This was quite an impressive winner, considering Vonia nearly always consistently gives the Americanized Chinese establishments no higher than a 2.5, usually less. Why? I have the opinion that each culture should be proud of its own cuisine; "Americanized" should not even be a thing. I understand business is business, and most patrons will want "toned down" dishes that are closer to what their eyes, minds, palates, and stomachs are familiar with, but I do not think this should be encouraged. Sure, sometimes you do not want to try something new; I confess, sometimes I also want the comfort that comes with, well, comfort food. Not every meal needs to be an adventure. For this, Panda Express is an excellent choice, they have it covered; even Pei Wei & P.F. Chang's. Other places, slightly more highly priced, do not need to be Americanized. This place might be an exception! From the exterior advertisements to the inside coupons being offered exclusively for ordering online, it is obvious they want to be a business focused on delivery & takeout, not so much dining in experiences. This is further confirmed to see there are but 2 employees in the front of house that will have to cover any serving, waitering, in addition to cashiering for any orders to go. First win is that these two ladies were very welcoming, customer service was great, they were nice, made sure we good what we needed. Inside ambiance, clean, simple, maybe even sleek. Well lit, maybe plain but most everything you need seems to be on the tables already, including scattered menus- some you may need to take one from the front- but the soy sauce, salt, pepper, hot sauce, utensils, even plates are there! There are more than ten tables, absolutely you can dine in should you desire that. Next win, quick service. Maybe 15 total minutes to produce our two dishes after we placed the order. We requested no onions, scallions in either, they remembered. (Based on the frequency that dining establishments somehow forget special requests, this is actually a significant win!) We did get takeout, they were generous with the condiments, and I took some time to feed my camera. They looked over but continued to be friendly through the end, when they graciously bid us a great night, even though I did my pictures, taking out the takeout, even though all I did was put it back in and leave. Now the food. Yes, Americanized, but also so fresh and well executed, I do not mind nearly as much. Also, there are some elements that are genuine Chinese, at least leaning that way. Glad the woman who took my order understood my Mandarin! The Combination Lo Mein was flavorful, white meat chicken tender, shrimp, beefs, also tender and well sauced. Wish it had more vegetables than the minimal napa cabbage. The second dish, Beef Vegetable, with Fried Rice. Have to say, even the fried rice was flavorsome and noticeably better than the usual Chinese takeout. Still plain, but that is to be expected mostly. Near in the main entree was wading, not drowning in the brown sauce. Had larger portions for the napa cabbage, white mushroom, carrots, broccoli, bamboo, baby corn. Cooked well, satisfying. Portion sizes were fulfilling. The Lo Mein noodles were not the thin egg noodles used for authentic chow mein, the fried rice was assuredly not the traditional Yangzhou Chinese fried rice. The dinner was 5 stars within the context of Americanized Chinese, but within a general dining experience, it was not the best of the best. Have no issues with returning. Looking forward to it, in fact. Confidently recommended for a fast, flavorsome, friendly, fresh meal!

China Town Stir fry with beef, chicken, shrimp, mixed Asian vegetables and a brown sauce.

New place near Fort Sam Houston and Terrell Hills. Nice environment, friendly staff, an extensive menu (including low calorie and vegetarian). The Kung Pow chicken was also great with just the right spice.

The seating time took about 30 seconds and was spacious so my wheelchair wasn't hitting any other tables. The staff was nice, very hard working and the food was brought to us in less then 15 minutes. The first thing We recieved was the bulgogi (Korean beef short ribs) and it came with rice and all these amazing side dishes The flavor of the beef was super tender, delicious, and the best seasoned beef in all of San Antonio We also got the hangover beef stew soup and every single bit was filled with perfectly cooked vegetables with tender bits of beef and with the most flavorful broth, not too spicy but with a little kick. Delicious and it also came with a side of rice. I give the bulgogi a 9/10 And the hangover soup 10/10 Super delicious

There were 7 different banchan options, and some were great while others were just okay. The fish cake and kimchi cucumbers were good, but others like the kimchi and the bean sprouts could have used more flavor. As an entree, I ordered the spicy tofu soup, but I wish it was a little spicier! The soup also had a stronger seafood/fish taste compared to other tofu soups I've had, which I didn't expect. The service was just okay, not rude but also not excessively nice. I liked how cozy the inside felt with the dim lighting!

The service was great we were seated immediately, checked on several times, and the food came out quickly. Everyone was also friendly and welcoming. We tried the egg rolls, crab rangoon dip, cornbread, Spam fried rice, and honey walnut shrimp. Every dish was a 10/10 with great flavor and something unique to offer. The crab rangoon dip and cornbread stood out the most among the appetizers. The dip was an absolute hit and is something I'd definitely recommend. The cornbread had a subtle sweetness that paired well with its flavor. I also liked how it had a waffle shape to it, very different. I was a bit skeptical about the honey walnut shrimp at first because it looked pretty simple, but it ended up being delicious. The Spam fried rice was also nice, the pineapple paired great in it. Everything felt shareable its great spot to order several dishes for the table. If you check out this place, I'd recommend going with a group. The vibe was laid back, and the decor really tied everything together, making it feel like a fun hangout spot with a lot of personality.

It's funky to find, because the entrance is in an alley. We were a party of 17, with many separate checks. Cat did an amazing job at keeping up with everyone's orders and drink replenishments! They have a little happy hour menu with a couple drinks and food items. We got the $1 egg rolls and they were basic egg rolls. I got ginger noodles and added chicken and I wasn't crazy about them...they were ok. Someone got the spam fried rice and I tried that and it was fantastic. Many of their plates are shareable. Parking was a pain, so I may not go back. But it's worth the experience.

My favorite was probably the roasted brussels sprouts and I would def come back just for those alone. The boba was really disappointing, you can't really taste the alcohol which I guess could be a good thing if you don't like tasting alcohol but if you're paying $14 for boba, it might as well be good and it wasn't the salted limeade was mid I was expecting something similar to chanh muoi (iykyk) but it literally tasted like limeade from concentrate with salt stirred in Brussels sprouts - 11/10 Garlicky noodles - 8/10 Impossible potstickers - 8.5/10 Overachiever (boozy boba) - 3/10 Salted limeade - 4/10
