For context, I rate products and businesses on a simple scale: 5 stars means I love it, 4 stars means I like it, 3 stars is okay, 2 stars means I didn't like it, and 1 star means I hated it or think it's unsafe. 2 stars. The food itself was actually good, my complaints really are not about the food. The problem is the restaurant itself and how poorly it's run. This is honestly the worst Chipotle I've ever been in, and possibly one of the worst fast food dining experiences I've had from a cleanliness and layout standpoint. The design of this place is bizarre. When you walk in and get into the ordering line, the line puts you practically on top of customers sitting at the nearest table. If people are using those seats, you're basically standing right over them while waiting to order. It's awkward and uncomfortable for everyone involved. Then there's the cleanliness issue. I could not find a clean table anywhere in the restaurant. There were at least six employees working while I was there, and not one of them made any effort to wipe down tables, even when they had opportunities to do so. The beverage station is tucked around a corner almost like it was an afterthought. It feels like they built the restaurant and then suddenly realized they needed somewhere to put the drinks. There were more dirty tables back there too. The bathroom was just as bad. My child went into one stall and there was no toilet paper at all. The other stall barely had any left in the dispenser, with a single loose roll sitting on a shelf across the bathroom. Garbage was overflowing and the whole area looked neglected. The food saved this from being a 1 star review, but the restaurant itself was not a pleasant experience. I won't be back to this location. read more

My burrito was soaking wet and immediately fell apart. The only way I could salvage any part of it was by dumping it out into a bowl. Maybe their bowls are okay, but my partner's burrito and mine were inedible. Other locations might be able to make a functional burrito, but I would never order from the Amsterdam location again unless they replace the staff with personnel who actually know how to make an edible burrito. read more

I used to love this Chipotle in Amsterdam but something changed in the last year or so...the food quality and prep went downhill and the staff was very rude when we walked in to order takeout, it seems like they only want to do online orders. The meat was grisly and not very good, and half of the veggies were missing. I still love chipotle, but not this one, I'll go to Schenectady or Latham next time. read more

Today, Chipotle taught us a hard lesson: never take sour cream for granted. My girlfriend arrived hungry and hopeful, only to be informed that there was no sour cream. Faced with this devastating news, she made the brave decision to leave with nothing rather than compromise her burrito integrity. I had an absolute horrible experience at this Chipotle On 4/1/26. We got to Chipotle at 8:58, keep in mind they close at 10. The seating was already removed, the drink stations turned off, no ice, at least three of the sodas I tried to get had no syrup because the woman doing the cleaning shift was making sure no one wanted to stay. She was walking around with an AirPod in singing very loudly. I have been to this location multiple times and I have seen her be very rude to customers and talk badly about them before but I have never been subjected to it personally. The other employees were super nice and I don't want this review to reflect poorly on them at all. Since all of the seating had been all but removed, an hour before they closed, we asked the employee making our food if we could still eat in as we had just finished grocery shopping and were very hungry, home was still a 35 minute drive back. He said "yes of course!" So we go to the corner, and set one of the rugs which were covering four stools aside, keep in mind, this was not placed on the floor so it would be on the way, I was eating with a rug sitting on the stool next to me and was completely unbothered, I was just happy to eat one of my favorite meals. Now, this employee who was super rude comes behind us and says "what the hell did you think that was there for?" and starts mumbling expletives under her breath. She then proceeds to start slamming the things she's cleaning, and continuing to say "unbelievable" and going on about how "there's an hour until close, why do you have to eat here" as if it is a crazy thought to eat at the location, that is closing at 10... at 9:05 at this point. She continued to do this the entire time we were eating our meal, making my partner as well as myself very upset and uncomfortable. I then went to talk to the manager about this behavior because as mentioned, this is not the first, second, or third time I have seen her act this way but this time I can speak to it as it is being directed at me. When I walked away, she then confronted. my partner asking him "are you done? are you finished though? if you are can you (expletive) move?!" It takes a lot to get my partner angry and at this point, he was livid. I then finally get to speak to the manager, as she runs back to go intercept because she heard me telling one of the employees I wanted to speak to him-- and when he comes out he says "we are all having a day and some people are showing their feelings. She'll get a verbal warning and I'm sorry." I don't really mind that's how he handled it because I understand- this is not what you want to be faced with at 9 at night when you've worked- however, this is not her first offense and I am sure I am not the only one who has complained. Her behavior is completely unacceptable and she makes that location an uncomfortable place to be. She does not align with Chipotles proclaimed values and I hope that they take it seriously and investigate the location because I am sure they would observe the same behavious since she exhibits it every single time I've seen her in there. Again, don't often leave reviews but with the way I was treated tonight, I felt that it should be voiced. read more

