the building and parking lot could be spruced up.
