Friday, 12-20-2024: We were so impressed with the food here three years ago we knew we had to come back here for a late lunch. The last time we were here was during the pandemic and they were only taking orders to go from their front door. Today we stepped in and were surprised at how spacious it is. We were greeted so nicely by the sweet, young lady, who directed us to a booth. She took our drink orders of iced teas with lemon. We glanced at the lunch specials. We're creatures of habit and I chose Cashew Chicken and hubby wanted Orange Chicken. We both opted for egg flower drop soup and given two veggie egg rolls. We told our server that we loved the food here and remembered how good it was those years ago. She was very thankful. We enjoyed the tasty egg drop soup. The rest of the food came out quickly. It was so aromatic that we knew we were in for a treat. The Cashew Chicken and Orange Chicken were as delicious as we remembered. So happy we decided to return. They definitely did not disappoint. Later, the owner came by to ask how we liked the food. We told him we had visited three years ago when it was COVID time and they were only taking orders to go. We said we loved how memorable & delicious their food was that we wanted to eat here before returning home. He asked where home was & told him Temecula. He was so sweet that he gave us a $5.00 discount. We were pleasantly surprised & grateful. The exceptional food and top notch customer service will have us return next time. It was a perfect ending to our trip in Solvang.

My husband was I visiting Solvang and craving for Chinese food and decided to check China Panda out. Food and service were great! Would recommend and go back again!

We were camping in Buellton and wanted Chinese food. China Panda did not disappoint! Nice ambiance and excellent service. Everything we ordered was delicious. We will definitely be back every time we're in town.

The restaurant is awash in grays and browns to lend luxury and atmosphere without being somber. The inside of the restaurant at night was warmed by soft amber lighting while the outside seating area where my party dines was brightened by ambient light. Staff are very friendly, helpful, attentive, and professional. The food was amazing! Everything was fresh, vibrant, and flavorful. The starter scones were delightfully warm and flaky. My wife and I came here and it was our first time, I can say this inside was absolutely beautiful. This place is not only a great date night, it's gorgeous, it's well put together and that I can say was absolutely great. The service: the service was OK, one thing that is hard is when there isn't as many people there at the moment I do expect the service to be just a little bit better only because you do have the opportunity to pay a little bit more attention to individuals and not a lot of groups. I do feel like it took a while to get back to us, and even when trying to explain things to us, it felt like one of the people that was helping us didn't really know what they were talking about, wasn't really informative about the menu and wasn't really personable. They weren't rude, just not really personable, especially to people who said it was their first time. That is a big deal to us and that plays a bigger part in why it's hard for me to wanna come back. The food: we had two items on the menu, it was the peppers in the shrimp. I do feel like the peppers were very, very lackluster. They really had nothing special to them. You would think that there would be just a bit more of the seasoning, the garlic would be spread out all over, and there might be something else on top to give them a bit more of a flavor. It was a pile of garlic over in the corner of the plate and the peppers didn't really have much of them, they were just peppers. The shrimp was decent, I liked what was on top of them. I just feel like there was nothing special to it. I feel like there are so many rows you can go with grilling them or adding a bit more to them in the plate. It just felt like you got four garlic on a plate with a sauce on top and they were slightly soaked. The fried chicken sliders were absolutely wonderful, that was my favorite part. Honestly, if you could do those à la carte and put three on a plate or maybe even four depending on how hungry you are that would be just a phenomenal dish on its own and their fries were absolutely great. Overall, I feel like there are some things that can use an improvement. I see the potential and there are a couple other things on the menu that I wanted to try, and I want to convince myself to go back and give them a try. it's just hard when that is your first impression. Do I think it's worth giving it a shot? Yes but do I think they can do better as well yes

We entered & instantly love the decor. Unfortunately we were in sticker shock at the menu. It was well beyond our affordability. My poor hubby wants to leave but it was his birthday so we split the twin peaks, 2 bacon wrapped filets. The service was great! The steak was perfect, great flavor combinations. It also included salad & a root beer float. I told the waitress it was his birthday. He was personable, super witty, and had us laughing throughout the meal. The food was outstanding. We also appreciated the to-go sodas, and the sundaes and root beer floats that come with the meal were the perfect ending. I hadn't been to AJ Spurs in many years, and I'm so glad we chose it to celebrate my 39th birthday. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish, and we'll definitely be back!

After looking through photos and reviews, I decided to give Burrito Lalo a try. It was only about 1.4 miles away, right off McMurray. I ordered the menudo to-go and decided to go without "pata" (pig's feet), along with a bottled Coke. My order was ready in about 5 minutes, which was impressive. The young lady who helped me was friendly and packed everything nicely in a cardboard box, including all the fixings and a bag of chips. I have to admit, the menudo was very good! The broth tasted clean, flavorful, and delicious. My only reason for giving it 4 stars is that I would have preferred a little more hominy to balance everything out. There were also plenty of large chunks of tripe. Depending on how you like your menudo, that could be a positive or negative. Personally, I prefer my tripe cut into smaller pieces. Overall, I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend Burrito Lalo to anyone looking for a good bowl of menudo in Buellton. My only advice is to make sure you tell them exactly how you like your menudo, especially the size and amount of tripe and hominy. That part was my mistake for not asking. Either way, the menudo was delicious, and I would definitely give Burrito Lalo another try the next time I'm in the area!

As we passed by, the enticing menu caught our eyes, especially the children's skirt steak and fries--exactly what I wanted for her! However, I have to admit, the prices were on the higher side, which is typical for this type of restaurant. Still, given what we were paying, I was surprised by the lack of attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness. There was quite a bit of dust on the ledge near our table, which triggered my allergies and led to a couple of sneezes. To add to the disappointment, our rolls arrived well after our entrées. By the time we finally got them, they were cold and a bit hard. When they did reach our table, a server in training accidentally dropped a salt and pepper shaker into our plate of rolls, and surprisingly, didn't seem to think twice about it. On a brighter note, our main server was delightful, and the beef stroganoff was nothing short of heavenly. The meat was incredibly tender, and the mushrooms swimming in red wine sauce were a true highlight. I did find it a bit off-putting to see a surprise 2% surcharge tagged on to cover labor expenses. Honestly, I'd prefer higher menu prices that reflect the actual costs, rather than this nickel-and-dime approach. Employees deserve fair wages, but those extra fees can be frustrating. After all was said and done, my child's meal, my beef stroganoff, and just two rolls--with tax, a tip, and that extra charge--brought our total to just under $100. When I asked to take my leftovers home, I was handed a container to pack it all myself. Maybe it's just me, but when I'm spending that kind of money, I expect a bit more attentive service.
