It's ridiculous to call this "fast food". It's excruciatingly, ridiculously, mind numbingly slow food- and that's if you're a 3 toed sloth. I like Chipotle, even though you take your life into your own hands when you eat there. I am not ever coming back to this location. After 3 years of coming occasionally, hoping the service may have improved, I give up. It ain't going to happen. It just isn't worth 20 minutes to a half hour of my time standing in line while cashier chats with customers, wanders off looking of guac, up sells chips, drinks loyalty cards, oil changes, whatever while the line shuts down (and she's the efficient one of the bunch). I'm a longtime fan of Chipotle, but like another reviewer, I was alarmed by the lack of Covid precautions at this Apple Valley site. Yes, the staff wore masks, but I saw no signs, neither on the walls nor the floor, instructing customers to maintain six feet of separation or to wear masks (at least while in line to order). NO ONE in the long line behind me had a mask on, and everyone was piled up within a foot or two of each other. Yikes. read more

Went here during half time watching a ball game and ordered online 25 minutes in advance. Arrived on time and had to wait for our food for 30 minutes. Obviously missed the game. I had time to download this app, sign up, leave this review, and will definitely have time to delete it. They told us our order got stolen, even though before, they told us that they were working on it and I stood there the entire 30 minutes next to an empty shelf of mobile orders. No one even came close to it the entire time, let alone stole any order. Then after we confronted them with that they told us that they were out of carnitas and that was the issue. I suppose we were just supposed to sit and wait there for hours until they restock on carnitas. Well they didn't, so instead they made us one with beef. To make up for our experience they gave us a bottle of apple juice and gave us extra meat, which we did not want and were not asked if that was something we wanted. Worst Chipotle within a 50 mile radius. We are not confusing it with any other chipotle. This review is specifically for this chipotle, trust me, I double checked. Please save your self time and nerves and not go here. The experience is bad, the wait is ridiculous, and the staff will lie to you. read more

They have reduced portion sizes drastically - my bowl was half the size that it normally is. When I asked for more veggies they still wouldn't put hardly any in the bowl. I love chipotle, it is my favorite fast food restaurant but this location is not that great. They are always out of some ingredients, the line is always out the door, the few ingredients they do have are crusty and nasty looking, the wait is almost always a half hour to an hour and half the time you can't even place an online order! And the thing that really really ticks me off the last time I was in, in the heat of a rush after waiting for over 37 minutes in line when I finally got to the front of the line I was ready to order a veggie bowl, they were out of guacamole, so I thought I would get the sofritas but they only had one small nasty scoop and one nasty scoop of fajitas. REALLY?!?! And the tomato salsa looked like vomit! how can you screw up chopping tomatoes? The only decent ingredients were brown rice and lettuce. Everything else was empty or destroyed. To top it off the workers were so unmotivated and slow, rather than greeting the people and asking what they want to order they carry on personal conversation!!! I waited for over a minute before the girl finally stopped chatting with her friend and asked me what I wanted to order. *NEWS FLASH CHIPOTLES WORKERS: I'm here to order food not to listen to you talk to each other about what you are up to!* What the heck can't they see the line of people waiting to order!?!?!? And the one cook who was chopping was so incredibly slow it was like he just woke up from a coma and drank some horse tranquilizers. Sloooooooowwwww! Rude! And totally filthy....not a good trifecta. This place is always busy, but I have seen much busier locations move a line a lot faster than they do here. So, hubby ordered a veggie burrito and they forgot the beans and charged him for the Guac that comes with that burrito. He didn't notice until he got home unfortunately. I got a burrito bowl and they forgot the grilled veg I requested and the tortilla on the side...someone in the line behind us received an extra tortilla. Every time we have been here they have messed something up. They either over charge us and refuse to correct it..manage is a complete ¥£!\^{! I can not believe that they haven't terminated the majority of the staff. Place needs to be scrubbed floor to ceiling and new staff...bathroom is a hot mess. If they do mess your order up and you point it out, the manager will rip your head off and tell you to leave. It's insane. Worst service ever! No one pays attention to what you are ordering so you have to constantly repeat yourself. They opened the doors late and didn't have everything ready at open. Guacamole was brown which if it's supposed to be made fresh daily I don't understand how it's brown at open. Staff was very rude and extremely slow. They not only were messing up orders but mixing them up too. On top of that because I got a chicken and Veggie burrito bowl she tried to charge me for the guacamole. The service at this location is beyond slow. There is always a line out the door not because its6busy because it's slow. This last Sunday I went there at 2:30 pm (not peak) and it took 45 minutes to get through the line. There were 2 people working the line and 5 in the back moving slow. SO DISAPPOINTED. I ordered my meal online (the line was clear into the parking lot) and noticed there were two people (and no cashier) scrambling to help customers along while others were standing directly behind them carrying on their own conversation, which was obviously too important to interrupt. When the cashier came back, she seemed rather annoyed that I even had an order and when she came back with it, she slammed it down in front of me without a single word (or receipt) and moved on to the next customer. I checked my order before leaving and the bowl it came in was drenched with something and falling apart. It was also incorrect (missing lettuce and I requested guac on the side) I went back up to ask for some lettuce and an extra lid to put under so it wouldn't leak through the bag. The cashier told the other employee to "put some lettuce in a cup" for me, which he proceeded to toss my direction. Even the next customer in line thought that was strange flying by her face and commented "I'm glad you caught that.." The order has clearly been sitting for over an hour and did not have the quality freshness Chipotle is known for. This is my second and LAST time I will be visiting the Apple Valley location. I would rather drive 20 minutes out of my way then to have to deal with the inefficient, unprofessional, and all around rude behavior of these employees. read more

