    Nasi Padang
    Lawrence G.

The only place to get authentic Indonesian food in San Antonio. Ask for what they have available because the Indonesian food is not listed on the regular menu. The food is delicious, service was great, and the staff extremely friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was extremely clean and not too busy for lunchtime on a Saturday.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the Nasi Padang and the Satay Ayam. I'll be back to try every Indonesian dish that they make.

    About $10 for all this.

A hidden gem. I've lived less than a mile away from here for a very long time and finally tried it and it was a great value and great meal. I'll definitely have to try dinner here as well as lunch was great.

Egg drop soup no crispy noodles and bland

We ordered crispy noodles with all of the meats, beef broccoli, and lemon chicken, and ribs I sent broccoli back it was like maybe frozen broccoli not fresh and reordered mushroom beef, the mushrooms seemed canned I wouldn't eat here again personally I didn't like either entree, but I'm glad I tried it The ribs and those were wonderful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However when my husband used the restroom he said it was so disgusting there was dried urine on the toilet and seemed like it had been unclean for a while.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was a 4

My daughter-in-law has been coming to this place since she was a little girl and she is now 22. She has been living in Alaska with my son who is in the military and this was her first go to coming home for a visit when I asked her or I could treat her to. We went there and everything was outstanding. Of course the service was perfect, and the food was divine. We had the ragoons,, the eggrolls, the sesame chicken plate, the Hunan chicken plate and the chow mein. The portions were very large and the food was absolutely delicious.

Arrangement with roaches inside after photo was taken it moved around

Went in today and as I was waiting for a pivk up order (not mine..thank God!) [[HIGHLIGHT]]I had taken a photo of an arrangement and when I put my phone down and looked again there was a roach on the arrangement.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I let the guy and lady working know and then other patrons noticed what was going on as well. Owner isn't taking this seriously and prefers to call me a liar etc. No lies here. No need to lie. So I just reported this roach infested hole in the wall place to the Health Department. Hope you all REALLY DEEP clean this place or people will be getting sick etc. Take the mistake and fix it...not get on the review and call people liars. Ask your staff to show you where it was clown.

The food was so delicious. Started eating right away. Forgot to take a picture. For appetizers we had Cheese Rangoons which were excellent. We also had the barbecue rib selection which was also wonderful. For dinner we shared the fried noodles with vegetables and chicken. We soothed our dining pleasure with Hot Green Tea. They had a number of selections to choose drinks from. I highly recommend this restaurant.

San Antonio is not a good city for Chinese food. This place seems to be typical mediocre fare. Mediocre might be generous. It's not for me.

The best and most consistent American-Chinese food I've had in San Antonio. Takeout can run a little long when busy but it's worth the wait.

I don't think it's truly authentic Chinese food, but an in between little diner with great and attentive service, reasonable prices and a lot on their menu. What we ordered came out super quickly and all the dishes were very good. We got egg drop soup (delicious), one stir fried seafood dish (shrimp and scallop- so good!), shrimp fried rice (great), the General Tso's beef (my husband loved this!), chicken lo mein. Generous portions for all dishes. I am sure this place is great for to go also because they must have had 25 to go orders in the 45 minutes we were there to eat.

It was coated with flour like fried chicken instead of corn starch which it should be Couldn't taste the black bean sauce although the sauce was strong Sweet and sour soup was full of good items but so much pepper it made me cough Soups are in tiny cups they call small bowls White rice is good and sticky Shrimp with lobster sauce is nothing like it should be, mostly corn and tasteless, I mean tasteless like water Not the usual recipe others serve. The beef rice noodles were like I would make from a reg pan at home without, again, taste. They need that wok taste but it's not there So disappointed, not cheap either , easily $18 a plate Place was clean and looked decent but what good is that if the food is lousy?

The staff is super friendly and courteous :) ! We usually order the beef vermicelli soup, and a variety of dumplings :D ! They serve our food pretty promptly, with the soup still hot and tasty, and the dumplings steamy and savory :D ! My sister doesn't eat pork. So she typically orders dumplings that don't contain pork. I eat all kinds of meat. So I always order the pork and chive dumplings :D ! Whether you come in on a weekday or weekend, it always helps to come early if you can! If we want to go there for lunch, we try to get there as close to 11 am as possible when they first open. As it gets closer to 12 noon, it starts to get really busy, and it's harder and trickier for the staff to seat you. There is both booth and table seating. It's a great restaurant to catch up with friends, family or even colleagues over a good meal :) ! The parking lot out in front is a pretty decent size. But it can fill up pretty quickly when it gets busy! We also love ordering frozen dumplings to go :D ! For sure, we will definitely come back :D ! Kung Fu Noodle never disappoints :) !

We noticed the decor had changed (yes, I said it had been many years) and it was quite nice! We were seated promptly and placed our drink order (tea came with lunch). We ordered Rangoon as a starter. The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.

Walked in and waited for a few minutes before someone handed us menus and told us to sit wherever. Just handed us menus...in a kind of "just go sit down kinda way". Not real friendly. The appetizer we ordered (veggie steamed dumplings) came out with one less dumpling than promised on the menu. My wife's noodles were nothing special, as was my spicy/numbing pot. I felt my pot in particular, was over-loaded with huge chunks of veggies that could have been better chopped as to be more manageable. More chicken and beef in that chicken and beef pot, too, please ... The person waiting on us, if you could call it that, was not personable and could not have cared less about interacting. His drive by meal drop-offs were the epitome of antisocial. Probably won't return.
