I usually order the Walnut shrimp which cost an extra 5 or so dollars. The last few times the order is not filled to the top . So I am paying extra for the shrimp and receiving less than the other pints. This has happened to me a few times I did let the employees know once but I guess telling them didn't make a difference because my last order of shrimp was not a full order. The chicken entree was hot and tasted good but the rice was a little stale. We asked for a bigger plate which usually has two entrees in the big plate and one in a separate container. They asked if they could just put it in the one container and we said that was fine. We ended up paying for the bigger plate but only getting the two servings. So I had heard a lot of buzz about Panda Express and they finally put one in Mount Pleasant. With inconsistent full serve Chinese food becoming the norm, I decided to give it a try. You get a LOT of food for the two entree price. That was nice. Soda prices quite high, as were the bigger (two and three entree) meals, but overall, this is consistent and you know what you will get. The only problem is most of it is very sweet, and your options are quite limited. But it's clean and fast, so you give up some option and pricing for a clean and quick meal. read more

I don't know which employee was worse when I visited the Mount Pleasant Panda Express, Wednesday evening, April 13: Jeannie, who rolled her eyes at me and walked away or Dave, who argued with me about the coupon I earned by completing the survey. I completed the requirements of the coupon as stated on the back: In front of me was two Plates, one of which I treated as if it was a Bowl. The free entrée, however, made it into a Plate. The previous week this was entirely accepted when I paid. But this week, Dave was having none of it and called last week's coworker "stupid" for having done it that way. Although I methodically explained what I did according to the coupon, Dave continued to escalate the situation in front of a crowded restaurant, which embarrassed me. I stopped caring about the whole situation and said "do whatever the hell you have to do." I paid and left. In Dave's defense he did give me an even deeper discount which only made me angrier because I wasn't trying to get more than the coupon said I could have. I simply wanted it to be fair. Either don't offer this incentive, rephrase the wording on the coupon or train your employees accordingly. I doubt I'll be back. read more

Rude customer service! I have been a long time fan of panda express in other places, and i have been looking forward to the opening of this location since i moved here.. But i had a pretty bad experience on my first visit to this particular location. I had a coupon for 1 free entree with purchase of 2-entree-plate they distributed at my apartments, so i had intended to use it. The item i wanted as my free entree was out at the time and they were making it. 2 new loads of it came from kitchen, but i was not served, while patrons who came after me kept getting served. I tried to get the waitress' attention by saying "Ma'am.." and she rudely tells me "IF YOU WANT FREE FOOD, YOU SHOULD WAIT". What. I have never heard such rude comments from a business establishment in US. Most disappointing. read more

I come here because First Wok hasn't been open due to Covid, even though this place is much closer to my home. Good food, but the portions are nothing compared to the other Chinese food places. $10 and I'm still hungry after I just ate. And this is the second time they've messed up my order, the first time they forgot 1/2 portions of Kung Pao Chicken, but they gave me a full replacement order, one entree for the one they shorted me and another one for my trouble since I asked for it. They still make you go through the drive through so the pickup option is useless upon picking up my meal they gave me Teriyaki chicken and broccoli beef and full rice, they said we were out of beef. If they were out of beef then how did I get my beef and broccoli, and they still charged me the extra buck 50 for the steak and shrimp. I'm looking at the other reviews and they claim that the manager is cheap and stops cooking after 8 so they just give you what they have. When I was in line to order I took the photos you see posted here. While taking these the lady, who I'm assuming is the manager or owner yelled at me, "NO PHOTOS!'. Everybody in line just looked around with faces that said, "Is she for real?!?" She told me if I didn't like it I could contact corporate, and that is exactly what I did. I mean in this age where 99.999% of business encourage and even reward posting photos on social media, why would Panda Express, which is like the Burger King of Asian food, choose to BAN taking photos? I emailed them 4 days ago and have not heard back yet. I will update this when I do. Anyway, the food was underwhelming in it's own right. The Rangoons had ZERO flavor. I have never left a Rangoon uneaten until I had these. The sauce was sickeningly sweet. The Chow Mein had no flavor other than wok oil. The Orange Chicken was edible, but just off. The Pepper Chicken was OK, but the celery and onions were undercooked and in too large of a quantity compared to the chicken. So, in short, mediocre food and sketchy policies aren't earning my business. UPDATE: I got a response back from Panda Express Corporate. The food is out of this country. The portion sizes are huge, they give you so much orange chicken! The floors taste really clean... Since the floors are new. The staff could be a little more diverse. I didn't even see 1 Chinese person... Kinda weird. The atmosphere is a mix between hipster and electric China. The vibe is so hot.
