My wife called in our takeout order. When I got there to pick it up the owner couldn't find it. She ended up giving my order to someone else. She then kept on answering the phone for orders and ringing up other waiting take out folks. All the owner could do is ignore and keep taking the money. She smiled when she did talk to me about it which was very unprofessional and ignorant. I ended up walking out and will never go back. we have been here a few times and regularly took out until we got smart. food was fine. eating in is better but the place is small. service is just ok. for take-out, forget it...the times they quote are a joke, it takes double as long and the owner just smiles and nods and takes the money and then you wait an hour for the food order that was supposed to take 25 minutes. save yourself the time and try a different takeout Chinese restaurant. read more

We were excited to see this place open in our neighborhood. Their food has been good, not great but far better than the competitors in the area. We have only gotten take out there, so we can't speak to the sit down restaurant portion although it is a rather small place, informal for sure. Menu is large which is nice. Our biggest issue has been the time given us to pick up our order. On two separate occasions we have been told it would be 30 minutes only to arrive and wait 15-30 minutes for our order. The curry beef was good and so was chicken fried rice. Garlic chicken and curry beef had a lot of onions, which made it look like it was a full portion but contained far less meat than typical dishes. I would go back to chins, I wish they would address the issues outlined here to make a better experience in general read more

The take out orders are never correct and you lose money. It would be helpful if they go over it when you get there so you are sure before you go home. The flavor used to be better. read more

Very decent food! Not overly salty or garlicky like other Chinese restaurants. It's the only place we will get Chinese food in the Doylestown area. read more

The food here is great, but it is way too expensive. The next time we get Chinese food we will go somewhere else.

All i have to say is that you have to try this place. The food here is good and some of the other reviews dont really do it justice. I recommend their steamed dumplings, as well as the chicken and brocolli dish. read more

Went there on recommendation of a friend. Did take out Sesame triple delight and asked if they could make it spicy and they said sure. Not only was my meal not spicy it was soggy and tasted stale(like freezer burn) including the dry noodles and egg roll. My last indulgent meal and YUCK! I called to tell them my complaint and they said yes the take out container and steam makes the meal soggy due to the sauce. THEN WHY NOT PUT SAUCE ON THE SIDE FOR TAKE OUT??So not buying that. The food is good, however, do yourself a favor and eat in! I called in our takeout order and was told it would be ready in 1 hour. That in itself is ridiculous but okay... I arrived at Chin's an hour later and it was full of other takeout customers waiting for their order, the woman next to me had been waiting a hour and 45 minutes. I should have left at that point but no I paid my bill and was told my order was not ready yet. Sure enough 40 minutes later they produced my order and apologized for the wait. In hindsight it was my mistake, I should have checked what was in the bag, but I didn't so when we sat down to dinner everything ordered was missing something or wrong: the Sweet and Sour chicken did not include the sauce, we got fried rice instead of brown rice, we received 3 spare ribs instead of 6, 1 egg roll instead of 2 and the wrong soup. I was beyond frustrated and vowed to never to get takeout from Chin's again. There are plenty of restaurants in the area that take pride in their food and service as well as value their customers, this is not one of those restaurants. read more

Don't bother getting Chin's unless you plan on ordering 1 and a half + hours early. We ordered from Chin's on New Year's Eve, and we were told that it would be a 50 minute wait, which was understandable because a lot of people don't want to cook, however the problem was when I went to pick up the food. I walked into the establishment 50 minutes later, to find that there were a lot of people waiting. (When I walked in they had just called number 51.) I was somewhere in the mid-sixties. I patiently waited on my phone for about 30 minutes when someone who had been waiting about 15 walked up to the counter complaining about the wait (they were on an order in the upper 50's at this time), and they were promptly told that they would get their order if they would just give the host their number. They were somewhere in the 70's. Instead of just giving the whiny person their food and going back to the high 50's, they continued to call more of the seventies. At this point I had waited 40 minutes in store, and 50 minutes at home, I walked up to the counter and explained my frustration to the host. I was told they would go check on my order, which was then hastily prepared only because I complained. Not ONCE did anyone offer any sort of explanation and or apology. It should be first come first serve, not first to complain. For $45ish dollars, an hour and a half plus wait, crappy service all for some overly greasy low quality Chinese food, we will NOT be going back. read more

The food was just okay and the service was horrible. The pan fried dumplings were overcooked making them chewy. The same for the won ton in my won ton egg drop soup. What turned my husband and I off even more was the service. More accurately, the lack of service. When we first walked in, 4 kids under the age of 21 were at the front counter. They have a sign stating "Please wait to be seated", yet none of the 4 made any attempt to acknowledge our presence. My husband and I both ordered soup but rather than bringing them out together, I got mine first as it was already made. That threw the timing of the whole meal off as we had ordered appetizers as well. The wait staff is young and very inexperienced. Neither waiter came back to check and see how we were doing at any point during our meal. Any time I don't have to cook is a win for me, however I won't be coming back here any time soon. read more
