However, I share with my other half and did not like the food that I grabbed her which I should have considering I enjoy shrimp and chop suey. I've been looking forward to tasting their food. It was not noteworthy. I was disappointed. The Kung Pao chicken had plenty of ingredients but lacked flavor. The egg rolls were lightly filled and the duck sauce and mustard were bland. The hot and sour soup was loaded with everything but the flavor was not as expected. First time at Wu's and will definitely be our last. We drove by on our way to another Chinese restaurant and thought, maybe this place would be good to get Easter dinner instead. We were on our way to Wah Kee in Stone Oak. Big mistake. Lady taking the order is a little cold, no smile no welcome. It's ok, as long as the food is good, right! We ordered the special fried rice and chicken fried rice. No flavor, and bland. The rice was almost white and just added the meats/shrimp and very little. No egg, no bean sprouts, corn, or anything. I should have just ordered white rice. They didn't even add soy sauce maybe just a dash that made it off white color. The beef broccoli had like a curry flavor and the sweet and sour chicken was probably left over because one could tell it was refried a couple of times and chicken was dry. Beef pepper I didn't try as I had enough with tasting the other dishes above. Egg rolls horrible too. Idk how this place has good rating. Maybe it was just because it was Easter and they were like whatever. I don't know but I will never go to Wu's again. I totally forgot, I think the only dish that was ok was the egg foo young. I first visited this restaurant about three years ago. Although they have a few tables, this is primarily a take-out place. As take-out restaurants go, this is probably the best in the San Antonio metropolitan area. Their service is quick but not friendly. They're not unfriendly, mind you. They just don't give you the warm and fuzzy welcomes. The young lady that works the counter fits right in. She's all about providing excellent service without the warm welcome. I normally order the wonton soup or wonton-egg drop soup. Regardless, both are tasty but served extremely hot. Their eggrolls are among the best in San Antonio, as well. In fact, I place them in the top two, ranked 1a and 1b. Their dishes are the typical fare you'll find in any fast food Chinese take-out place; good but not great. If it weren't for the eggrolls, soup, and excellent service, I'd likely have scored them with only three stars. I will continue to patronize when I'm in the mood for something quick. read more

Both orders of chicken were dry and the chicken was very, very well done. It was almost like eating jerky. The rice did not look like it was fried and was mostly white. The dumplings were very well done and hard to bite through or cut with a fork. The egg rolls were very well done and hard to bit through.
