This place has gone downhill. As cliche as it may sound, I actually had a fly in my soup.

Today was my first time trying this place and it was for delivery. I have not been to the restaurant before so I didn't know what to expect. I ordered a lunch special which was cheap. Since there was a $15 minimum I figured I would also order an entree and have leftovers for a day or two. First off, the lunch special was big, so my leftovers are going to be more than I thought. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken as the special and it was good. I also ordered Chicken Curry and it was awesome!!! Totally loved it and it was pretty big too. I ordered right at lunch time so I expected to wait a while and it was here in less than 30 minutes (and I live over by the duck pond so I was surprised they even delivered that far to begin with). So I was happy it came so fast because I was starving and not feeling well. It also arrived super hot! One of the problems I experience in this neighborhood with local pizza delivery places is it always arrives cold, especially dominoes. It was so hot I had to let it cool off! Last, it was nicely packaged with proper sauces, utensils, and fortune cookies etc. It's the worst when you order delivery or take out and get the food and those types of things are missing. Love love this place. They have great dinner deals and lots of options everything comes family style. every time we order the chow mein and the dumpling soup is our favorite. They also do delivery. They have nice late hours and very clean atmosphere. We have been coming here for almost 4 years now since we moved here and their food is always delicious I have never had one complaint coming here. The food is super good and it's probably the best authentic Chinese food in Temecula. The only reason I took two stars off is the poor service. None of the workers say thank you or smile. I get it that they may not know a lot of English But the words 'thank you' wouldn't be a bad thing to learn when working in a restaurant. read more

We got a flyer in the mail for this place and decided to give it a try. Positives: - They offer pickup and delivery - Inside of Restaurant is pristine clean and nicely decorated - Decent sized portions - Greeted with a warm welcome and every employee was very nice (even if one of them was on their phone the entire time I can't knock them for that. I mean, I was the only person in there and it was a Wednesday night at 8pm) Negative: - Food was not that great TBH. We tried the family meal deal and we got a lot of food that lasted a couple of days, but it just didn't have any spice or uumph. Paid about $37 for everything and it just didn't match up to other Chinese food places we've done take out with. Tasted like some of it was microwaved TBH. I was surprised when I called in my big order and they said it would only take 10 minutes to finish... We probably won't be coming back - just wanted to try it out since we're new in town. read more

Its hit or miss. Sometimes we get amazing food and sometimes it seems like it was sitting for a long time.

My wife and I have now ordered three times from China One. Its awesome being able to order the food through Yelp. The food is always ready by the time I selected. And everyone I have spoken to at the restaurant are very friendly. Their food is AWSOME!!!! We have tried a few dishes and have been very surprised to how good they are. Really good, seemingly authentic Chinese food. It was the birthday of my friend's daughter so we ordered a feast that could probably have fed an army. My friend did have to feed four adults and four children so he had to order plenty of food. The sesame chicken was particularly tasty, as was the beef with broccoli. This is my third time eating at China One. Service At this establishment is a D. A rock has more personality than the cashier. Siting in the restaurant the environment was grim. After 20 minutes my takeout order was ready. The cashier flopped my bag on the counter and said my number. I grabbed my order and walked out. No thanks come again or a wave but this isn't significant. Once home two or the three orders had no shrimp!! A shrimp dish with no shrimp? So I think the food is just okay for the price however I get this delivered once a week for convenience . Every time they deliver they never give change they just walk away i think that is so rude tonight I asked for my change as my total was $15 and I wasn't willing to give a $5 tip on top of a $2 delivery charge he said I don't have any change. Are you kidding me? I told him have fun taking my food back I don't want it. I really don't like that they do not have any meal options. You have to spend $35 for two people and the portions are not that big for family style. I will not be ordering ever again after tonight. On the plus side, China One has super easy online ordering. Low prices for lunch specials. Minuses: The price is super low for the lunch specials for good reason: Seasonings are waaay off. I'm downgrading my rating based on two things: today we had lunch specials and my Mongolian beef was pretty skimpy on the meat, plus the girl who brought my wife's food just dropped it on the table in front of her, no talking, no eye contact. We had not eaten here for several months because the last time we did we both ordered food with shrimp in it and we both got food poisoning. Still, we like that their orange chicken is better than the chain restaurants and the prices are fair. Just wish I had ordered something with chicken today and maybe I would have gotten a larger portion of protein. Still, flavors were on point. So this kinda sucks. This was my daughters and I favorite place to go for the best Mongolian beef dish, hands down in So Cal... The other food is good too. But what you don't want to see while waiting for your food is one of the waiters spitting in the sink . Not once! Not twice! But three times! WTF!!! And to top it all off I than see the chef carrying two dishes one in each hand over to the waiter and he sneezed right in between the two plates. I was horrified for whoever's meals those were. Five stars cause for the price the food is actual pretty good. Combination Kung Pao is legit. $6.95 lunch special 11am to 4pm comes with main entree and fried rice/noodles. Support your local spots, Panda Express is overstated and they give you more vegetables than chicken/meat. Dine in, take out and delivery. Bring your own utensils AND barf bag! Serious case of food poisoning from the shrimp. We have enjoyed this place for some time but on April 5th we ordered Honey Walnut Shrimp, House Fried Rice and Chicken with Asparagus. The food was delicious but you get tiny plastic forks to to eat with and paper cups with tea bags. Prices are NOT cheap but the ambiance and place settings are. We would have overlooked that but shortly after getting home my wife was up all night with serious stomach cramps (among other symptoms.) She was absolutely miserable and spent the entire next day in bed. She was the only one who ate the shrimp. Everything else all day we each ate the same. I have been eating here for nearly a year. The lunch specials are always priced well. At times the fried rice has been a bit too greasy but now that I watch my sodium very strictly and ask them to prepare my food with no soy sauce or salt it is perfect. I love Chinese food and travel to a lot of places where I have my favorite Chinese restaurants and dim sum locations. I am glad China One is in my town because I really like this place. I've had shrimp with black bean sauce, curry chicken, curry shrimp, shrimp and broccoli, combination fried rice and chow Mein. All are great and they give generous portions. We tried several chinese restaurants in Temecula before finding this one. The best chinese food in the area, hands down! Even after driving home and eating 30 minutes later the food still tastes hot and fresh. Highly recommend paying to upgrade to the "plain fried rice", it is delicious. Reasonable prices and good portions. I can't comment on the service since we always order takeout but they are always nice for the 10 seconds I'm in the restaurant.
