Just AMAZING! This place is way better than Juan pollo. It was my first time going there today and I was blown away by the flavor. It tastes exactly like Juan pollo but the chicken is much better here! The skin is super good and breast is super tender. Will definitely be my go to spot now.

Overall, everything was good. The lady who served me was very charismatic. The flavor of the wings and the pescuezos is very similar to those in Mexico. I also had cheesecake, and it was truly delicious. My only suggestion is that they clean the pescuezos better, as I did find some with feathers .

I called ahead to order, and my wet burrito was already ready when I arrived 7ish minutes later (5pm on a Tuesday). It was really big, and all-up with tax it was $14. I definitely could have shared it with somebody, as I felt completely stuffed after eating the whole thing. Textures were good, but I wasn't the biggest fan of the salsa (I had chosen the mild one). I probably should have just gone with a regular (non-wet) burrito, for my preference.

It's a good value for what you get, but I think the chicken is a little lacking. For a mini meal ($18.99 I think), you get one chicken, rice (yum!), beans, potato salad (yum!), salsa, and tortillas. It's supposed to feed 2-3 people, but it fed my family of 4 with plenty of leftovers. I think chicken quality is subpar - it's a little mushy and the skin isn't as crispy as I'd like/hope. With that said, you can feed a family of four for under $20 with leftovers, so you're paying for quantity over quality. The highlights were definitely the rice, potato salad, and salad. The potato salad was insanely good. It's a juxtaposition here - subpar chicken with tasty sides. For what it's worth, it's good here. No problems with customer service. In fact, the girl threw in extra tortillas for good measure. Pro tips: order a larger potato salad and a larger hot salsa - will definitely go a long way.

This place is a joke lol wanna be Juan pollo. I ordered a chicken bowl and the chicken was super salty and to top it off they charged me almost 3 dollars for a little cup of avocado salsa which should come free with your meal.. I would understand if it was a side of guacamole or pieces of avocado..‍ what a joke!!

I struggled with the decision on weather or not to write a review for my experience here. If it was just about the service, they would get very high marks, but it's not like a destination sit down type of restaurant, so it has to be all about the food. When I finally decided to write this, my hope is that they will take the criticism and improve on it. I'm sure they can. The chicken is a rotisserie style and it is nice that you can clearly see that when you come in, but being a Mexican restaurant you want the chicken to have all those awesome Mexican flavors, and here, it doesn't. It's just salt and pepper, but I wish they would amp it up more. The salsas they have are very, very, VERY mild and have a watery taste. In fact, everything here has a watery taste, the beans, the rice, even the chicken. There were so many missed opportunities to put flavor in any and all the elements of their food, I just didn't get it? Why was the rice, like just white rice, the beans tasted like they were just boiled in plain water, the chicken had no obvious Mexican spices or flavor. I just didn't get it. We ordered 2 fried burritos, 2 tostada salads, and 1 order of taquitos. I must say they do give a lot of chicken in all their dishes, but everything we ordered was riddled with chips of bone. When I chomp down on bones, i can't help it,,,I just lose my appetite. Since I can't have my kids or anyone else eat it with confidence, not even my dogs, I just threw ALL of it away. While I was waiting for my order, I chatted with some regulars, they were super nice and we talked about how they come here very often. I'm so confused, either they don't mind the lack of flavor and all the chipped bones or I got really unlucky?? I don't understand.

This place is close by and it's chicken is always delicious. Very reasonable prices for the chicken, tortillas, rice, and potato salad family packs. All dinners include choice of mild or hot pico de gallo and your choice of flour or corn tortillas. The flour tortillas are taco size, not burrito size. Good value for your dollar! read more

Awesome food!!! Their regular menu is great. The chicken the sides, salsa everything. Who would have thought to go to a chicken place for menudo?? Well don't knock it 'til you try it. Its amazing!! Perfect amount of meat and hominy. They have a powered chili that goes with it that is BOMB! It's spicy and gives it an even better flavor. On top of the great food, they are family owned. Integrity? NONE! The lady, owner would not honor their own coupons. She said "no more use" and was rude about it even though they advertised it and the coupons were not expired. Why bother advertising? Will go and support other businesses instead. read more

I purchased the fundraiser coupon card n I went in there to purchase their special offer that they have on the card n they declined the offer !!! They said because it was due to new ownership so they won't take the fundraiser coupon really WTH?;? That's totally BS! The fundraiser card is effective till 12/2019! Rude lady there as well , anyway don't go there its a rip off to advertise their business special on the fundraiser card coupon n they won't let u use it . read more

I gave them a second chance because of the name change. But chicken is still dry, seems like it's overly maranated and meat desolves in you mouth... In a bad way. I bought dinner for my family and we can't even eat it. I really wanted to like it, but the food was consistently bad. Update : got harassed by one of there people (BrianaM) for leaving a bad review Chino Pollo: server FRESH hot food and people will come back. Don't cook it and let it sit, chicken gets dry. Do random taste test to make sure food is up to standards. And take people's input , good and bad. read more

We ordered takeout chicken, the family meal which is a whole rotisserie chicken . Potato salad, beans. Rice and salsa . The chicken was very moist and tasty. The sides were good, but I wish they offered salad and vegetables as alternatives. Overall a large and satisfying healthy meal for a very reasonable price. read more

