    Beef and bbq mac

The wait here was so long so I knew this place had to be good. It was a packed restaurant and great vibe all around with a little beer garden outside for those that are waiting while they wait. I got one of the items of their seasonal menu as they have 3 different menus in the summer that match up with different weekly times menus. I went with the BBQ and beef Mac which is no longer on the menu but it was amazing and soooo fulling. Definitely worth the wait unique spot in Gettysburg

We enjoyed our lunch stop here. The service was very attentive, the ambiance busy yet easy to converse and the food was very good.

We sat outside under the covered patio with our dog who was promptly treated to a bowl of cold water. The patio was comfortable and the interior was equally pleasant. Our server was extremely nice and food came out very quickly and at the perfect temperature. We ordered the seared ahi tuna which was seared to perfection under a sesame crust and served with wasabi mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The tuna was nicely seasoned and a solid portion. The spicy burger was a beautiful presentation and equally as tasty-loaded with juicy beef, crispy onions and spicy peppers. The chef did an amazing job with presentation and an equally great cook on the taste.

First time here and enjoyed it. Nice vibe. Ordered the pierogies as an appetizer. Pierogies = 5/5 Also had the nachos with added chicken 4/5 (needed more cheese, hardly any) Meatloaf = 4/5 (was good but lacking any of the ketchup type sauce that typically comes on meatloaf) Calzone = 4/5 Dessert Elephant ear = 5/5 (like a churro with ice cream) Service was friendly. Overall 4.5

Really cool spot. Tons of outdoor seating where you can order from the side window and have it brought out to you. It gets packed at night. You highly recommend a reservation if you want to be inside. The spinach dip was really good; I like how it came with pita and veggies. The beers were good too. They had a nice variety.

This is the burger that has the pulled pork on top of it and instead of fries. I went ahead and got a salad and everything was delicious

Phenomenal food, service and drinks. The prices is.just right too. I got the burger with the pulled pork on top of it and it was absolutely amazing. The burger was cooked perfectly. I also got a blueberry sour beer. I don't remember the name of it but it was absolutely amazing and I got some to go and I paid $15 for four 16 oz beers.

A fast friendly service. We tried their jalapeno poppers, mac and cheese, Cali club quesadilla, and Blue ridge boli calzone. We tried their homemade Rootbeer and Birchbeer as well. Everything tasted wonderful and had great flavor. Their Rootbeer was our favorite.

We needed lunch after a morning on the battlefield, and arrived about 11:45 on a Tuesday. The place filled up quick! Friendly staff, good beer options, and tasty food. I enjoyed my Thai peanut bowl, tasted some divine pierogis and sausage, and had a bite of the hot honey flatbread (too spicy for me).

Stopped in for a beer with my dad on a Thursday afternoon. We were able to sit at a high top by the bar and catch some college football. Our server was also the bartender and she was quick and very friendly. She brought out our beers within a few minutes and kindly brought me a sample of the water gap wheat. We thought both the pineapple upside down sour and the hefe had great flavor. The sour wasn't too sweet and the hefe had just the right amount of wheatiness. The water gap wheat didn't disappoint either! We ended up purchasing a 6-pack to go for under $10. We didn't try any of the food, but everything I saw going by looked and smelled delicious. Bathrooms were clean and spacious!

I can't tell you how many times that medium is what I usually get when requesting medium-rare at restaurants. There's a big difference between the two in terms of internal temperature, center color, and texture. This place knows how to properly cook a medium-rare burger, and for me, that's a sign of quality and sets it apart. The sidewinder fries are fab as are the homemade potato chips and either comes with burgers. The dressing on the coleslaw needs some seasoning, but the slaw itself is fresh and crunchy. The Maryland crab soup is pretty slammin', too. I favor the back dining room, not the bar (in front). These 2 areas have different vibes. The back room feels like the way a burger joint should be. The bar is, well, more bar-ish. One of the servers, Brody, provides exceptional service--a shout out to him. This establishment's name is playful and clearly informs the customer as to what their specialty is: hamburgers. I bought one of their T-shirts, perhaps that says it all.

I should've left and found another option altogether. We both ordered burgers (of course), his a bacon cheeseburger with fries and coleslaw, mine a patty melt on rye bread with Swiss cheese, fries and coleslaw. Both medium rare. Both came out medium well, no coleslaw, one invisible slice of cheese on each burger and white bread instead of rye on my patty melt. The grilled onions actually looked more like onion jam and the trays with black/white checkered paper this is served on looks like it's never seen a sponge or water. No, I can't recommend this place.

We'd spent an entire day touring the battlefield, it's a Saturday, and the town is full of tourists. No surprise we had a thirty minute wait for a table. But once inside and seated, it was clear to us that the B & G was no ordinary bar & grill. The burgers are themed for generals, both Federal and Confederate, who took part in the battle. Each burger is characterized by the general it's named for. The General Buford, for example, is served with bleu cheese crumbles and horseradish (he's a cavalry officer, get it?) and the Robert E. Lee features a slab of Virginia ham. I ordered the General George Meade. Meade was a Pennsylvanian, so naturally this burger comes with a pile of Philly cheesesteak. A carnivore's delight, to be sure. No complaints here. And if I'm ever back this way, I'm curious to try the General Longstreet: it's served with carmelized onions and peanut butter. That's gotta be good.

Lots of different wing choices too. Very little choices for entrées. More like an afterthought. Our waitress, bless her heart looked overwhelmed. I asked for a specific type of beer. "Oh im a girl, I dont know beers" say what? Then hands me a hand written list of beers to choose from. Also she totally forgot to put in one of the orders, for a table of 7. Yea, how do you miss a whole meal??? I asked for a medium burger, got medium rare. Along with cold fries. Who eats rare burgers??? The burger was delicious, but too rare for me (got the blue cheese one, named after some general) Overall I wouldn't recommend this place unless all you want is burgers and wings. Cause thats all they have. Oh and expect to wait in line with everyone else for a table. The place is smaller than it looks.

We all shared a fried pickle app. Fried pickles were standard with a house made dill type dip. Dip was good but portion could be a bit larger. Poutine was ok. I'm not a fan of cornstarch dusted fries-so there's that. The short rib was tender and plentiful. Oddly, though the short rib and the gravy didn't have a very beefy flavor. So the poutine was sadly underwhelming in my point of view. The portion is large enough to definitely share. My daughter's chicken thigh sandwich was good. She thought it was flavorful the sauce on. It was nothing to write home about. The house made chips were OK. My mom's cheeseburger looks really good. It was cooked just as she ordered. She said it was very tasty. It came with like a barbecue sauce on it, but she said overall was very good. They have a rather large drink menu with products from their distillery. The prices were not crazy. That skillet of poutine was $16. Total bill for three of us with fountain sodas an iced tea, our bill was $82. They have a bar it is somewhat kid friendly so give it a try.

My wife and I both had the shrimp baskets and two soft drinks for lunch. The shrimp baskets were $17 each and the soft drinks $3 each. With tax and tips the total bill came to $50. The shrimp were obviously pre-battered and frozen but they were pretty tasty. The french fries had some kind of a nice crispy coating and were excellent. The coleslaw was pretty tired. The service was cordial and quick. The decor is as I remembered very nice. There is free parking behind this restaurant, but not many people know it is there. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is because I think that the cost of the luncheon was a little more than it should've been for what we received. Had the shrimp been coated with a batter and fried from scratch (instead of being taken out of a frozen bag) I might've been able to award five stars. But... All in all this restaurant continues to hold its "very good to excellent" reputation for food and service over many years. I would die there again and I would recommend it with no reservations.
