I ordered delivery from here one night about two months ago. I was expecting my usual delicious beef lo mein and fried wontons. The fried wontons were rubbery. The beef in the lo mein extremely fatty and chewy. I called them. I wan't expecting the warmest reception, but the response I got was extremely hostile. After explaining my problem with the food, the guy on the other line told me that it wasn't his problem and hung up on me. So tired of the manner in which they do business. I have been ordering at this Resturant for over a year. For the SECOND time they have over charged my card. I ordered a ten dollar meal and looked at my online account and they charged me $65.00! The first time this happened it was about the same amount. When they tried to refund the money the accidentally charged me that amount again! So for about a week I had over $150 tied up in Chinese food! This does not happen at any other Resturant. I believe they do not always have workers on staff that know how to properly work their equipment. When I called about the problem I was told they keep all sales receipts at home so the issue can't be addressed until tomorrow. Really? What business keeps sales receipts at home? The food has been ok in the past, this time I wanted to order in. I live very close and I asked if they would honor the free delivery(order over ten dollars). They tell me yes but I have to tip the driver. I ask how that is free delivery and ask what if I don't tip the driver. The lady tells me they will charge me a two dollar minimum. This is some of the worst Chinese food ever. My sesame noodles had actual chunks of creamy peanut butter in it. It tasted like peanut butter spaghetti. I could not even finish the dish. General tsaos was overly sweet and dumplings were only ok. I would not go back to this place. read more

My co-workers and I use to order from here all the time, never had a problem. When we tried to order take-out today, an EXTREMELY RUDE woman answered the phone. She was short with me right off the bat. I was having a hard time understanding her when I tried to order Mock Sweet and Sour Chicken. What I gathered is that it was too much trouble to make and that they no longer serve it. After she proceeded to yell this at me I tried placing the rest of my order, she then kept bringing up that they no longer serve mock chicken even though our other orders had no mock chicken. Once I was done my friend decided to try and ask about the mock chicken since I was having a hard time understanding. Once that horrible conversation was over, she called my cell phone back to continue to scream at me about the mock chicken, so I decided to cancel my order. She said she was going to cancel it anyway, I said thank you and hung up (I didn't want to continue being yelled at). She then called me again and continued to yell at me and told me that we can never order from them again. The food was incredibly bland, and I ordered everything to be extra spicy. My boyfriend's spice tolerance is high but mine's not at all, and when I say literally no spice, I mean no spice. Just moved and found out China Panda was our neighborhood Chinese restaurant. My girlfriend and I ordered food one night for take out and all the food was very bland. This place was recommended to me by some coworkers, but I was hesitant to go since it was on the other side of town from my residence. But I'm glad I did! The service was very fast - less than 20 minutes, and the food was very good. We ordered chicken and broccoli, soup, spring rolls, and a beef dish. All were delicious. The spring rolls were perfect, although the egg rolls were a little greasy. My soup was hot and well flavored, and the entrees were a good combination of flavors. A single dinner entree was more than enough for two meals for me, so it was nice to have leftovers the next day for lunch, which reheated well in their own containers. Very moderately priced as well. I have lived about 2 blocks from China Panda for over 2 years now, and I must say that it can be very hit or miss, both day to day, and dish to dish. There have been times when I ate there once to twice a week, and other times where I don't go for months. For the most part, it's standard, if not slightly above average, Americanized Chinese. But there are gems hidden in various places on the menu, and they're usually the things that other places don't have, like the Pad Thai, and some of the other chef specials. However, the best dishes are also in a different price range from the rest of the menu. That being said, I highly commend their vegetarian menu. You might be wary, but I've had times that the mock beef was significantly more satisfying than real beef. Once again though, hit-or miss. I'll continue to support this place. It's the closest to me, and significantly better than "Good Taste". The owners hire friendly, bearded college students (I will refrain from using the adjective, 'hipster') and seem to have some sense of community. You might not get an excellent meal, but I have never gotten food from here that I was unwilling to eat, as I have at other Chinese places around the city. read more

Very fast delivery. Free delivery. The woman that took my order and the delivery man were courteous. The vegan Kung Pao chicken was pretty good, but not on the same level as another I've tried. I've been going to China Panda since before they reopened, and after. This place has amazing vegan and vegetarian options. My favorites are the steamed vegetable dumplings, the sesame tofu, and the mock beef with broccoli. Several members of the staff and delivery people are knowledgeable, polite, and always on time with delivery. If you catch them on a good day, you will have an amazing experience. Now the dark side of China Panda. Sometimes they do not answer their phone, despite being open. As a business that probably makes, I'm guessing, AT LEAST 70% of their sales in delivery this is completely unnacceptable. Sometimes they will hire new people and these people can be very rude! I've called before and someone has told me they don't make a certain thing anymore when it's something I've been ordering for years and I get it next time, when dealing with a different person. I've been given the wrong thing before- fried rice when I asked for lo mein. Fortunately it was at least vegan, so I could eat it. And the last and worst thing was once I ordered food an hour before they closed, which was probably my bad, and they literally took a mock chicken that had been coated with another sauce and threw the other sauce over it! It tasted awful and I couldn't finish it. It was a waste of my money and of good food. I order from here pretty often, mostly because my roommate likes the variety of different vegetarian options more then the place I actually do like to order from Fu-jian. Their crab rangoon barley has anything in them its mostly just the wonton pastry. The meals have very little protein in them. The lady that usually answers the phone is also extremely rude the majority of the time. However their delivery guys are usually very pleasant and if you order a decent sized order they bring you a pretty lil calender! Delivery is fast and they're super cheap. Delivery from less than half a mile away took almost 2 hours and they left out one of the dishes from our order. Food was not exceptional.
