    Egg Roll
    Mark K.

We've been on a long mission to find good local Chinese take-out. A friend who lives a few blocks away from China Wok recommended them, even though they are about ten minutes from home. Tonight we placed our second order in a week and they did not disappoint. We called in our order, they double checked everything with us and told us 15-20 minutes each time. When I arrived they had the front door propped open and had installed an acrylic barrier with a sliding door. The barrier also had a table with a drawer marked for cash, a box containing a credit card reader, and a bottle of hand sanitizer. Additionally, they had moved their register table and condiments to the doorway. No one could enter the building, everything was handled from the doorway. The employee at the door was wearing a mask and took your phone number to retrieve your order. All of the food we received was hot and well prepared. Over two visits we had a number of dishes. The Steamed Dumplings ($5.65) had eight big dumplings with a lot of tasty filling. The Egg Rolls, included with the combination entrees were crisp, not greasy, and packed with filling. My husband ordered the General Tso's Chicken Combo ($8.35) both times. While it's his go-to and he said it was very good, it lacked spice for his taste. On one visit I had a small Hot and Spicy Shrimp ($6.75) it came with six large shrimp and a ton of stirfried onions, peas, and carrots with just enough spice. The second time I ordered the Chicken with Garlic Sauce Combo ($8.35) it had plenty of thin-sliced moist chicken, lots of stirfried vegetables, and a rich spicy brown sauce. We're really happy with the quality, service, and price and are happy to drive a little farther for great Chinese food.

Portion getting smaller and smaller. This had been my togo take out chinese place. Been ordering here since 2007. The taste never disappoints but the portions are getting smaller and smaller. Especially with their chicken wings and fried rice. Smaller chicken wings and about a cup and half of fried rice. They changed from styrofoam to plastic container.

Lunch Special - Sweet & Sour Chicken with Pork Fried Rice

Surprisingly good for what it is, and miles above the other fast food Chinese restaurants I've been to in the area. Considering how quick and cheap they are, their quality is not bad at all. One thing that I LOVE is that they put the sauce for my sweet and sour chicken in a separate container, so it was still perfectly crunchy when I got home instead of soggy from swimming in sauce. Wonderful! The chicken was all white meat, and the sauce was nicely tangy without being overpowering. The pork fried rice was obviously made with frozen vegetables, but I appreciate that there were lots of veggies and even little chunks of pork in it. It was tasty but a very mild flavor. The wonton soup, I was told, is pork dumplings in chicken broth. The broth is delicious, but I was not a big fan of the wontons, which they do not skimp on. The wonton wrappers were very thick and doughy, which is not to my liking, but that's just a personal preference (I like the ones with the paper-thin, almost see-through wrappers that practically melt in your mouth). Overall, this is great fast food and I am looking forward to trying more items on the menu. The only thing that could make them better, in my opinion, would be to deliver. Currently (Mar. 2016) only dine in/take out.

I visited before a Rays game and was immediately impressed by both the service and the food. The staff was attentive without hovering, the pacing was excellent, and the entire experience felt polished and intentional. I ordered the Bibimbap with bulgogi steak, tofu, fried egg, kimchi, vegetables, gochujang, and crispy rice, along with two spring rolls. What stood out most was the balance. The dish delivered heat, sweetness, savory depth, texture, and freshness without relying on heavy sauces or excessive portions. Every ingredient maintained its own identity while contributing to the overall flavor of the dish. Too many restaurants create flavor by drowning food in sauce. Hawkers does it through seasoning, spices, and technique. There was no puddle of sauce at the bottom of the bowl, no overly sweet glaze, and no greasy heaviness. The rice absorbed flavor without becoming soggy, and the kimchi, vegetables, egg, tofu, and bulgogi worked together beautifully. The spring rolls were equally impressive. Light, crisp, delicate, and perfectly executed, with a thin wrapper and just the right amount of crunch. What impressed me most was that I left satisfied, not stuffed. The portions were thoughtful, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were layered rather than overwhelming. Since moving to Florida, this ranks as one of the best restaurant meals I have had. Highly recommended.

As I'm not a particular fan of Chinese food, my lovely bride is my specialist on the genre. The ambiance: Chinese restaurants are known for their lack of ambiance. ABC (the name still slays me) wasn't anything special but they did have plenty of Chinese News Years celebration material everywhere which did brighten up the place. The food: We ordered the hot and sour soup which was spot on. My bride thinks most make it too spicy. From there we ordered the fried dumplings which were deep fried. They were good but we prefer them pan fried.on to the General Tause Chicken which was excellent. On to fried Tofu which was also made to perfection. Our last additions was the Chinese Broccoli which I had never had but was surprisingly good. Finally, we had the fried rose which was ok but not stand out. The service: Our server was super and served us with a smile and made sure she recommended several dishes that proved to be winners. The bottom line: As with all my reviews, my "customers so what" , would I come back? In my brides case... absolutely and I as a faithful husband would be tagging along

We always get a lo mein, bourbon chicken, crab rangoon, and general tsos. They are consistently good and I can't tell you the last time they've messed up our order or given us less than ideal food. The food and menu hasn't changed over the years and neither has the quality. I know the place only had 4 stars, but I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will defend it to anyone.