This place has NEVER gotten our order correct. I don't know how much more specific we could be when ordering online, it clearly states on the receipt what we want (and have paid for) yet for whatever reason they are not capable or do not care enough to actually fulfill the order correctly. When I order something as simple as a "kids chicken quesadilla" and pay the extra fee for the chicken, I expect chicken to be in the quesadilla yet every single time, there is not chicken. Let me start by saying....I love Chipotle and even though I have a few complaints I still will continue to go here because it's the only location close to Farmington. However...the line is totally ridiculous all hours of the day. The employees are in no hurry and will spend a ridiculous amount of time walking around getting stuff and wiping stuff down at a glacial pace. Then you're nicely up front and ANOTHER ONLINE ORDER!!! I like to give establishments the benefit of the doubt before writing a negative review. I've been here 5-8 times and have yet to have a positive experience. The service is slow, workers are unpleasant for the most part. I always get a salad when I go, only once have they had dressing available, when they did, it was lacking all ingredient the normal dressing has. There was literally no seasoning at all. Gross. I won't go back. I'd rather drive to Burnsville or Eagan rather than go back again and I live a mile away from this location. Disappointing. read more

This was my first time at a Chipotle's, and I'm very pleased! I didn't really know what to expect, and I must've looked mystified when I walked up to the counter, because the server asked if this was my first time here. She was very gracious and explained how to order. I got a burritto, which was HUGE!!! It lasted me for both lunch and dinner....and I still haven't finished it. My boyfriend and I both got burrittos, along with chips and salsa and drinks and the prices was about $16, just slightly higher than McDonalds, but "cheaper" because it lasted us for two meals. If you want an example of why Chipotle is failing, come to this location. Wait time was 20 minutes - they take the 'fast' out of 'fast casual.' They do maybe a quarter of the correct sized portions and I shouldn't ever have to ask for more. The consistent portion amounts I always used to get several years ago is now nonexistent (why yes I want more than a tiny two finger pinch of lettuce, cheese, and sauce). They forgot the meat this visit on one burrito, when I asked about it, they threw a half spoonful of the meat that ended up get scattered all over, and when they folded it up, more fell out, so I was left with barely any meat, and my jaw dropped.