I've been to this chipotle a dozen times and most of the time, the restaurant is pretty busy and the wait is long. So I know better to place a pickup mobile order. Today I ordered a chicken bowl and when I arrived my food was available. When I got home I started eating the bowl and not long into eating, there was a brown hair about 3-4 inches long dangling between a piece of chicken and clump of rice. I rarely come on yelp to write reviews, but I had to make one after I saw this Chipotle location was just under 2 stars. For a little bit of context, I was traveling all day and was just looking for some food on the way to where I was going. I got everything on a burrito that I would usually get at home, but the portions here were so much better and ingredients in my burrito were evenly spread throughout. A man with dreads and a tattoo on his right arm took my order! Service was amazing and I was super satisfied with everything! I am confused as to why other reviews view this location so lowly, they deserve better! read more

We stopped by at 8pm on a Friday and the wait was very long. Though I don't think it was because the employees weren't trying. They seemed overwhelmed and understaffed. From what I saw every employee was really working hard, it just wasn't keeping up with the customers. And I will add that being a jerk never helps your food come out faster. read more

The dining area at this Chipotle is always filthy. It looks like they sweep once a week, if that. The chips are always stale here too. They claim to make them daily, but on three separate visits I've had to return the chips because they were inedible. read more

I love Chipotle and was so exited that they opened this new location near me but I was very disappointed when I went to eat there. The lady preparing the orders was not only loud but very rude with everybody. The person in front of me was having a hard time deciding if he wanted a burrito or a bowl, she told him, "you have to decide now Sr" she could have said it differently so it didn't sound so rude. You could tell she is was a supervisor o the manager because not only was she rude to the costumers but also to the other employees. All we could hear while we sat to eat was her yelling. read more

For a new location, very disappointing. Tables were disgusting. ALL tables were dirty, no wiping down of anything. Napkins blowing around in parking lot just outside the window. Plastic utensils on floor by soda station. Chips were so-so, some stale, some WAY salty, mixed with some crisp good ones. Staff were nice. Disappointed that lime wedges and cilantro were not an option to go in my bowl. Not impressed with layout either. Probably won't go back. read more

We recently had a bad experience at the Amsterdam location. I ordered on the App for a 810 Pick up, My husband arrived at 830 to pick up our food only to find that they did not even know they had a order to make. After they found the ticket that was printed and hanging they mad our food with little to no concern that its 30 min late. upon his arrival home with the food i opened my Barito and it was disgusting, mind you we eat at the Saratoga Location and never had an issue. This presentation was not worth the money, my entire buritto was slimy with salsa juice and leaking out of the foil. Not only to mention the current state of the grill they were using was less then standard the grill looked like it might have never been cleaned in the two months it has been open. We are extremely disgusted with this recent transaction and cant say we will be back to this location any time soon.m read more

Awful service. Lady at pickup window was super rude. She was heavy set, darker skinned (no name tag) and did not even seem sorry that our order was completely wrong and did not offer to fix it. Also she talked so loudly and talked with an attitude, basically screaming at me and said "I CAN PRINT OUT YOUR ORDER TICKET SO WE CAN TAKE A LOOK!" I know what I ordered and it was made wrong. She should have apologized and made it right. Workers were rude, food wasn't fresh. Some chips tasted salty and others tasted like they sat out for days.
