I was genuinely impressed with my overall experience at Elite Buffet. I'll admit, I was hesitant to drive to this side of town because of some of the reviews, but I was craving comfort food after a rough week. You pay before you sit down, which makes sense to keep things simple and avoid walkouts. The place isn't big, and the ambiance is pretty plain, but that didn't bother me. They don't have a massive selection, but what they do serve is done right and fresh. It's standard Chinese buffet food, but better than the others in the area that I've tried, especially when you factor in the price. The standout for me was their fried shrimp. Most buffets don't even bother cleaning them, and I've lost my appetite more than once because of that. I grabbed a couple to test, and to my surprise, they were actually cleaned, no gross black line (IYKYK). Went back for more to maybe see if I just got lucky, but was surprised they were all "waste-free". That alone kept me in a good mood. Other favorites were the baked salmon (not dry like some places), crispy plantains, and the little bite-sized rangoons. They had the perfect ratio of cream cheese to crab and seasoning. Could've easily eaten a whole bowl of them, but I didn't want to make myself sick lol. It's a full self-serve setup, including your own drinks, but everything was stocked and clean. Stopped here @2 hours to closing since I was in the area. It was good because they were still putting out fresh food trays. There was a really good variety of food and nothing I ate was bad (always a good thing). Typical strip mall Buffett meaning nothing fancy, but they were cleaning /sweeping and wiping the food counters down regularly while I was there, again, that's always a good sign. The Buffett wasn't amazing but like I said, nothing was bad so it's definitely place to bring the kids!! We've been coming for probably 10 years here,(pre-Yelp times)and this includes many of my family members and extended friends too for birthdays and such. Visits have been very spread apart, but good quality every time. Buffets in general are naturally more quantity than quality anyways, but I've found that "good" Chinese ones are far and few between. And we've tried several, and of course casino buffets I categorize differently. One of the things I noticed right away was actual Asian(presumably Chinese)people work here. Even in the kitchen. Really. I constantly see them coming out to reload the the food trays, and at least 75% of these choices are better than average. It is definitely a chicken-heavy buffet, but items such as the soft-shelled crab, the salmon/cheese bake should not be overlooked. Plenty of shrimp different ways also. You should be able to find something you can groove on. Fresh sushi rolls made here are better than you'd expect too. I mean for under $15, you can gorge to your heart's content. I'll totally admit I might be a little generous with the 4 stars, but honestly they have been unmatched in quality. Maybe there really is a 5 star Chinese buffet out there, and if you find one please tell me where.. I was there today and saw disgusting thing. One of the workers was putting new food on the buffet tables. That person had food gloves on hands, seems hygienic right? But that wasn't a case. That person touched cart with gloves, then wiped counter top with yellowish washcloth, then putted fresh food on trays. The disgusting part is that person touched food with same gloves without serving utensils and combined trays . The gloves should have been changed between tasks to prevent cross-contamination. I have been to Elite Buffet years ago and I enjoyed it. This time in 2022 it was not a good and tasty experience. The food was cold and it did not have flavor. My party was there for no more than 15 minutes or less and we wanted a refund and the woman at the counter didn't understand what we were asking. She gave one to go plate and still didn't attempt to see what the issues were. There was nothing there we wanted to take. The lobster roll was not good. The cheesy lobster wasn't good. Even the garlic bread was too hard to eat. The woman said the food was fresh however, it didn't taste fresh at all. They had stuff that looked burnt and the ambrosia salad was sour which was at all how it should be in my mind. The woman said she would speak to the owner which she didn't do. We got there around 12:05 and are already gone at 12:27. I would not go back to this place again. I don't know if COVID caused the decline in quality but something sure had affected it. We left with no refund and hungry. Not a good look Elite Buffet. If it could be zero stars believe me it would be. read more

Pleasant surprise! Fairly clean - not pristine - for $20 it's a pretty good deal. The food was all pretty tasty and hot. I tried the teriyaki chicken, spring rolls, wontons, lo mein, egg drop soup, fried zucchini, orange chicken, stuffed mushrooms, chicken dumplings and a few other things and everything was pretty good!
