Friday, 12-20-2024: We were so impressed with the food here three years ago we knew we had to come back here for a late lunch. The last time we were here was during the pandemic and they were only taking orders to go from their front door. Today we stepped in and were surprised at how spacious it is. We were greeted so nicely by the sweet, young lady, who directed us to a booth. She took our drink orders of iced teas with lemon. We glanced at the lunch specials. We're creatures of habit and I chose Cashew Chicken and hubby wanted Orange Chicken. We both opted for egg flower drop soup and given two veggie egg rolls. We told our server that we loved the food here and remembered how good it was those years ago. She was very thankful. We enjoyed the tasty egg drop soup. The rest of the food came out quickly. It was so aromatic that we knew we were in for a treat. The Cashew Chicken and Orange Chicken were as delicious as we remembered. So happy we decided to return. They definitely did not disappoint. Later, the owner came by to ask how we liked the food. We told him we had visited three years ago when it was COVID time and they were only taking orders to go. We said we loved how memorable & delicious their food was that we wanted to eat here before returning home. He asked where home was & told him Temecula. He was so sweet that he gave us a $5.00 discount. We were pleasantly surprised & grateful. The exceptional food and top notch customer service will have us return next time. It was a perfect ending to our trip in Solvang.

We were camping in Buellton and wanted Chinese food. China Panda did not disappoint! Nice ambiance and excellent service. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely be back every time we're in town.

China Panda 272 E Hwy 246 Ste 106 Buellton, CA 93427 (805) 688-1291 May 26, 2024. *It was our last night in Buellton, after spending the weekend in Solvang and Santa Barbara. I was craving honey walnut prawns. We were staying at Quality Inn-Buellton and the Front Desk recommended China Panda. *Located at a small strip mall. Greeted immediately with a smile. *We ordered combination chow-mein, combination fried rice, string beans in black beans sauce with beef and my favorite honey walnut prawns. Everything was delicious, compliments to the honey walnut prawns. Seasoning of the dishes were just right, not to salty, not bland, not oily as well. *Overall, great service and delicious foods.

Our party was warmly greeted upon arrival and made to feel completely at home throughout the evening. The cuisine was very good, and the overall dining experience was thoughtfully executed. One minor note would be that one of the pasta dishes could have been drained slightly more prior to plating. Otherwise, the meal was excellent. I would gladly recommend this restaurant to others seeking a warm, inviting atmosphere paired with attentive service and excellent food.

We were staying at the Pea Soup Anderson Inn and they let us know of some partnered restaurants at check in. Giorgio's was on the list for 15% off so we walked across the street to find a liquor store where you would never suspect had a high quality Italian restaurant in the back. There is a nice seating area, polite staff, and is very very clean. Truly a hidden gem!

We ordered the chicken picatta and sole picatta to-go, tipped despite not dining in, and drove 20 miles home. When we opened the boxes, both orders were incorrect. According to the board menu, the sole picatta comes with arugula, beets, pistachios, and potatoes (no capers), and the chicken picatta comes with capers, spinach, and potatoes. Instead, both dishes came with pasta and none of the listed sides. More concerning, the sole had capers--even though we specifically asked when ordering because my partner is allergic and were told it does not include them. Meanwhile, the chicken picatta, which should have had capers, had none. Portions were also quite small for the $22 price point. We tried calling the restaurant eight times with no answer. After contacting the liquor store it's located inside, we were told to call back in five minutes. When we did, the call wouldn't even go through. Since we couldn't reach anyone, we drove the 20 miles back to Buellton to request a refund. When I showed the chef the incorrect dishes, he insisted the picatta dishes come with pasta and produced a small, crumpled paper menu from under the counter showing that version. We were never given this menu and ordered solely from the board displayed above. There was no apology and no offer to remake the meals, only a refund when I requested it. The employee who originally helped us acknowledged they "haven't gotten around" to updating the board menu. Other reviews mention similar issues with discrepancies between the board and the paper menu, which suggests this is an ongoing problem. Thankfully, we received a refund and our tip back, but we drove a total of 60 miles and ended up without dinner, eventually eating at Blaze Pizza at 9:45pm after ordering from you at 6:15pm. Despite this disappointing experience, we would be willing to give your restaurant another try if complimentary meal vouchers could be offered. We understand that busy periods can lead to mistakes, but the lack of accountability and apology was the most frustrating part. Acknowledging errors and making things right builds trust. Photos of what was advertised versus what we received are attached. We hope for a better experience in the future; otherwise, we unfortunately will not return.

The staff was really nice, lots of people coming in to get food to go, so a popular spot. I really liked their salsa, not spicy, which I normally like it spicy, but this was just packed full of flavor and could have just ate that with a ton of chips. They do have a little spicier option, which I got to put on my fajitas. They do give you chips and salsa with your order, so I did eat quite a bit of it, soo good! I would come back just for the chips and salsa. The food was good, I got the beef fajitas. They were tasty and the portions were generous. Lots of beef and veggies. The rice and beans were ok, I have had better, but not bad, just had better. The place is not large, but they do have a number of seats inside, they also have a little patio outside as well as a large picnic area, which was a pretty cool surprise to find. I would definitely come back again, staff was really nice and the food was tasty; can't get enough of their salsa, but would probably pass on the rice and beans. Enjoy!

The food feels thoughtful without trying too hard, and every dish had so much flavor packed into it. The Crispy Pork Belly Sandwich was the standout for me. The gochujang Coca Cola glaze gave it that perfect sweet and savory balance, while the snap pea slaw added freshness and crunch. And somehow the brown butter cashew butter tied everything together in the best way possible. The Wagyu Pastrami Sandwich was just as memorable, rich, juicy, and super satisfying. The Swiss cheese, horseradish cream, sauerkraut aioli, and beef jus all worked so well together without overpowering the wagyu. We also ordered the strawberry lemonade and lavender lemonade, which were both super refreshing and perfect for brunch. And to end the meal, the sticky toffee pudding was absolutely exquisite. Coast Range seemed to check all the boxes, and they had an available reservation on the patio. We got (for us) the perfect table, which was a small area next to the entrance. Actually only our table, which was great for containing our puppy, plus a heat lamp and service over the pony wall which worked out great! We started with delicious cold, crisp martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives and a bowl of water for our pup. Our server (Chelsea B?) was so fun and friendly! We then had maybe the best wedge salad we've ever had! I think the lettuce was cut to, but not thru, the base, and opened up, with toppings inside. Roasted beet cubes, bacon, blue cheese and shallots, plus cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg quarters and fried shallots garnish. It was incredible. I think they should call it "More than a Wedge." We also had the Ahi crudo, which had a delicious sauce and thinly sliced peppers. I wasn't too hungry, so had the French onion soup as my main course. So, it definitely didn't taste anything like French onion soup! It looked like it, and it was definitely cooked down onions but the flavor wasn't anything like I'd expect. However, it was really delicious and satisfied my craving for something warm & cheesy. So if you go in knowing that, I think you'll enjoy it. I don't like lamb, so my husband often gets it when we go out. When he took his first bite, I could tell he enjoyed it. He said it was some of the best lamb he's had and he's had a lot! It's à la carte, but did come with a tiny bit of salad and a roasted pepper which he thought was perfect. Since I was having the soup we didn't order a vegetable side, which we normally would, but this vegetable garnish worked perfectly for him. Definitely recommended!
