Best chipotle in the Columbia area. Generous portion sizes and friendly staff. I wish all chipotle locations were like this one!

This is pretty much your average Chipotle with a few unique features including a very friendly staff, plenty of parking, and absolutely nowhere to sit. I hear you, reader, saying "Wayment... They ain't got tables in there?"... But don't be mistaken, they HAVE tables! Their tables are just so messy that ordering out is a no brainer. I'm talking food on the tables, soda machine overflowing with discarded ice, and ~literally~ zero cutlery for me to use to enjoy my burrito bowl if said tables were usable. Am I angry? 22 Today wasn't the best experience at Chipotle. The employees were moving in slow motion, no enthusiasm. I asked for dressing with my bowl and 1 employee said they didn't have anymore, another customer asked the same employee, he asked the manager for her and the dressing mysteriously appears from the back. I asked for 2 which was after I paid and in return I was asked if I ordered a salad. I said no as I didn't but I do like to add the dressing to my bowl. Then the manager proceeded to lecture me about how the dressing is for salads and you only get one and next time there will be a charge... girl! OK! I don't nor didn't have an issue with paying for the dressing if I needed to, my issue is that I was originally told they didn't have any and then someone came right behind me and asked and then somehow Chipotle had dressing! That's not my only issue though... I go to the fountain to get my drink, it is FiLTHY! It appeared as if they hadn't sanitized or wiped down the area since they opened or the night before. There were no napkins available either so I asked another employee for some napkins... ya'll the young lady said they were al out of napkins!... What?!?! How?!?! I had to go to my car and get some napkins so my son and I could eat outside. I almost forgot I ordered chip and queso a large BTW. They didn't even fill my queso container up all the way. This is the third time I have ordered a veggie salad with extra veggies and I get NO veggies. It is barely a salad when you don't have the grilled veggie. My orders are over $40 each order and this is sub par! read more

Ok so .. difficult times, I know but I wanted to post this review. I usually go to the Chipotle in Forest Drive because it's closer to my house, but this day (Friday 4/17) I was closer to the Garners Ferry location. I walked in, joined the line, but got out of line to go get my phone out of the car. When I got back, a young couple had gotten in front of me (no big deal I wasn't in a rush). When the couple and I got in line, we were very rudely told to leave because not more than 3 people could be in line. It doesn't state this on the door, except for something about no more than 12 people, but I'm not aware of the number of employees, so a sign about 3 people would be helpful. I got back in line after some left, and the (maybe Italian man?) was quite rude. I wasn't facing him and he said "Can I help you" very rudely. Usually I'm paying attention but he said it again "CAN I HELP YOU". So I ordered what I wanted. The line was taking very long due to a large amount of mobile orders. There was also a large increase of people trying to come in so another employee kept telling them about the 3 person rule (sign would be helpful!!!!!!). So, the cashier, a young female goes outside to give a customer their order (this is while I'm waiting to finish ordering my food) she is wearing gloves, picks up the bag, gives it to the customer, then opens the door with her hand (while still wearing gloves) and then comes back inside and proceeds to continue wearing the same gloves. You just touched that door handle with your gloves, and now you're going to touch my bowl, my fork, and the cup if I chose to order a drink. So I got to the cash register (where this lady was) and this is how the convo went: Me: "So uh what's the point of wearing gloves if you're going to touch the door handle and then not change gloves" Her: "are you talking about me or in general" Me: "this is just a general question" Her: "ohh.. well... [long pause] we just wear the gloves because the money is dirty" WHAT!!! Do you not think the door handle that everyone touched to come in here isn't dirty? Or the credit cards that you've been touching? Yes the money is dirty but that doesn't do anything if you continue to touch other things like peoples forks, bowls, drink cups etc. If they don't have enough gloves then just don't wear them and wash your hands after everything. Use some common sense to know that the gloves aren't doing anything!!!!!! read more

They should delete the app. I ordered on the app 20 min before I arrived and watched at least 20 people just walk in the door and go through the line and walk out with their food before I got mine. Why even have the app??? Ridiculous. Total wait was 45 min. read more

This chipotle is the worst one in Columbia. Have been back to back times now where my order has been completely ruined. Rice was way undercooked the first time and this time my burrito was super cold when and with limited amounts of the new pollo asado chicken. We just moved from Florida with two small kids less than a week ago and I'm sure you can imagine the disorganized chaos we are experiencing but ANYWAY.. my husband forgot his card and giving it over the phone wasn't working so they GAVE US his meal. The food quality at this location is good and I love Chipotle, but the online order process at this location is severely broken. The cashier is responsible for checking out the line of customers as well as online orders and during busy periods, they tend to ignore the online order. Over the past 5 visits, I have arrived at the scheduled pick up time to and they have not even started on the order. Other times, I have had to wait until the majority or the entire line of in-store orders are served until they make the online orders. They will sometimes offer chips or a drink for the long wait, however, given that these items cost them well under a dollar to produce it is well overshadowed by watching people who walked in the store after you receive their order first. read more

I like this Chipotle better than the Forest Drive location as they seem to be a tad quicker here. Nonetheless, its the relatively same consistency that you have came to expect from a Chipotle, I probably eat here once a week as its fresh, convenient, quick, and tasty. Their guacamole is always tasty, the chips can be hit or miss though. read more

I just left the bathroom after a 30min hot battle of sweat,tears,and the repercussions of shitty hot sauce. Food tasted fine going in. Even took a nap afterwards so I wasn't expecting the burn that clearly came from the deepest, hottest part of fake Mexican hell. read more

