I have been coming to Chin's Garden for several years now, and have always been happy with it, ok actually we have always done carry out, but the location seems like it would be good for dine in as well. This time around we decided to go with a fried and true favorite General Yao's Chicken with steamed rice, but to switch it up and also try the Creamy Shrimp with Walnut. We also ordered some Crab Rangoon, have to always, and decided to try the Fried Mandarin Tofu. Everything was ready quickly and we headed home. The crab Rangoon was as expected good, nice and crispy outer shell, cream cheese filling, so delicious. The Mandarin tofu was a definite let down, no flavor whatsoever, it came with a special spicy sweet and sour kind of sauce which helped but definitely did not save. The main reason we decided to try it was I have seen places that use fried tofu croutons before in a Thai suture salad and it was amazing, so we figured we would switch things up and give it a shot, not worth it. It is unseasoned/un-marinated tofu coated and fried and plated with no seasoning whatsoever. To get them down we added them to the sauce from our entrees to give flavor and it helped, but I would not bother getting again. The General Tso's was as ever very good, nice tender pieces of chicken coated in the sweet and slightly spicy sauce, always a classic. The Creamy Shrimp with Walnut was also quite good, basically their take on honey walnut shrimp, which is what I expected it to be, the flavor was very nice, sweet but not overly so, the shrimp seemed a little inconsistently cooked, some seeming perfect, some a little over cooked, but all in all a nice dish, that I would try again. So if you are in the area and wanting Chinese I definitely think you should give Chin's Garden a chance, just steer clear of the Fried Mandarin Tofu appetizer, stick with their fried dumplings, which are excellent, or some spring rolls, or just like 6 orders of crab rangoon. read more

Can't honestly rate the food. However, the service is abhorrent. Cancelled my online order because they didn't want to stay open past 9pm. Waited 20 minutes before cancelling. Cut off ordering at a specific time instead of allowing an order to be placed, then cancel after someone is on the way to pick it up! read more

The restaurant is under new management. We stopped by for lunch. The staff was friendly and helpful when it came to the menu. They described the items we wanted to order, so that was appreciated. Been there twice... a few steps away from my home. Awful experience both times. That there were NO other diners in the venue both times I was there is/was a red flag. Service is more food court than restaurant. Food (chix & brocc) was edilble, absolutely nothing to rave about, but quite off-putting that I was given the check immediately, told the restaurant was closing and I needed to pay my check asap... it was 8:30 PM. Not sure how this place rates any ranking on Yelp, let alone stay in business. Chin's sits right in the middle for me and here's some highs and lows: first off, they get your food out FAST! No need to expect much of a wait which is always nice, however, you know that comes at the price of the food being prepared far before you ordered it. As for flavor, we ordered a bowl of wonton soup, spring rolls, and lemon chicken. The soup was quite a bang for your buck! Comes in an enormous container plenty for two to share and had a great taste. The spring rolls and lemon chicken were good enough, but not great to the point I'd find myself craving to go back. The lemon sauce was very pungent of lemon in almost an artificial way and the spring rolls didn't taste like much at all, so the included duck sauce was necessary. Overall, I'd go back if I was in the mood for a quick westernized Chinese plate because it's nearby, but wouldn't go out of my way to seek it out. read more

We live close to Chin's Garden and decided to try it out since it is under new management. Let me start by saying that the Pho is out of this world and the sesame chicken and spring rolls were sooo good. I am pretty picky about my Pho and it definitely beats out other restaurants in taste! I will be visiting Chin's Garden and Vietnamese food without a doubt. I will be considered a regular customer from now on and will be having my employee holiday party in their private room. Stopped by for some authentic Asian food and was not disappointed with the new management sweet and sour seemed a little different....but everything else we had there was great , The Pho, Yellow Curry and the Pepper steak were all pretty flavorful and smelled great as well read more

Then asked about a specific sauce and was told it's a $1 more and that I was already charged before saying I wanted it and the guy that I'm assuming is the owner since he's always there got an attitude with me?! I hate to do this because the guy who greeted me was so nice, but this was not good. The rangoons were practically "empty." They were so dry like they had been fried a little too long; all of the cream cheese had dried out or dripped out while they were fried. The triple delight was, well, not quite delightful. It was bathed in a gravy that could only be described as brown. And the triple part of the delight was scarce. Coincidentally, the combination lo mein was bathed in, what appeared and tasted like, the same brown gravy the triple "delight" had been cooked in. But the prices are so ridiculous that if it weren't on my way home or if there was any place as equally conveniently located, I would go there instead. Potstickers were out soon and temperature of stickers was hot and they were good and freshly made and came out yummy. So good. Then wait and wait in restaurant still no customers but an outside pickup. Still wait and wait. Then A single lady customer came in. She Got Her drink and she ordered. Then our Triple Delight orders came out. All food from egg roll. Wonton, fried rice and triple delight were served imo COLD actually food was room temperature. Our meals were sitting, while outside orders were being made. Within about 5 minutes 6 styrofoam pickup orders were brought out of kitchen for pickup.single lady got her meal with us. ( her food was probably hot imo).Only 2 customers in restaurant. Server asked how food was? Yes I did say good tasting food but cold room temperature food was served. This was the craziest experience I've ever had. I call and place an order to go at 7:54pm. He tells me it will be about 15 mins. I am on my way to get my food and I get 11 missed calls from an unknown number. I answer finally after being scared from getting harassed over the phone and the man asks where I'm at to get my food because they close at 8:30pm. I was literally pulling up and their google site says 9pm their online menu says 9:30pm and their door says 9pm. We go inside to pay and explain that they should update their information to avoid this and the man was super rude and said pest control is coming they're closing early. I found Chin's when looking for a quick lunch option that wasn't the usual burgers and fries. They delivered the order quickly and the Lemon Chicken was quite good. We decided to try this establishment on a Friday evening after seeing a Facebook post about supporting local family owned businesses along with the rave reviews it received during the Pandemic. Boy o boy and I glad we tried this establishment, the entire staff that we interacted with (3, rest were in kitchen) were as pleasant and friendly as could be. You could tell they were happy to see and serve their customers. The interior is small but not tiny. The decor is really nice and inviting. Their menu is quite extensive, so you have a lot of choices. We opted for the steamed dumplings (8 pieces per order) as an appetizer and they were tender, piping hot and served with a tasty dipping sauce. My friend chose the Mongolian Beef w/steamed rice, my boyfriend chose the Seafood Delight w/ steamed rice and I chose the Hot & Spicy 3 Delight w/fried rice. All 3 dishes were served family style although 1 dish could've probably fed all 3 of us, since 2 of us had plenty of leftovers for another meal or 2! I also placed a to-go order of their large Hot & Sour Soup and 2 egg rolls for my son. (When I got home the food was still piping hot and the bag itself was packed so smartly by placing a flat cardboard slat in the bottom to help keep the soup from tipping and allowed the egg rolls and addl. condiments for the soup placed next to it). The food was great and the service was even better. This really is a friendly family owned business that truly appreciates their customers and their business. Although, they weren't "packed" for a Friday evening, they did have several customers dining in; however, I was happy to see they had numerous to-go/takeout orders.
