I know I'm in the minority, as proven by the long line always around the building, but I just feel like it did not live up to the hype. The breading texture is good, but I just found everything to taste kind of...bland honestly. A little seasoning would go a long way and would definitely put them in the running of the chicken races, in my opinion. I visited Raising Cane's Apple Valley (AV) location this Friday evening and all I can say is WOW. Now I understand why there is always a long line outside of this place, it's simply delicious. When arriving there was over 12 cars waiting in the drive through to order, so I simply said to my family let's park and walk inside to order. When inside I noticed that there was quite a few folk inside eating and was a mixture of teenage to parents with young children. I also noticed that the restaurant inside was a bit unclean with garbage hanging around the floors and tables. This was a bit of a turnoff for me, as I don't think I'd eat in. With that said, the food was delicious - 10/10! I appreciated how prompt the staff was when we ordered inside and appreciated the staffs guidance on the different meals and sides. I ordered the most popular menu meal: the Box Combo, and got it to go. Took the staff about 5 minutes to get me that completed order. When I received my order everything was packaged in a very nice bag to prevent any stains from grease from getting on my car seats. In addition to this, the front desk girl was very nice and informative on the menu items and helped make ordering easier as I was able to better understand what came with the Box Combo. When I took the Box combo and opened it, I was pleased to see the view of the Box Combo. In this meal, you get 4 chicken fingers, coleslaw, Texas toast, cane's sauce, and a soft drink. The meal was absolutely lovely and I enjoyed every single bite!! I could truly understand by the end of my meal why so many folks wait in the drive through line for this amazing-ness!!! Overall: This Raising Cane's is a 9/10. I deducted 1 point for the inside cleanliness factor. Beyond this though, the food was fantastic, the service was great, and the price was on-point at $9.99 for the Box Combo. If you haven't visited here I suggest you give it a try even if your not the biggest friend chicken fan (like me), I guarantee you'll still love this place and enjoy every last bite! read more

Cane's barely needs a review. It is a rare sight to drive by Cane's and not see a line of cars wrapped around the building. The inside of the Apple Valley location is clean and bright, and the eclectic art gives me so much pleasure--sports paraphernalia, The Hulk, Prince, you name it. The chicken is real chicken, breaded, and fried. No mystery nuggets here. But the sauce is the real star. And you know it will because they don't even ask if you want it. Of course you'll want it. 11/7/23 11:22am Went here for lunch, I had asked if Apple Pay was acceptable as I left my wallet at home. I had 1 card synced to my Apple Pay & it wasn't working for some reason, so I had asked if they can manually enter a card but unfortunately they couldn't due to fraudulent reasons. The man at the window had gone to grab a manager (presumably) to double check. Ian had came to the window and said that he'd cover my food !! What an amazing person! There are places that do one thing, and do that thing exceptionally well. Cane's is among those. Chicken breasts only, and only as tenders. Fresh, never frozen. Marinated overnight, fried to order. Opt for accompaniments of Cane's sauce, Texas toast, coleslaw, and fries if you'd like. That's it. No different seasoning or sauce options. Simple, and with speed to match. We opted to share a Caniac Combo, which includes six chicken fingers, toast, slaw, fries, a drink, and two containers of Cane's sauce. My Irishman doesn't care for the slaw here, so we easily swapped that out for a second order of Texas toast to each have our own. Even with a massive lunch line, our order of one Caniac meal to share took less than 10 minutes. Not a record compared to ordering at Popeye's, maybe, but this was fried to order, and you can tell the difference that makes within your first bite. The fries were fresh and piping-hot. I found the Texas toast too, uh, bready and donated it to my trash compacter/Irishman. The chicken was succulent and tender, not the least bit dry. The first bite instantly converted me - I could see why Cane's had such a loyal following, and given the speedy service, I could definitely understand the incredible lunch lines their counters and drive-throughs see daily. The best of the South in Minnesota! I love everything about Cane's! In order from my absolute favorite...sweet tea like my grandma used to make, that little barrel shaped ice, garlic toast, real chicken breast tenders (chickens don't have fingers!), crinkle cut fries!! Nomity, nom, nom! Not my favorite Cole slaw or their dipping sauce. We asked for an extra toast instead of Cole slaw, but they forgot and the drive thru was too long at 11pm on a Friday night to cruise back through. The crinkle cut fries were a bit mushy this trip, but I forgive them because of that sweet tea and garlic toast. My companion didn't understand why they had such limited menu until he tasted the chicken and sweet tea. He may have been swayed with crispy fries, but hopefully his buddies will drag him there again sometime. I know I will be back whenever I happen upon one! Usually fast food makes my stomach upset but I was surprised that Raising Cane's did not. It was my first time trying their chicken and it was delicious and tasted fresh also. We got the 6 finger combo with coleslaw, buttered toast and a drink. The fingers themselves were pretty large and I got full from just eating 2! You can easily share this box with 2 people. The chicken was crispy and had a lot of flavor. The toast was delicious and fluffy. As for the coleslaw, it was good but nothing to run home about. The drink was slightly watered down but I still liked it. It's probably good it was watered down because they are pretty sugary otherwise. One of my favorite places to go when I'm craving some fast food chicken strips! Always fresh and worth the busy wait times. The sauce is so good and addicting. I love to dip everything in it. The sides with the chicken baskets are super good and fresh every time. I'm usually not a fan of crinkle fries either, but these ones are perfectly crisp. Been to alot of raising canes over the years. Apply Valley is always great. Decided to try this one since we were over in Shakopee today. Ordered 2 Combos for $29 and change. Went to grab our drinks. Machine was out of syrup. Told the front staff. Went on deaf ears. Told them again 15 minutes later. Still on deaf ears. Took 15 minutes to get our food and the girl working the counter filled our cups for our drinks. Opened our boxes up and got the wrong orders and notified them. Took them another 5-10 minutes to figure it out. Ate our food and got ready to leave as we been there for 45 minutes now. Went to top off our drinks and the pop machine is still down. I visited this Raising Cane's location today for dinner, and I informed the store employee that I was military plus I showed them my military ID at the 1st window. I thought something was off so I asked for my receipt and noticed that I didn't get a military discount, but I couldn't go back to the 1st window cause the car in front of me moved so I had to move to the 2nd window. I informed another store employee at the 2nd window that I told the person at the 1st window that I was military. She told me she will see what she can do but then came back and said she couldn't do anything cause I already paid. So when I asked for a manager, she told me that's what the manager told her. But I asked that I would like to talk to the manager in person, then the manager came out and fixed the charge n I got my military discount. I do hope this was an isolated incident but store employees need to be aware of the military discount and honor it. read more

