Before we were seated our waitress was asking for what to drink. We usually shy away from Buffets but one of our guests recommended it. I am glad we did, I had mostly shrimp items including shrimp with broccoli. They had beef and chicken entrees also. The egg rolls were about the best I have had for flavor. Desserts were mostly fresh fruit but pudding and soft serve ice cream were available. The waiter and waitress kept our drinks full. Decor was a little outdated but we did not mind because the food made up for ambiance. I used the Men's bathroom and it was clean and fine to use. Next time we are in Mt. I decided to go there with my dearest friend, Joanna. The food was rather scrumptious and our server was polite and kind, but the front desk lady was possibly one of the rudest people I've encountered at a restaurant. (And trust me! Ive been to many! LOL ) the moment we walked in she greeted us with a harsh tone. When we got up to pay she was again rude, speaking harshly, rushing us, and slamming the plastic receipt holders violently down onto the counter. Joanna nearly jumped! By the time we got to my car to leave my experience (as well as Joanna's) had been tarnished. The food was alright. I judge a Chinese place based on their crab rangoons and these ones were sub-par. Crispy but not enough filling. The pepper chicken was my favorite, but everything was over-sauced. They do make sure everything is filled and decently fresh, so that was good. Honestly the stars I gave are for the service, they are super fast and clear your plates and refill drinks like a son of a gun. Not very friendly though, they obviously just want butts in seats. We had lunch here today. What I had was good and there was a nice variety of things to choose from. They weren't busy so it was a nice quiet atmosphere. My issue is every time I came here the floor around the buffet that isn't carpet is slippery. At first I thought maybe someone had dropped something but this is an every time thing. Typically I don't do buffets, but this was highly recommended and did not disappoint! Every entree was fresh and delicious as if prepared family style rather than a buffet. I don't understand the negative reviews. I've never had a bad experience there, and I've been going once or twice a month for about 3 yrs now. They have a great variety of food, keep it stocked and hot. Very tasty. The staff is standoffish, yes, but professional. If you like Asian-American food -- and want a choice of what to eat ( buffet ) -- this is definitely the place to go. They even have a few non-Asian items ( garlic bread, onion rings, etc ), as well. I recommend General Tso's chicken, the Sesame Chicken, and Crab Rangoons. Yum, Yum, and Yum. As the name suggests it's a buffet. When you walk in you are greeted to a gum ball machine and a good atmosphere. Then you are placed at a table or booth. You then order a drink and are free to wander the buffet full of fresh and amazing food. Once your done they have a soft serve ice cream machine and as Chinese restaurant tradition goes you get a fortune cookie. Then you pay and leave. read more

We still eat here every once in a while, still have never gotten sick or anything like that. The staff hasn't been shouting in Chinese to each other across the dining room as much in recent visits, so they may have gotten that under control. During the winter this place is always steamed up like a sauna because of the buffet steam tables and improper ventilation of the building. I personally am sort of grossed out that it is so "moist" in there, simply because it is abnormally warm and damp in there during the winter. Personal experience is from dining at the restaurant over the course of 16 years. As far as the other reviews are concerned I've never observed anything really negative with this restaurant. Like with any other restaurants there are times the food dishes will get low but the staff monitor them and refill them in a timely fashion. During my time dining at the Great Wall the food has honestly always been good and I have no complaints against the business worth noting in regards to that. If I opt for the to-go order the staff from the kitchen always inform me when new food is coming out. The price ranges from $7 to $9.65 which has been fair for me to pay. read more

I asked the hostess about the difference in pricing regarding children's meals and she got right up in my face and raised her voice. Then two other men came up and they all were talking loudly at once and everyone of them got in my face. I put my hands up and told them firmly not to yell in my face. I had to repeat this request more than once. It's not like I wasn't going to pay; I just wanted to know why the difference in price. I will never go back there again. First, I don't think it is very appropriate for any employees to yell in a customer's face and second, it is NEVER okay for an employee to yell at a customer in front of two small children.
