I was craving a Chinese buffet and I went on Yelp and found one. It was about five minutes away from where I was today. Although the stars are low for this place, I give it a four stars because the food was absolutely amazing! So flavorful and there's a myriad of options! When I arrived, there was a little bit of a line, but it went by quickly. There was the manager in the front and the hostess. It's $20 for dinner meal, it does not include a drink so you have to pay extra for that. I just got water. I had my service dog with me. The waitresses were attentive. I didn't see if they have snow crab legs or if they have them on different nights, but that's the only thing that I saw was missing. they do have deep fried crab, though, which was delicious. Cleanliness: it looks clean to me, but I saw it on other reviews do not eat the ice cream because the ice cream tasted like metal. So maybe they may have to clean the ice cream machine... I didn't see one when I was there, but I really didn't get much deserts. I just got Jell-O and a cheesecake bite. I'm helping all the staff workers are using gloves when they are preparing food. So far, this has been the best buffet taste wise in San Diego I've tried. read more

For the price it's good if you're just trying to fill up on something and can't afford kbbq at the moment. Service/ Quality definitely has worsened post covid. Don't expect a squeaky clean environment. This place has Chinese food with the regular degular dishes. I remember they used to have egg tarts, not no more. Tried this place out after seeing a TikTok about the quality and selection. Used to come here before but was never really impressed by anything. Gave it another shot...but sadly to say I shouldn't have. First off, when you are paying they tell you to choose a drink not letting you know it's an ADDITIONAL charge on top of the buffet price. The little girl at the front needs to clarify that next instead of telling us to choose a drink to offer us a drink for additional cost if you would like. On to the food, typical sub standard Chinese buffet with your traditional carb dishes, meat dishes, and sushi. Nothing stood out as far as flavor or there lack of. The salt and pepper chicken wings were had a slight sweetness to them but they were fresh and hit. So that was nice. Service, non existent. DO NOT EAT HERE. Drove 20 minutes to eat here, and when you get inside, they charge you double what they actually advertise. Not only on the window right outside the door, but on the website it says 10.99 for lunch, I get inside and they charge me over $20. I ask the lady at the front desk what happened and she said that they don't have access to their own website, which I don't believe. She was extremely rude and dismissive of me, even enrolling her eyes and scoffing out loud. I pay anyway because I drove so far to eat here, and the food is disgusting. All of the chicken and beef is extremely overcooked, chewy, and tastes like cardboard. The rice tastes like it has been sitting out for hours and hours. I had the hot shrimp dish, and it tasted sour and funky ... They advertise and have pictures of sashimi and nigiri, but have none of that, and the sushi roll they DO have are some of the smallest rolls I've ever seen. All of the desserts have zero flavor, and the melon fruit was all rock hard. I had three different sodas and they all had zero carbonation, like their machine was broken or something. I went to eat with my uncle to celebrate Veterans Day, they first Don't follow the prices that are displayed. We got charged for dinner specials and were informed dinner was charged all day, even though we came in at lunch time. As I'm enjoying food with the family, I started to feel an irritable sensation in the back of my throat as I felt like I was choking. It wouldn't disappear and had to force myself to regurgitate to get it out. I spent half the Time in the restaurant restroom. I had put fried rice and orange chicken not once did I have fish. Although, I did end up with a fishbone the size of a quarter lodge in my tonsil. The spikey side was stuck in my tonsil and thankfully I didn't have to go the e.r due to my girlfriend pulling it out with a set of tweezers. The next trip was the e.r. Went here with buddy within last two weeks, we tried making reservation online apparently with google ai annnd that didn't do it but luckily when got into restaurant they had space for us the time we arrived, we stay about 2 hours Gorged with jello and lots of healthy options and vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Pay up front when you walk in (soda costs extra) , then immediately get shown your table, and then start grubbing. Went in to pick up an order on/at a scheduled date/time that was placed five days in advanced. Granted, I arrived 7 minutes late- but was told that the food would be "out in a minute". Cool. After 30 minutes, I followed up with the status of the order. I was told it would "be right out". Not surprising considering I had to pick up an order (placed/paid for in advanced) three months ago, and it took 30 minutes to come out. I