I ordered a Large Vegetable Lo Mein and the delivery time was supposed to be 45 min at least. Food got here in 20 minutes and was piping hot. My mom found this place. It has pretty good chinese food. It's your regular run of the mill pick-up chinese food place! I gave the number to my co-workers at work, and they love it! The lunch special is our favorite. An average of only paying $5.00 for lunch is a pretty good deal. And it has pretty good portions. A good bang for your buck! I usually get something for lunch and then have the rest for dinner! Would recommend for lunch anytime! read more

This was my first (and unfortunately my last) experience with this restaurant. I travel to Chicago for business during the week - and last night a fellow colleague suggested carry out from Chinese Kitchen (they deliver to local hotels). I ordered the Cashew Chicken - a dish that I have consumed enumerable times from other Chinese restaurants. I am sorry to report that this was - without a doubt - the poorest example of Cashew Chicken I have ever sampled. The vegetables were bland, the sauce devoid of flavor - and the chicken was pale white and possessed a somewhat slimy texture. Unappetizing to say the least. I ended up eating the rice and what vegetables I could pick out. The only redeeming factor was that I ordered the "small" size and thus was only out $10 after tax and delivery. My colleague's dish was somewhat better (he allowed me to sample) - but based on my one and only experience - I will not be ordering from Chinese Kitchen again in the future. read more

Chinese Kitchen is a restaurant that never let my family and I down. We have had there orange chicken, beef fried rice, and up to their won-ton soup. It is a place that has high quality costumer service, their employees are absolutely friendly and the place looks quite clean and organized. My family and I have eaten at this place for as long as I can remember and they have not let us down once! The staff is very friendly and they always greet you with a smile. The restaurant is clean and there is plenty of seating if you want to dine in. I love this place. When my husband and I moved into Schiller Park, it took us a few tries at other chinese restaurants to come across Chinese Kitchen. We were hooked. This is the only place we will order from. We have dined in, ordered out, and have had it delivered and I have yet to experience anything but 5 stars. My 6 year-old son even likes it! The other night I ordered the beef chow fun. I 'm certain the noodles were left to sit at room temperature awhile because the texture was a bit rubbery and some of them were getting hard at the edges. The beef was fatty as well. I ordered chicken lo mein, shrimp fried rice, and two smoothies. I got my smoothies fairly quickly but had to wait 30 minutes for my food. When I went up to the counter to ask about my food they were extremely rude. If that wasn't bad enough, when I got home my brother opened up his orange chicken and found a hair in it. Ordered from the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rosemont. My order came in about 40 minutes, piping hot, delivered with a friendly smile. Sadly, the food did not match the service. The Egg Drop soup was about 4 times saltier than it needed to be. My tongue is still recovering. I threw 3/4 of it away. The Kung Pao Shrimp was sweet when it should have been spicy with chili. A small order had only 6 or 7 medium shrimp, and for veggies, they used celery and big chunks of green pepper, the cheapest veggies they could have used with the worst flavor. Ugh. Threw all those away, too. They should have given me chili sauce for a condiment but for some strange reason they only gave me sweet mustard packets, so I couldn't do anything about the disappointing flavor. Basically I paid 14 bucks for a handful of shrimp in a sweet sauce, some rice, and some barely palatable soup. But at least the delivery guy seemed nice. :/ read more
