    Bullet chicken with rice
    Tiff H.

Thanks to my wax technician (don't ask) and my Pakistani bestie, I found Chinese Dhaba in Duluth. I had eaten it as takeout before. Even so, I hadn't known exactly what was ordered and what my favorite dishes were called, but my friend made sure I ordered the bullet chicken. This was first experience eating Indo-Chinese food and I'm loving it. The restaurant interior was a bit dark and drab. It was empty aside from some people getting to-go orders. Seems like the popular thing to do - I wish there was a location in Dunwoody or the surrounding area that I could do the same! We walked up to the register and ordered the bullet chicken and a dessert, too. And my God, the chicken was so good. It was like a better version of sweet and sour or orange chicken once it's been drenched in sauce. The marinated fried chicken was delicious and went well with rice. We literally ate every onion and piece of chicken on the platter. My friend also ordered a dessert, the Shahi Falooda - I'm not sure I was a fan. It was some sort of sweet condensed milk dessert with glass noodle (vermicelli) soaking in the melted ice cream mixture. The slimy al dente consistency and the sickly sweet rose syrup on time was a bit much. The nuts were a nice touch - but not enough to turn my perspective on the "treat". Would not recommend... BUT YES GET THE BULLET CHICKEN OMG I probably could eat that everyday if I could...

A Pakistan cream soda. Kind of odd-like baby powder on ice. But when in Rome....

My daughter brought me down here craving the noodles, chicken chili and rice. Just down Breckinridge towards pleasant hill, is a little ethnic small 2 building strip mall. Chinese Dhaba is an Indian Chinese place in the center and a place she loves. This is the real deal! Chili paste on the table, cold drinks in the cooler, this is a stand and order to go or eat in. No booze which is ok For a spicy fix, this was great food at a good price. Served on paper plates- the thick ones- we had a beef entree , pile of white rice and chicken chili in a bowl that was delicious. She really came for the noodles. Spicy chicken, excellent texture, a lot of food. She was sooo happy and we sat and talked and could barely make a dent and ended up taking 2 plates home. Simple, good food, nothing special or fancy, just the real deal. Cant wait to get a spicy curry next visit but will be back for sure. Nice owner and enjoyable quiet evening meal . I was happy she was so happy but loved every bite! In a rush, get to go or pick a table and have water ready if you opt for hot. Hot can be hot!! Really a treat. Highly recommend you try his out. Doesn't look like much but we go for the food here not the decor and real plates. Really good!!

Chinese Dhaba as the names suggests is an indo Chinese fusion fast food restaurant. "Dhaba" in India is "tapas" or street food! And that is really what you get here. It's what you expect. Nothing more nothing less! Prices of everything on their menu are mostly $10 or lower. Which is very reasonable. I ordered the chili garlic noodles which costed about $9 with tax and the quantity can feed 2 easily! The crispy chili shrimp was spicy and had a good kick to it! Ordered their bullet chicken too, but I felt the base of the masalas were the same and didn't find it as good as the shrimp! Please note that the shrimp comes tail on. Showed my Yelp for the 10% checkin discount. The manager wasn't exactly aware of this promotion and it took a while for them to process it but they finally gave it. Finding parking was super easy at this location and there are many stores and multi cuisine restaurants in the same area!

It's a good place for Indian Chinese. We like cauliflower Manchuria, it's hot and spicy! Does not come with rice. You can always do a side of steamed rice and it is very satisfying. Bit on the oily side can ask them to make it less oily in the future. Forgot to add if they add ojino Moto! It's better to check. Have tried their faluda once. Was toooo sweet!

I was a huge fan of this place when it was strictly Japanese...and was quite bummed when I heard…read morethey changed this restaurant from Japanese to Asian fusion. In any case, I finally decided to check out the place for dinner. Well, right away, I saw that they added more tables. Even with more tables, the restaurant still seemed pretty spacious. I've always loved the spaciousness of this place...but I find the layout a bit awkward. Unless you come with a group of 4, you'll most likely be seated in the open area...where there's just this utter lack of privacy. So yeah, as nice as this place is, there's a certain lack of comfort and coziness? I also noticed that their menu/menus looked quite different. Initially I was handed just this Korean-Chinese menu...and when I asked if they had Bento Boxes, they handed me the Japanese menu, but I didn't see any sushi rolls on the menu (??). I should have asked, but I just let that go. In retrospect, I really regret not asking. But then again, I wonder why they didn't hand out ALL the menus right off the bat? Who knows...Maybe they had a third menu with a list of sushi rolls?? ANYWAY, I ended up ordering their Bulgogi Bento, which turned out to be quite substantial in portion, and well presented. The thing I didn't like was the bland, undercooked Bulgogi, with excessive fat. I've been getting served a lot of Bulgogi like this lately around town..and it has somewhat turned me off to Bulgogi in general. I personally prefer a much better cooked Bulgogi, with less fat. I enjoyed the Japchae, as well as the fried sides, but frankly, all the foods were all lacking in full Korean flavor. Some of the sides in the bento just seemed off...like these lackluster Avocado Sushi Rolls and a generic Salad (??). I felt that for the 32-dollar pricing, the sides should have been much better. This bento also came with Egg Drop Soup...but again, too bland. Guess I should have poured some soy sauce. As usual, the service was really good though. They even added this complimentary post-meal drink...this might have been the best part of my entire meal? I still think this is a really nice restaurant, with a lot to offer. I just didn't like how it got rid of many of its stellar Japanese menu items. Also, unfortunately, I just didn't like what I ordered. Again, the Bulgogi was too mild and too fatty...and all the foods in the Bento tasted a bit too bland. If I was to return, I would definitely not repeat the Bulgogi Bento. If they really don't have any sushi rolls, guess I'd order something Chinese?

I've heard a lot about this place from my partner, and I finally got to try it!…read more The ambiance of the area is really nice. There is an open kitchen style towards the back of the restaurant, and at the center, there is a bar area. The restaurant is relatively dark, fair warning. There was a unique selection of appetizers and entrees. So I had a hard time choosing, but for appetizers we ended up getting Tuna Tower, Wagyu sliders, and the Goku roll. Naturally we were a bit dull after that, but I wanted to try an entree so I ordered the seafood gumbo and my partner ordered the lobster mac and cheese (he says he gets this here every time). All the appetizers we got were AMAZING. I don't have a single complaint about the taste, quality, or flavor. The display was also very neat and nice. I will say the lobster mac and cheese and the seafood gumbo were a bit too salty for my palate, but I can tell that the flavor was there. They were very generous with the seafood for every meal, so that was a plus. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and come again. There were so many other entrées and sushi rolls I wanted to try, so I will update this review as I do so!