followed up around the 40 minute mark, and was told I could speak to the supervisor. I didn't ask for the supervisor- the lady at the front desk took it upon herself to offer the supervisor's presence. When I followed up for the supervisor, she said the supervisor would "be right out". By the 50 minute mark, I followed up for the supervisor again and was told the supervisor was "busy". The food came out around the 55 minute mark. The lady who brought the food out did offer to take the food out to the car, which I declined. I told her I was waiting to speak to the supervisor and she said the supervisor wasn't in. I told her the other lady said the supervisor would be right out. Then, that initial lady said she didn't know the supervisor was out. I asked her then who told her the supervisor would be right out? Who told her the supervisor was busy? Then, she said she didn't know the supervisor was out til she called. Called who? Make it make sense. I asked her why she didn't just tell me the supervisor wasn't in when she found out. She didn't have an answer for anything. At that point, supposedly, they called the supervisor and said the supervisor was 30 minutes away - if I wanted to wait. Tf? For what? I realized I can't expect the staff members to have any kind of customer service if the supervisor isn't even present. Not once did any of the front desk follow up on the status of my order without me asking- which actually seemed to have bothered them. They stood up there- conversing upon themselves, on their phones, and eating. Not once did anyone take accountability for being 55 minutes late with an order that was placed five days in advanced. The two excuses they gave me were the same two excuses they gave me last time: (1) the staff in the morning didn't put the order in, and (2) the lady at the register just got in- even tho she was there before I was, plus the 55 minutes I was there so no she didn't just get there. I wasn't looking for an apology, discount, or anything like that. A little bit of professionalism and accountability would've gone a long way. Had I known it was going to take 55 minutes, I could have rerouted the rest of my pick ups- instead of waiting for something and/or someone to be "right out" and being late to an event in which I was in charge of food pick up. 5 stars for the salted pepper shrimp tho! and the staff working on the inside. Side note: No CASHIER was called any names- the person I was on the phone with, maybe. Lol. She must've felt some type of way when I was on the phone and said "this b**** is over here eating ice cream"- meaning the person I was on the phone with, considering I was going on minute 40 of 55 waiting for the food to be brought out while they were grabbing ice cream at another shop. I can see how the lady with the pink nails felt some type of way tho cause she was actually eating ice cream or frozen yogurt (not pictured) while she was up there. It is more of a 2.5 star experience. It is a cheap basic all you can eat chinese buffet. The selection is ok compared to similar like buffets. They do not have a large selection of items. They have a very small sushi selection off to one side I missed the first time walking around. It looks like it is massed prepared in the back then brought out. Other restaurants sort of make it fresh in front of the patrons during the day. The chicken dishes were pretty good. I usually fine the chicken dishes at the local chinese buffets to be the better tasting options. The dessert selection is located in an alcove in the back. It reminded me of a supermarket or a fast food location with the fast food style refrigerator. Staff was ok. I was seated pretty quickly and my drink was delivered quickly. For $16 dinner buffet, you really can't complain. All you can eat fried whole crabs, baby back ribs, shrimp, clams, mussels, sushi, and all sorts of carbs, salad, dessert and pastries. The trays are never empty for more than a minute or two, you can hear the kitchen staff working over drive to pump out fresh food constantly. People say service is "bad" but what do you expect when a restaurant is at 100% capacity, all the servers are working on over drive, busing tables while getting everyone's drink orders. My server was attentive and cleaned our table after each round of food and filled our cups with drinks once we finished a full glass. During dinner time, the line goes out the door but I only had to wait 10 mins. I was worried if this buffet will survive during the pandemic and I'm so happy to see it thriving. This is the first time I've been to a Chinese buffet with a line out the door. Super nice waitstaff, they take your finished plates and refill your drinks with a friendly attitude. Food dishes were always replenished in a timely matter, so you know that entree wasn't just sitting there in the heat lamp. The food itself was fresh and of good quality compared to other similar buffets I've been too. We were pleasantly surprised with the service during our past visit. We usually come right before lunch hour, there's more food options and everything seems to be fresh.
