Supposed to be white rice but it's brown and hard as a rock

if i could give zero stars I would absolutely the worst Chinese food I've ever ate. Food was so stale ordered crab Rangoon and shrimp fried rice the Rangoon was cream cheese only, I could have dealt with with but it was also very stale and hard. the rice was horrible. I went right before closing so I couldn't bring it back. I'm honestly thinking bringing all of this food back in the morning it was that bad. Please do not go here

Not sure what's going on but the last few times I ordered food from here was not the best. This time around, it was as though no effort was put into cooking the food. I ordered shrimp fried rice, for starters the rice didn't even look like your typical fried rice. It looked as if they warmed up white rice, put some veggies in it and served it. The shrimp were mushy which made the rice even more unpleasant to eat. The wonton soup was awful, it was as if they poured straight soy sauce in the container in replace of broth causing it to be very salty to the point I couldn't even eat it. I normally don't do reviews where I can't find anything positive to say, unfortunately this will be my last go round with this establishment. The crazy thing is their fried rice happens to be one of their best menu options. I would just tread lightly if you order from here.

We came in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We were asked if we prefer a booth or table (absolutely love this as I prefer a booth). The service was top notch! It was a relatively quiet lunch. I got the general tsos chicken and it was sooo yummy ! My dish came with fried rice but I substituted it for low mein. This was a $2 upcharge. Their sweet and sour sauce is delicious. We will definitely be going back !

I tried China Wok for the first time and enjoyed all the food. Everything tasted great. The only item that needed more flavor was the fried rice. The fried rice was pretty bland tasting. I would suggest adding egg to the rice and some teriyaki for flavor. I would go back and grab a meal again.

Tried out China Wok this past weekend and it did not disappoint. This is near the Zona Rosa Shopping area. We ordered online for pick up. When we arrived, there was tons of parking and the food was right away. Food was ready super fast. We took everything home and we're given tons of food. The portions were huge and prices were great. I would highly recommend getting the lunch specials as you tons of food for under $9. I would recommend the general Taos chicken and the crab ragoons. The sauce is super good and flavorful. The perfect Sunday night meal.

They've done an excellent job keeping the old aesthetic while making it still look fresh and new. The restaurant was so cool but oddly not one other patron in the space. My partners second visit and her second time with a fairly empty restaurant. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's an excellent space but possibly more of a to go spot despite the beautiful restaurant space. The menu is fairly trim but has flavors of east Asia and south eastern Asia. So pho, Chinese and I believe they had some Thai. The food was very good, our egg roll was perfectly crispy and my entree Mongolian beef was delicious. Lots and lots of veggies which is a great surprise for Chinese dishes. I'll definitely be back to try the beef and broccoli soon!

I usually come here for dim sum, and it is upsetting for me to say that my husband and I should've chose somewhere else to eat for dinner. For dinner, we ordered fried rice and chow fun. Those two main entrées were okay. You can't really mess up those two fillers at an Asian restaurant. We ordered scallion pancakes- they came out soggy and soft. Not even crispy like how they usually are. The flavor wasn't there either. If I wanted microwaved scallion pancakes, then I would've bought them from the store and made them myself. My husband ordered the short ribs- they were bland and tough like rubber. It had a funky taste to it that he couldn't describe and he had to force himself to swallow it because he didn't want food to go to waste. I ordered the chicken feet- this is one of dim sum's signature dishes and I am so upset I didn't even get to enjoy one of the dishes I always order. It was dry and the flavor wasn't there. The service was fantastic. They checked in on us and made sure our water was filled. The timing of the food coming in and out was fine. The ambiance was inviting. There was a sense of urgency and I appreciated that.

You do have…read moreto pull off of a busy road straight into the lot, but it's easy to find in the strip of stores and there were plenty of spaces. By the time I grabbed our food and headed back out, the front spots had already opened up again. We did two lunch specials for around $20 total, which feels like a steal for how much food you get and how good it was. We ordered the Chicken with Cashew and the General Tso's lunch specials, both came with soup and a side. The cashew chicken was seriously incredible. A lot of places overload this dish with veggies until it turns into chaos, but this one was balanced with the right mix of ingredients and is easily one of my new favorites in KC. Only bummer: hardly any cashews. Still delicious, but I wanted a little more cashew love. Crab rangoons were hot and crispy with a solid filling even after a bit of a drive home. The fried rice had great flavor, and the steamed white rice was bouncy and soft, not that kind with crispy dry edges. Both soups were spot on, and THANK YOU for including wonton strips. A lot of places skip them and it really can make or break egg drop soup for me. General Tso's had great flavor, but the chicken pieces were a little big and it wasn't very spicy, even though we didn't order it no spicy. Not a dealbreaker, just something to know if you want that classic kick. Inside is clean and cute with tables for about 8 to 10 small groups, the front desk is toward the back, and everyone was kind and helpful. As an Elite, I also loved seeing their Yelp pride around the restaurant. Overall, super solid lunch specials and I'll absolutely be back!!