We tried Chino Pollo for the first time on Sunday. It used to be Juan Pollo at this location. We had a family gathering and my brother went to Chino Pollo thinking it was Juan Pollo, but tue name changed! He was skeptical, but tried it! It was so delicious the whole family LOVED it! My mom is still raving about it and how it's the best chicken she's ever had. The glaze on the chicken was so good and the chicken was moist! We also had rice, beans and delish potato salad almost as good as mine, but not quite! :) It's just like Juan Pollo only better. I'm still drooling. I'm just sad I didn't get any pictures! read more

Used to be Juan Pollo with rude owner. This is the only Juan Pollo establishment who won't let you exchange tortilla with salsa, rice with beans. Everything is extra charge. Well, after the change it got worse, same rude owner with different taste of chicken and salsa. Now I drive to Central and Philadelphia to get my Juan Pollo. Same price, nicer people, better salsa and they don't fret when you asked them, can I have extra beans in exchange for the rice? The food is good but the lady on the register has no customer service. They have a sign for free chips for dine in customers I ask for some she said it will we $2.00. When the sign says free. When it comes to refills they charge you $.50 cents but they refuse to give you a receipt. She said is no way the register can give me a receipt. read more

The best chicken EVER and the potato salad is like a piece of heaven, dancing on your taste buds! I literally find myself daydreaming about their food once a week! In fact my mouth is watering just typing this! My husband I always get the whole chicken that comes with tortillas, salsa, beans, rice, potato salad. ALL top notch, fresh and delicious! The wet burrito and taquitos look amazing too but I just can't tear myself away from the whole chicken with sides! The chicken skin is magical, yes magical!! I especially LOVE the potato salad. I could eat it everyday! The staff was helpful at helping me figure out how much food I needed for the number of guests. Everything turned out great. Loved the texture of the tortilla and the fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The Baja was lightly deep fried and the white fish was grilled. Both were fabulous. With some more attention to the details, better event setup, and a little more effort, this spot could really be something special. Hoping to see them step it up because the potential is definitely there.

Look for the nondescript "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants, I always say. Especially when it comes to Mexican food. As such, Mi Pueblo caught my eye from across the street at the liquor store and my stomach dictated that I go... glad I did. Had 1 carne asada street taco and it was very good, if a tad small (see pictures): tightly chopped asada, nicely seasoned, not too dry or too oily, cilantro and onions, a dollop of a nice spicy red sauce atop it. $2 and I'd give it a 4/5 stars. Decided on a bean-and-cheese burrito that was $7.75 before tax and tip. The refried beans were okay, neither great nor bad, but they weren't warm enough to fully melt the cheese, and the whole thing was a tad "floppy-sloppy" in my careful hands. Still, for the price, good and satisfying. 3/5 stars. If you're passing through the 'hood, I'd pull over here for a good grubbing.

I ordered the shrimp burrito with light rice and got the chipotle sauce on the side. They also have a CLEAN self serve bar with salsas, cucumbers, and limes, which is always a nice touch. The burrito was huge and so good. My plan was to eat half in the car and save the rest for later... but I ended up sitting in the parking lot and finishing the whole thing. Every bite had perfectly seasoned shrimp, no skimping at all. The interior is clean, minimal, and has plenty of seating. 10/10, definitely recommend.

Sometimes that's extra hot, x-tra hot, very hot, or simply 4 flames. Whatever the next hottest level to the top one, that's where my tolerance any enjoyment align. Only two of those times did I have to admit defeat because it was much too hot for me. Angry Chickz was almost going to be my third. I reckon their x-tra hot level is comparable to the Reaper at Dave's Hot or 1930 at Clyde's. It's hot whatever it is. It was almost to the point of uncomfortable and not enjoyable. But I powered through it and now I know I'd probably be just a Hot guy here and leave those scorpion hot peppers off my chicken next time. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and got the line moving quickly. My only quibble was that they charge for extra sauces, where most places like Dave's just give you an extra on the house. It just smells a little of nickel and diming your customer and will probably be the main reason why I'll still choose Dave's over Angry Chickz. The space is great. There are a lots of seats, the place is sufficiently active, and it just has a good flow to the layout. All in all, it's a good addition to the Hot Chicken market with some truly fiery tenders. It's not completely my jam, but it's a good emergency option for now.

The sides here are consistently fresh and have a wonderful crunch, which is something I always enjoy. The Japchae here is amazing and the sesame oil on them is perfect. I recommend getting the corn cheese to dip your meats in. The steamed egg and the soft tofu stew is great too. They don't cut corners when it comes to the meats, and they are delicious. I will continue to come to this place.

Chino pollo is delicious. They were Juan pollo before but they recently changed their name. Still the same owner! In regards to the comment below (Maryanne) the Tuesday and weds special INCLUDES 2 WHOLE CHICKENS for 15.99 includes salsa & tortillas and has always been that price even before they changed their name. (I have been getting this special for years now) The chicken salad went up one dollar because now it's a cut up breast (all white meat) before it was shredded chicken(dark meat mixed with white). I love their chicken and their new menu items are delicious! They now serve sopes, flautas (soooo good) enchiladas, chimichangas, and wet burritos. I've only tried the flautas and wet burritos and I must say they were super good! The place is always clean, and I always get friendly and fast service. read more

This family owned restaurant goes out of their way to accommodate and deliver great food. They do offer delivery for large orders and you can order ahead for take out or catering by using their ordering app. Really makes it convenient to know it will be ready when you arrive. Food is amazing here! Got the lunch special all white mean. White mean is usually dry so was kinda effy about it but DAMM was it juicy. Also I hate potato salad but for some reason this potato salad was amazing. Customer service is great and friendly and they serve BEER! Highly recommend this fast easy and healthy!! read more
