I'm glad Lowell has a place like this. This spot reminds me of Chau Chow city in Dorchester, Peach Farm/New Golden gate in Chinatown. Recently renovated, it definitely feels more welcoming to dine in. It's so live on the weekends during dim sum time. It's always a pack house. Parking situation might be tough but just be patient. There's always a party leaving every 5-10 minutes. Expect heavy traffic lol Fried calamari was really good. Make sure to go up and get it once they bring it out. Black bean clams were ok, a little bland for me. Shumai they had a couple options. I definitely like the XL size ones. Steamed shrimp noodles were ok, not bad. Chicken feet were pretty good. Overall, for dimsum, it's good but not the best. Definitely better than most other spots.

Overcooked & overpriced dim sum. My go-to is the chicken feet but I couldn't eat them here. I ordered the chicken feet with black bean sauce and when I tasted it it tasted like char sui! Red and super sweet. No, thank you! I also love tripe but neither flavors here did it for me (honeycomb in black bean sauce and another in vinegar). The tripe was greasy and left an awful mouthfeel. The dumplings and Chinese broccoli were mediocre. The Star of the show was the salt & pepper shrimp, fried and flavored to perfection! Service was decent. Their sanitary department could probably use help. Decor is typical Chinese restaurant; nothing grand. It was busy with regulars from what I could see I've definitely had better dim sum elsewhere and would not recommend or return to this establishment.

Came here before going jewelry shopping for my son. Needed a quick bite to eat. Chicken feet were not good and we ordered two. My sister loves chicken feet and got excited. It was way too sweet! Tripe was pretty decent flavor, dumplings were fine, salt and pepper shrimp were delicious and hot! They made us the wrong Chinese broccoli; we ordered it with garlic sauce and they put oyster sauce. They did re make it for us no problem. Service was alright, never asked if we needed anything or how food taste. Typical Asian dim sum place. Went to use the bathroom, saw a worker come in with gloves to wash hands, then used the bathroom with gloves, and leave the bathroom with the same gloves on after she picked her nose. Yeah that was gross. Good thing I ate already.

The ambience it's traditional Chinese restaurant. The service was decent. The dim sum dishes were mostly on the soggy side. not just one or two dishes, but a lot of the dishes had too much water in them. the shu mai for example, the corn start/flour that's in them to bind everything together was incredibly mushy. the chicken feet were way over cooked and dried out. the turnip cake had too much water. it was almost jiggly like jello. overall, it's the worst dim sum place i have ever been to in my life so far.

Fried calamari, coconut shrimp and shrimp.

For dimsum, it is average. Prefer going quincy/boston has better ones. Best thing here is thier fried calamari, shrimp and coconut shrimp.

I really like this place for a classic dim sum vibe because they roll the cart around. It may be a little overwhelming since there's a lot of carts moving around at once and they're asking you what you want, even if you don't necessarily know what you want. When I went with my friend who speaks Mandarin, I was able to find understand more of the options that were available on each cart. Overall, pretty good dim sum in the Merrimack valley, I would definitely keep going here for my dim sum fix

siu mai with a little extra ... like extra metal band... what is it from?

We came to this place knowing that food was not going to be super authentic or great, it was just a lot closer than going into Chinatown, Boston. So we came in with lower expectations. However, our expectations were not low enough. We ordered dim sum for take out and here are some thoughts: - flavor was by far the furthest from dim sum we have had. It was unfortunately worse than some frozen dim sum that you can get at Asian Super Markets. - Everything was greasy and flavorless. - There is a lack of wok hei in the dishes.

Their Shrimp dumplings is awful.. not as good as before.

Inside, it's very cozy and has that Chinese cafe feel. It's clean, and they also have outdoor seating. My favorite are the individual window seats. I like sitting there and people-watching, though it's not exactly the busiest area for people-watching. Soup dumplings? Yes, please. The skin is slightly thicker than the ones I've had in New York, though they're still great. I never just order one thing here. They have a lot of variety with Chinese appetizers, dumplings, noodles, rice, and even mala hot pot. Do not pass up the braised pork rice bowl if you like hearty, authentic Asian dishes. I keep forgetting this place is here until the weather gets colder or I'm craving dumplings. Overall Service: Always so nice. There was one time I was on-call while dining here and got paged, and they helped box everything up for me to take home. I really appreciated that. Definitely a place I'm glad to have in the area.

But today's experience was sub par to what we are used to. I didn't leave the establishment because I was with others who wanted to enjoy the food. The first issue was we couldn't seat where we wanted, it had to be where the waitress or manager decided we were to seat. Not one client in the restaurant. Then she brought the bill before we requested no one was waiting to be seated, then refused to split the bill when previous times with a different server was not a problem. We split the bill to only 2 because thats all she could do, me paying for 4 people she denies my tip amount and says if I don't tip a 18% , theywill charge me $80 extra for a party of 6, again we were only 4 people. I am very disappointed with my service and treatment, unfortunately I don't know the server name but she is one that speaks more English. Will I go back and be bullied into tipping what they want? Probably no.

Here it is a daily offering for lunch, though at a different price point on weekdays ($18.95/$9.50 age 10 or under) vs weekends ($23.95/$12 age 10 or under). The buffet is relatively limited, with white rice or fried rice, two dim sum options, one hot table area with appetizers, a noodle, and a selection of entrees, a short chilled area along the wall with dessert items, fruit, seaweed salad and edamame, by the sushi area with some rolls and sashimi, beside the two options of ice cream. Both coffee and vanilla ice creams were good! They take turns refilling the trays by preparing portions in turn, so we had to be patient for the sushi area to be refilled. I was happy to discover no celery in the spring rolls, and scallion pancakes and crab Rangoon among the appetizers. Meats were tender and managed to find vegetables in with the entrees. I called to place an order of snow mountain sushi, beef and broccoli and house fried rice. I know every restaurant has their own spin on their house fried rice so I inquired what this included and she told me chicken, shrimp, pork and a mix of veggies like carrots, onions, peas and bean sprouts. I asked to exclude the pork and everything else was fine. I went to pick up the order, there is a large parking lot with plenty of space, nice front entrance and was greeted when entering the beautifully lit and decorated space from what I could see. The sushi was great, we loved it and would order again! The rice however was mushy, lacked salt/flavor and had no veggies whatsoever as I was told over the phone. The beef and broccoli was a bit too oily for our taste. I would order the sushi again but not the dishes I ordered. It would be helpful if they ensured the staff were knowledgeable on their dishes and what's included. Would have given 3.5 stars if I could!

Sweet and Sour Chicken (on the combo): Seven large pieces, very high meat-to-batter ratio, good crispness on some, not so crisp on others, and a mild "blush" take on the sweet and sour sauce. Cherries and pineapples included. Interestingly served on its own plate, separate from the rice and appetizer, and there was enough there that it could pass as a full order at some places. Pork Fried Rice (on the combo, served in its own bowl ): Not listed as one of the options, but they accommodated me, and it came out surprisingly well-- sort of a cross between Yang Chow fried rice and old school pork fried rice. The pork was fresh and tender; the egg prominent. Very enjoyable even though I was hoping for old school style. Egg Roll (on the combo, served on its own plate ): Small, crisp of shell, and crisp and moist inside, with mostly cabbage and pork. Decent seasoning. Duck Sauce: A cross between standard applesauce-based duck sauce and the dreaded orange packets. Perhaps a little too close to the latter. Overall, an impressive spread for a mere $10.95. The 4 stars take value into account.