I placed an online order at 7:40 and it said it was going to be ready at 8 o'clock. When I arrived there were maybe three people in line and my order wasn't ready, so I sat patiently in the dining room for 20 minutes before I walked up to see what was going on with my order. When I walked up they had just started my order so I waited at the register for it to come down the line (i'd already paid). When the short male manager with dark/grey hair finished the order he left it and started cleaning the line. At this point I was a little annoyed so I asked him if he could just throw the items in a bag so i can go. His response was a very sarcastic "Yeah, somebody will". Inexcusable business practice. Online orders are treated as second rate by this location. Better off going elsewhere. Yelp is making me type more words at this point. Time and time again, I try Chipotle, thinking my experience is going to be better than the last travesty, and I am heartbroken. The reason why the Chipotle gets one star is simple--half a star for the kind man at the front of the line who started my bowl and half for the kind woman who worked the cashier. Other than these two employees, my experience is undeserving of any praise. I am unsure why each time I go to Chipotle, the workers struggle to hear me. It is not loud in the restaurant, and my voice is very alarmingly boisterous and clear. However, I always request just the tiniest serving of hot sauce, and without fail, whoever is "diligently" on line duty gets "pour-happy" and proceeds to empty a full ladle of sauce onto my defenseless bowl. Additionally, I am confused as to why it is so difficult to keep the various add-ons fully stocked. I always see workers in the back kitchen area just standing and staring mindlessly, while I too stare...at the empty vat of cheese on the line. In this instance, I asked for lettuce atop my now hot sauce soup with rice and chicken. I was served, what felt like, approximately five and a half total blades of lettuce out of the remaining nine blades left in the sad, nearly empty container. Lastly, I'm am unsure as to why, but would love answers, that this Chipotle location provided with me with a salad dressing that was not made according to the Chipotle recipe that I have had at two other Columbia locations. The dressing was so terrible that in fact, it made my hot sauce soup with rice, chicken and 5.5 blades of lettuce significantly worse--something thought to be an impossible feat. Ultimately, I am disappointed and can confidently say that this is the final straw. I will be taking my talents, and all of my money I spend on below average Tex-Mex, to Moe's indefinitely. read more

This is my personal favorite Chipotle out of the four in Columbia. The team is amazing and always have a smile on their face. The place is very clean. The industrial and wood interior is very aesthetically pleasing and warm. The music is always nice and never too loud. The location is perfect for lunch/dinner and shopping. Now to the food. It's always delicious. Sure, you may get a salty chip or five in the bag but it's salt, just shake or rub it off. Haha. The guacamole is fantastic! Yes, it's extra but it's worth it. The steak is amazing. I love the whipped sour cream. So smooth. You can eat inside or outside. They have a small patio with tables and chairs out front. All in all, a five star joint in a prime location. Give this Chipotle a chance. You won't be let down and if you have any questions they'll be happy to answer them. read more

Tonight I visited this chipotle which happens to be my favorite location, and to my surprise I recieved terrible service. I was given less than a quarter size amount of lettuce on my burrito bowl, my brown rice was undercooked, and the cashier was very rude. read more

Newly opened but very disappointing. Chipotle is one of our favorites, but this new one does not compare to other ones. I always order the Barbacoa, when I looked it was so dried out and the end of the bucket I asked them if they could maybe get a new one or something, instead the girl goes to the faucet and filled up a cup of tap water and poured it into the meat??? Ummmm....that's not okay and then made the taco and actually only put one string of meat on it I had to ask for more. The floors were absolutely filthy. I don't think I can't express enough how much I love Chipotle. This location in particular is the best location in Columbia. I like the fact that they keep the lemon wedges behind the counter because I've been to too many location where people will put squeezed lemons back into the public container. there seems to me no management here. everything was chaos the one girl with the yellow headdress was making food and ringing people up. she then began to cuss in front of customers how she's fed up because she had to replace the corn. then she told me at the register exact change only and I said keep the $20. tried grabbing my food and she snatched it out of my hand and the bag ripped and all the food fell out and proceeded to blame that on me. i told her she needed to relax and that I get that she seems to be the only one working. paid with card and told her I hope her day gets better. i see why there is a hiring sign out front because y'all dont seem to have quality staff. i am in the service industry and this was the worst I've seen in Columbia. i graduated with a hospitality management degree and would be more than happy to manage this place and turn it around. also get rid of the bad apples hah. read more

Decided to try and support since bad press- got a burrito- asked specifically which is less fatty pork or beef-"oh the pork- I don't like fatty stuff either" she puts pork on and I asked is that a glob of fat? "Oh no " and a coworker says we have a way of draining the fat off- he did ask if I wanted to try it first but they were half way through with the burrito- I got home cut burrito in half and guess what I got that thing em that was a glob of fat - about a third of a cup of fat- thank you Chipotle- I know your workers are young but I will tell 10 folks who will tell 10 folks- I truly do not like to be lied to- I will trust my instincts next time- how hard would it have been to take the wad or two globs of fat off- you lost me- I will go local - glad it was a coupon-they are kind and place is clean- ba-bye read more

I like the food. And eat here once or twice a week. This location is typically out of something and I have to either wait or do without. This evening they were out of the regular bowls so they were using a plastic bowl that looked much smaller then the regular container. So I made to the cash register ready to pay. Luckily before I handed my payment over I found out they were out of chips with a 20 minute wait. I placed my card back in my pocket, politely cancelled my order and walked out.