I placed my order at 3pm for pickup at 5:15. Left the app on as stated. Arrived at store. Asked about my order at 5:20 Said they didn't recognize the order. Waited...waited... waited. Asked again. Yay if you eat in, Nay if you take it to go. My first experience with Cane's was take-out and the fingers were soft and chewy. After a year hiatus I tried Cane's again and ate in this time, and they were fantastic. The Cane's dipping sauce takes a few times to get used to. Like coffee, cigarettes and beer it grows on you after time and you have to have it. However it is disappointing that the only other dipping sauce option is honey mustard (which is awful). All they sell is chicken for god's sake and they only have 2 sauces?wha-what? If Cane's was my business I would have a chicken finger sauce bar with new sauce varieties coming out monthly. Fries are decent and texas toast is the bomb. I usually wrap a chicken finger into the toast and dip. Soda has ice pellets like the self-service fountain machines that could be found in ice arenas back in the 80s (this is a compliment by the way). read more

I've been hearing the hype about Raising Cane's for some time. I was finally near the Apple Valley location when it was convenient for me to give it a try. So I did. Let's start by saying that if you're going to open a place that serves only chicken fingers and hope to stay in business, they better be absolutely outstanding. In that regard, I have to say that RC's were easily the best chicken fingers I've ever enjoyed. I ordered the Box Combo and received four pieces of moist, flavorful chicken coated with a non-greasy, crunchy batter. In the admittedly narrow category of "fingers" they merit at least four stars. The rest of the meal was for me just OK. A small side of unexceptional cole slaw, standard issue crinkle cut fries, a slice of dry, vaguely garlic flavored Texas Toast and a small cup of Cane's dipping sauce which grew less appealing after the first impression. I agree with others that RC's may want to think about offering a variety of sauces (for example: honey mustard, buffalo, garlic aioli, thai chili-lime, cantonese sweet-sour, spicy peanut, just to suggest a few). FYI: The lemonade is decent but, unlike the other soft drinks (including iced tea) does not come with free refills. Add it all up and I give RC's an overall meh. OK for a quick bite if you're in the area but not worth a special trip. read more

All chicken finger fanatics should add Raising Canes into their rotation. These premium white meat strips are perfectly seasons and fried golden. Texas toast and secret house sauce add to the overall experience. The crinkle cut fries are admittedly the weakest link in the "box combo" but not terrible. The Apple Valley location tends to be staffed with high schoolers with vary standards as it relates to being effective at their jobs. However, it's never terrible.
