Well I don't have a problem with culvers but this location should stick with ice cream and butter burgers. I bought the walleye dinner and I don't know what happened to quality control but it was so greasy that the breading was soggy and the pool of oil at the bottom of the container. We love Culvers. We usually go to Culvers nights which is a fundraiser for our elementary school. Its a great time to see community and we always eat in because the kids get a free scoop. The Apple Valley (AV) Culver's is one of the best Culver's in the south metro suburbs! I visited there this past Thursday evening with my family and of course it was a bit busy as usual. However, I've always found this Culver's to be the most efficient even when there is a long wait line to order. Environment: This Culver's is always clean from my experience. I've sat inside and outside, with both areas being well maintained and consistently cleaned/sanitized. Seeing that happen as well while I'm visiting makes me more prone to eat my meal there verse taking it "to-go". Food: I've visited here several times and have always loved Culver's Fresh Catch Fish Sandwich. However, this past visit I decided to try something different and get the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with crinkle cut fries and a chocolate shake. The size of the sandwich was incredible, the chicken was perfectly cooked, and I appreciated the lettuce, thick tomato slice and pickle that came with the sandwich. Absolutely delicious and was a nice change up from my usual go-to (Fish Sandwich). The chocolate shake was lovely, simply delicious and just the right thickness to drink! My husband got the strawberry shake which had fresh chunks of strawberries in it, yum!! Price: Overall price at Culver's is right in-line with most fast food restaurants however I do appreciate how Culver's makes everything fresh - so the fact that it's simply so fresh gives them a bit more leverage to charge a high price. Ice cream pints are a bit spendy but they do have a promotion where you can buy 3 pints for $11 - and their ice cream is incredible so I don't think that's too outrageous or out of line. Overall: I rate the AV Culver's a 10/10. Always fresh and delicious food at a good price and clean environment with friendly staff. I also enjoy stopping by just for ice cream and to understand what their flavor of the day is, which usually seems to be something extremely delicious! Give this location a try if you haven't yet already, you won't regret it!! read more

Stopped in at this Culvers after a dog photoshoot, and I had my dog with me and he loves when we stop for treats. Service was fast and pleasant, food was hot and tasty. Ordered chicken tenders to share with my dog, and an unsweetened iced tea. Short wait and the staff was great about getting food out to vehicles. It is very disappointing that every single time my husband and I go to this Culver's (which is becoming less and less) they can NEVER get our concrete mixer right! I think I go here once a week, which tells you their custard is pretty good. My go to is the cranberry bacon blue salad, where the chicken is always perfectly juicy. Went to this Culver's just now, took forever to run my card then they forgot the BBQ sauce and fork for my coleslaw. What am I suppose to do eat it with my hands? I said I wanted sauce in the drive through and the girl verbally confirmed it. Can't get back in line now because it's wrapping around the block due to Covid-19. We have been to a few different Culver's in the last month that we've lived here and this one definitely disappointed us. We ordered onions on a burger and it came without, we ordered a short concrete and got a tall along with a larger cheese curds. First the concrete did not taste like custard. If I had to bet, I'd say it was ice cream. It wasn't creamy and smooth at all. I also didn't want a large one. I know, don't complain about getting a larger one but I didn't want it. Not only is the food great, the service consistently good, this store is a great member of the local community. For that, I am giving them 5 stars. We have been coming to this Culver's for years. We like the frozen custard and have found many menu items that we love. The fish, both the cod and the walleye, are quite good. The chicken strips are crunchy and flavourful, and the burgers juicy and delicious. But let's face it, at the end of the day, Culver's is still fast food and you might be asking "why a 5 star rating?" Well, this store does so much for the local community. Fundraisers for the schools and clubs are always happening. We have been there many times knowing part of our purchase is supporting our children's school. And it goes beyond that. They hire people with development disabilities to work at the store. More importantly, the employees with disabilities are not stuck in the back of the house doing dishes, but given jobs interacting with customers. The pride that the employees show as they go about their job is amazing. I want to support a business who can help that happen for people! I believe that takes a great fast food restaurant and gives them a 5 star rating! It is one thing to serve good food and offer great service while doing it. Customers beware. Broken pieces of hard plastic or some type of element was in my food. I returned to the restaurant to advise the manager that I found myself chewing on foreign objects. My concern was not only for myself, but for my family and others who may have also been served contaminated food. The manager refused to give me the owner's contact information. Bearing in mind that Culver's fits into the "fast food" category, this is a great place to eat. Convenient "delivery to the table" after you order (especially nice for families with young kids, or for seniors who don't want to stand at a counter and wait) with very friendly service at this location. (I suppose some would complain it's "too friendly"... but relax; it's much better to have overly-helpful people than to have sullen or absent people, so I'm thankful for the staff in Apple Valley.) The counter team has always been very accommodating -- nobody rolls their eyes if you ask for an extra cup and spoon to split one sundae for two kids. A tip: The "Scoopie Meal" (kid's meal) isn't just for kids, is just the right amount of food, and the tear-off coupon/token on the bag (don't throw it out!) when brought to the counter at the end of the meal gets you a free small Frozen Custard. Friendly staff that have been trained about food allergies for special orders; a clean store; community active and involved, especially regarding certain "Culvers night" that area school kids shame their parents into dining on a Monday or Tuesday here because a percent of the evenings profits are donated back to that school. Now on to the important stuff. I think the only time I was ever unimpressed by the taste or appearance of my food here was with that odd Pub Burger. I don't blame this store though, it might have been me. Oh! Same song second verse, the custard. I'm also a Concrete Mixer fan and it certainly does rival DQ's Blizzard. The staff here is always super friendly, the store is clean, and the food is always good. It can take a while to get your food because they make everything fresh but that's probably why it tastes so good. Are usually get the pork tenderloin sandwich. No one else serves anything like it. This is the 3rd time in a row that I've left feeling very irritated. I believe the kids working there don't have much supervision. 3 times ago I ordered a caramel marshmallow malt - got home and it was made with mint chocolate chip ice cream. Had to throw it out. 2 times ago I ordered a burger - no onions - and got it home and it had raw onions on it. I am allergic to onions - had to throw it out. Today, I ordered a caramel marshmallow malt made with vanilla custard and a single scoop cone. The young person brought it out to the car, 90 degree heat, the malt was fine but the cone was running all over - no napkins! I said I didn't want to take it in my car and he asked me what I wanted to do with it! I said put it in a cup - a different young person came out with a small clear plastic cup with a small bit of custard in the bottom - I used to love Culver's - recommended it to everyone - been going to Culver's all over for at least 10 years.
